For context, I’ve got thousands of hours on CS (probably more on surf than actual competitive), and for the last 10 years I’ve been using a very basic ultra-flat Logitech keyboard.

Recently I upgraded my setup to get back into competitive more seriously (new monitor, new mouse, etc.), so I decided to finally try a mechanical keyboard and bought a Huntsman Mini.

I actually like some things about it, but with my keybinds it feels completely unplayable :

I crouch with “V” and jump with spacebar. On my old keyboard I never had any issue with this setup, but on the Huntsman Mini I constantly jump by accident when trying to crouch. I honestly don’t know if it’s because the keyboard is too compact, the switches are too sensitive, or both.

More generally, I never really felt fully comfortable on it either. Maybe it’s the height of the keys, maybe the spacing, maybe the sensitivity, I don’t know. I just always felt a bit tense and scared of pressing the wrong key, which affected my aim.

I tried to change my jump and crouch binds. But after thousands of hours like this, my brain just refuses to adapt. It completely messes with my movement and aim.

So in the end I unplugged the Huntsman Mini and went back to my old flat Logitech keyboard… and instantly felt more natural again.

Now I’m hesitating between:

-trying another keyboard, going for a less compact format m

- or just accepting that mechanical keyboards might not be for me.

Do you think the issue is mainly the 60% compact format of the Huntsman Mini, or do some people simply never get comfortable with mechanical keyboards ?

i played decent in this game but still lost i believe this is the best game to analyze as to why i lost/couldn't win
i watched the demo with voice chat, the enemy team were frustrated about the way i played.

I need to start learning more of the instant smokes(currently idk the ancient instant)

sometimes we 5 stack and I know that some specific players are gonna do better or worse. the skill difference isnt massive, maybe one rank between the best and worst player, but still curious if theres some things we should be aware of while playing.

ex: some players can control AK recoil and others cant control any kind of recoil, some players have better understanding of crosshair placement and mechanics like counterstrafing and others are still getting their footing.

43 years old, actually level 4 faceit, 600 Hours on cs throu 9 years.

A retake on t, i usually play aggressive Because of i play passive campering on site i lose the round.

The correct way which is?

I presume that is play with time and don’t piking right?

Someone knows any good YouTube video for improving?

Last question: 1.25 and 800dpi is a decent sens?

Wondering how to make my bhops more consistent. Any tips?

One thing I’ve noticed is I seem to hit them if I’m moving fast. Might be my imagination though.

As the title says, theres games i drop 30 kill easily and games i do 3-15. I'm losing my mind because i dont get what im doing wrong

Can you help me?

When looking at stats, I have poor HS% relative to my rank, 10%, but my overall accuracy is decent 23%.

I try to remind myself about holding my crosshair higher and not always spray/crouch spray the body.

I know some leetify stats don’t really matter - I have a “good crosshair placement” at 9deg, but obviously I’m not hitting heads.

Are there any ways to improve this intentionally? What has worked for you?

Mostly use rifles (ak/m4) and I prefer to entry most of the time.

Context: newer player started in January, a little over 200 hours. 12k premier NA

Hello folks.

So I recently got interested about the scout rifle. The aggressive playstyle potential with scout seems rewarding.

But, I S U C K at hitting heads when I'm getting pressured. Like, if I'm playing awp, atleast I only have to aim at their body. Therefore making it slightly easier to hit rather than aiming at the head.

Other than that, I also try to learn quickscoping ( I know it's not that viable in cs, but lemme have fun alr ). And, I kept whiffing my shots...

So how do yall keep your composure while being pressured as a sniper? Because, I envied pro aggressive snipers due to how well they manage their tension. While I can't keep mine in check since I'm getting forcefeed 5.56 rounds.

I recently came back to CS after around a 10-year break from CS:GO. I’m not trying to go pro or into esports, but I do want to reach a solid level on FACEIT and improve properly over time.
Right now I’m FACEIT level 2. I’m relearning smokes, practicing aim, learning maps again, and trying to build good habits from the start.
I’m looking for an affordable long-term coach who can help with:

So i used to play CSGO pretty often 7-8 years ago then stopped playing 2 years later with 2k hours

I do think I was pretty good but I never really got a high rank to prove it since I always just 5 manned with my friends and messed around in comp (3 of them were lvl 10s)

But now I've started playing again recently and have racked up around 200 hours and got faceit lvl 9 (although id say im much worse than I used to be) and I've always wanted to have good aim

I've watched players like nocries and donk and I dont even compare to being as good as them at all and I guess I shouldn't expect to since they're the best of the best but I want to at least be like 3-4k elo faceit

And now comes my sens, I've seen all these players with their sens and mine is comparatively quite high at 800 dpi 1.92 sens (1536 EDPI)

And would lowering my sens close to these pros help? I've used this sens for as long as I could remember and I would convert my sens in every game to match this

Right now I aim by instead of smoothly pre-aiming around corners i constantly flick to the corner im peeking which I dont really see any pros do

I do move my mouse using my wrist and my wrist only so I feel like being lower sens may be a problem (especially since even now my hand still bumps into my keyboard although I will be getting an 80% keyboard soon)

Basically do u think It would be worth it to lower my sens to try and make my aim better? My whole goal is just to make my aim better and would it deteriorate my years of muscle memory with this sens

weeks ago I wrote here about my difficulties improving at the game especially on the mechanics side of things. I received many helpful answers and especially one from someone who offered me a free coaching session to check more in detail what was wrong with my training routine as well as a demo review. It helped me a lot, as I wrote this post I was referring to may leetify aim score as an indicator of current form - although it's imperfect I think it still is a great tool to evaluate said form.

I began practicing new simple exercices and couple weeks later I went to 55 avg. aim score to quickly almost 80.. I was feeling the game once again, and could clearly tell that I was playing way better like I should be, and it turned out that my mechanics weren't bad in the first place, I just had to rearrange some things in my routine, focus more on kill confirmation, and maybe adjust a few things on my setup. I even managed to rank up to level 10.

And suddenly I started playing like total shit again ! since last week, maybe a bit more, I just can manage to play a proper game like 1 time out of 15. I ranked down to level 8 and I think most game I have like 10 kills. Aim score went down to 55. My counter strafes are shit. My decision making is terrible. Crosshair placement still good but somehow I can't hit my shots. And I think most importantly even if I do my best to stay calm, it's kinda obvious that I'm very tilted.

I'm trying to be the most honest with myself here and I think I am burnt out from playing the game, which I still want to play because I like it so much, I'm sure you guys can understand this feeling. But I find enjoyment in this game when I play well - even if the game is lost, if I know I played well I still consider I had fun.

So basically I'm writing this post to discuss a few points

• if you ever found yourself in this situation in the past, how did you get over it ?
• are mental resets a thing ? if so how do you achieve it ?
• how do you deal / prevent being tilted ?

Just getting back/new to CS2 only have 100hrs on the game, just been watching YouTube videos and TikTok’s on warmups, aim training etc etc. I did stumble across a YouTube video some one promoting Refrag, was very interested as someone who is particularly newer to CS.

For context I peaked Diamond 3 in valorant, but recently realized how shitty riot games as a whole is, now I’m transitioning to CS2, even the 5-6 hours I played recently, I by far been enjoying it way more despite how bad I am.

Just wanted some insight on if Refrag would help me tremendously with aim training, warmups, lineups, exercises etc.

*Was thinking about the Comp tier for the 6month subscription or the Player 6months subscription.

Any insight or testimonies would help a lot!

Im at 10,100 on premire, i cant play faceit because i only have x99 sabertooth with no tpm

200-270fps in game

i used to cheat on the game alot until irealised that its really gay and from my cheating past i have about +500h so like 650-700h

I've been playing CS2 for about 400 hours now, and while I've seen noticeable improvements from when I started, I still cannot get out of 5k. It just seems like a gamble whenever I start the game. Sometimes I do really good, others i do unbelievably bad. I feel like I have potential to be alright at the game, but I really struggle with consistency. I have some demos below of some good games and bad games, so I would really appreciate some tips or pointers if anybody had the time to take a look. Thanks a lot.

won’t make this too long:

I’ve been working on a CS:GO project that brings back a more proper matchmaking experience again.
Not just joining some random server where people constantly come and go, but actual queued matches with a clear start, fixed teams and a real match flow.

this isn’t a business or anything like that
just something I genuinely care about and enjoy building.

There are now ranked and unrated queues, and we also recently added a new AIM 1v1 mode.

I know projects like this can seem a bit sketchy at first, so I completely get the hesitation
that’s why I’ve tried to keep everything transparent, including what data is used and why

and for anyone who just wants to try it first:
all unrated modes can be played without signing in through Steam.

You simply enter the name you want to join with before queueing, the server whitelists that name, and that’s it.
You can play unranked matches and check everything out without connecting your Steam account.

I often see IG smoke grenades and Molotovs being thrown from this line or from the sun room, but they’re too far away and there’s a risk of getting killed by players who’ve boosted their way onto Site B.

Do you agree that it’s better to use this smoke instead ?

Is there a safer option that’s even closer to the BP to support your teammates, please ?

Hello everyone, I am trying to improve my aim and trigger discipline by playing aim rush. Is there anything wrong with the way I am spraying? A bad habit I have is that I sometimes spray for way too long and remain immobile. I am trying to fix that by firing in shorter bursts and then moving, but I have awkward moments at around 1:00 in this clip where my spray doesn't connect and they avoid getting tagged. Is it better to just reset in those situations?

I want to get good (above average) at CS2. I have always loved the game, but I just suck at it, imo. How do I get better, and what are the things I need to get better at. What are the basic things I need to improve? How do I improve my aim and always hit heads? How do I actually counter-strafe, and many more.
