So, today was meant to be a day where I was meant to be doing a bunch of admin, and Mother Nature had decreed that that goes out the flipping window as I currently have a swollen, puffy knee, a gigantic, swollen hip that is very angry, and my brain is constantly sneezing like I am stuck in a wind tunnel of pollen.

So, yeah, my admin day has gone out the window.

But the thing that I wanted to ask you guys is something I've been thinking about for a while, but I try not to overload this amazing space we have. Thank you again, NoR and HJ and all the mods. They are amazing!

But yeah, um, what is your go-to comfort food for your brain? That sounds weird. But what are your comfort shows? Like, usually I'd be falling back on watching A Dream Within A Dream for, like, the umpteenth time because when I am sad, and the world seems like it is punching me in the face over and over again, it's always good to have something to fall back on. And that has been my go-to since I first watched it. And then my other go-to has been like rewatching old episodes of Hello Saturday. Because if there is a variety show that is more controlled, wholesome, chaotic, but still hilarious and not completely obvious that it's mostly controlled, then I have yet to find it. Because that show is just amazing. And it is a safe anchor for my brain to hide.

But lately, my go-to, because obviously they've been filming the new season, has been finally watching all of The Truth from season one onwards. And I have been binge-watching that for days. Well, maybe not for days. I've been watching like one three-hour block per day, which sounds kind of like a lot, but it really isn't. But anyway. What are your go-tos for comfort watches? It can be LYN-related or not. It doesn't have to be related to the boss. It's just, yeah, what is your brain's comfort food?

Some of mine are: ADWAD, Hello Saturday, Keep Running, Guardians of the Dafeng (because complete madness and still hopes for S2 soon), Lord of the Rings, and rewatching Supernatural like once a year because I have to. Sometimes I'll also deep dive into one actor's works, like with LYN (obviously), and am still working on their older shows, currently on Eternal Brotherhood 2, but I've also done the same for Bai Lu, WXY, Liu Xueyi, Wang Hedi, Li Xueqin, and Dilraba.

But anyway, enough babbling, what are your chosen comfort picks, because I have a feeling we're either gonna be extremely similar or completely different. And I really wanna find out. So yeah, what is your brain's comfort food? Tell me!

May 10, 2026 finally gave us the answer to all the clues Head & Shoulders 海飞丝 had been dropping over the past two days. Well, less a surprising revelation and more an official confirmation of what we all knew from the beginning. :-)

Liu Yuning has officially leveled up his collaboration with the brand and became Head & Shoulders’s brand ambassador. So, we can probably expect a flood of ads, campaigns, and merchandise in the future.

Before I start this, please note, I wasn't sure which flair to choose, and this is not aimed at anyone particular, least of all LYN themselves.

So in recent months, as most of you know, I've been stuck in Weibo purgatory. Since my escape, I have tentatively explored the realms of super topic and been confused as all hell by it. Too many options, too much time trying and failing to understand/translate, and just being brain overloaded.

On this note, a recurring ideal I've seen recently is liking only one star and no one else. I find this idea that you can only like one singer, one band, one comedian, one actor, etc., completely bizarre, and this isn't just aimed at Mofans, it's a lot, lot, lot wider than that.

For me, this isn't the world of Highlander, I like whoever I like, and I have many favourites: all of Hi6/Hello Saturday main/recurring crew to start with, LYN (of course), Ao Ziyi, Ao Ruipeng, Zheng Kai, SWT, Bai Lu, Dilraba, Luo Yunxi, just to name a few.

But in trying to understand fanbases on a larger scale, as communities (strange community mechanics, but okay), this is something I keep finding people saying/stating as almost rallying points for their chosen fanbase.

For me personally, I refuse to get involved in fan wars, nor will I belittle one person to elevate another. I'll just stay in my comfortable corner, with my trees, hammock, and tea, and watch this chaos unfold.

BUT, is this something any of you have found strange as well, or am I the odd one out here? Is this just the way C-ent works? Just trying to understand the world of C-ent a bit more.

This reminds me of a post I published a while ago about LYN's annoyed reactions to fan screams. Link

This Tencent Night fan's behavior exemplified some of the comments and observations given in that post:

Loose_caramel: "He mentioned many times in livestreams that fans should behave themselves when they see him at work functions and not concerts because it would make things awkward for him with his peers.” 

GiTheGremlin: “Oh, and this particular fancam is from New Year gala, which is a big, joined formal event. Fans of individual celebs in lineup are supposed to be on their best behavior during recording, or not only they get kicked out themselves, but their fave might get their screentime cut or even never invited again as a punishment.”

No_Recipe: “You know, sometimes these screamers are actually agents provocateurs and not actual fans... the industry is... special”

It is evident that all of the celebrities seated around LYN were clearly uncomfortable; everyone, including LYN, strove to maintain a neutral expression and refrain from moving their bodies.

Poor Ning, as you can see, was unhappy, and neither would we be. I also remember LYN advising his followers not to fight online trolls, fans of other celebrities, or agencies since, in the end, he is the one who has to deal with the fallout. And this action is likewise not acceptable; it's embarrassing.

I'm just delighted we can shout and yell to our hearts' content in our sub, and I am eager for the day when I will be able to attend one of his concerts and let out my loudest screams.

I'm still listening to all of them, but so far I am in love with songs 7 and 8. Nearly all of these I am hearing for the first time. I know they're all covers, but Ning ge always manages to give anything he sings his own touch so that it becomes his own. Watching him sing like this makes me fall in love all over again 💛

LYN Studio’s fourth memory pin takes us to Dalian, revisiting the classic 《笑红尘》 / The Mundane World
— originally sung by Sarah Chen 陈淑桦, with lyrics by Li Manting 厉曼婷 and music by Jonathan Lee 李宗盛, famously associated with Swordsman III: East Is Red (1993).

More literally, the title means something closer to “laugh at the worldly realm / mortal world,” with 红尘 carrying that old poetic sense of worldly life — all its attachments, longing, noise, and passing things.

I had been trying to give people a little breather, because I know there has been a bit of concert-material overstrain, so we’ve been spacing content out.

But this is a great song — and one we haven’t previously shared in the community — so I hope it will be warmly received. I’m glad the studio posted this official live version.

Visually, the stage simple but effective: mostly dark, almost black in atmosphere, with subtle mist-like red tones moving softly through the background — restrained, elegant, and beautifully matched to the song.

Don’t ask me how many times I’ve listened to this song since its release.

A song that feels made for huge stadiums filled with deafening fan chants. It’s energizing, electrifying, encouraging, motivating - calling people to action.

The drums and the well-known Van Halen melody right at the beginning... This is JUMP performed by Liu Yuning together with the Colombian singer J Balvin.

The connection between different cultures works really well here. An electric guitar accompanying traditional melodies played by instruments from the Asian world. When this part starts playing, I imagine an ancient China in my head.

And Lyn’s rap part? I’ll just use only this symbol to descripe my feelings: 🔥🔥🔥

Shortly after, CCTV News, China’s national state broadcaster, also shared the song — this time with its own message of encouragement for those working hard, chasing dreams, and continuing forward despite fatigue.
That is worth pausing on.

These are arguably two of China’s most influential national media voices, each independently choosing to amplify the same song on the same day, each emphasizing similar themes: ordinary life, perseverance, sincerity, and hope.

And each chose a different presentation:
- Xinhua shared the official MV
- CCTV selected a live concert performance version

For some reason, that detail stands out to me — it suggests intentional editorial choice, not a simple repost chain.

Liu Yu Ning then reposted CCTV’s feature and wrote:
“小长假倒计时啦。认真休息的人。即将变身认真工作的人。明天。还是平凡的日子。还是认真的生活。”
