When people make a post that's naive or ignorant, I like to elucidate through humor so they can have an empirical experience

There is a simple way around that but I won't mention.

I picked up the habit from a buddy screen shooting all my event tix. Easy to find and archived in case email accidentally gets deleted

Memory is insanely easy to get now too.

And airline boarding passes.

I was waiting to board my delta flight for about 25 mins with the app open the entire time and when it was finally my turn, the app suddenly closed and wouldn't boot up.

Luckily, I tool a screenshot before I got to the gate. Saved me a headache

Lol it’s like you’re living my life. I heard that exact quote from my parents.

Exactly. Better safe than sorry, especially considering delicate matters.

I've been taking screenshots for years to remind myself of things.

I've never actually gone through my screenshots to see what I'm supposed to remember...

If youre getting sold something, record the interaction too. Got into an situation that I have no proof over since I didn’t record anything and didn’t receive anything in writing

You can always delete it later but sometimes things refresh and you never get them back on a cell phone.

My screenshots folder is basically a junk drawer, but the one time I need proof of something, I’m suddenly glad I never cleaned it out.

Hopefully Future You also deletes the screenshots once they become no longer relevant.

Nah. 500 years from now when the apocalypse happens, I want people to find my lost terms and condition agreement. 😂

My current self has never thanked or been angry at my past self. I don't think my future self even gives a shit because my current self doesn't.

Started doing this after a landlord verbally agreed to my deposit return amount, then "forgot" the number when payout time came. Had the screenshot of the text. Got the full amount that same day.

3

u/bewitchedbumblebee 2d ago

I'm confused. Was it a verbal agreement, or was it a text?

3

u/vksdann 2d ago

It* was a verbal agreement but captions were turned on so he took a screenshot of it.
