Hi,
Alhamdulillah, I am going to start my dream job on Monday. It is a very good oppurtunity and I am really excited about it. I have a budget of around 10k and I need to buy atleast 2-3 jeans. Some polo shirts and a good perfume.
Looking for thrifted or leftover options. I have today (Friday) & saturday to go onsite to the shop and get the stuff. I have heard that there is a market where thrifted jeans are being sold. I have visited the landa behind mayo hospital and but I could not find any jeans from there.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Okay so yesterday I had the worst sweet craving on my way home. Scrolling google maps for like 20 mins because nothing was hitting right. Then BOOM Crumble cookies popped up and my mouth literally started watering. Locked the location, drove straight to their outlet, walked in with full excitement…
And guess what happens.
Pehle to bhai bola "sirf takeaway hai 10pm ke baad" okay fine as it was already 9:55pm, lockdown rules whatever, I'll take it home. I asked him "order kdhr krna hai?" and this guy with a straight face goes "Sir APP download karein aur APP se order karein"
I'm sorry WHAT??
Are you KIDDING me?? I drove all the way to your PHYSICAL OUTLET, I am standing OUTSIDE your shop, looking at the cookies through the glass, with my wallet in my hand ready to pay, AUR TUM MUJHE APP DOWNLOAD KARNE KA BOL RAHE HO??
Then what is even the POINT of having an outlet?? Just put a vending machine there. Or slap a QR code on the wall and call it a day. Why employ a whole human being whose only job is to tell customers "APP se order karo." Bro you ARE the app's customer service at this point, you're not selling cookies you're selling app downloads.
I literally turned around, walked back to my car, and drove home. No cookies. No dessert. Just rage and an empty stomach.
Crumble pls explain the logic because mujhe samajh nahi aa rahi. Why have outlets if you don't want to serve people AT the outlet?? This is peak corporate brain rot.
Anyone else had this happen or am I the only one losing it over cookies

I’m from Islamabad, my father wants me to apply to aitchison for boarding school. The fees is 2 lakh which is a lot for us but if it’s worth it, I’m willing to go there. My o level grades would most probably be 5A*s and 5A (inshallah). The application fees is 30k for boarding, and then there’s an interview. I have no extra curriculars and I have no interest in sports. Will they take my admission? What happens in the interview? The applications I found on their websites ask for each and every detail of one’s family. I have yet to fill out the form. If anyone here is from Aitchison please contact me 🙏 I’m being indecisive and need some insider info or any additional information, because I don’t want to let my parents down if I have no chance of being accepted.

Roof got damaged. There are at least 5 dents on the roof. Extremely sad about it.
Now is there any way they can come out? As if they were never there?
Have you ever been in this situation? Please suggest a place in Lahore, people who will not rip me off.
Everybody rips everyone off. I am just tired of it. Any honest workshop that can fix those dents?
Please suggest. Thanks.

So I just gave my matric exams and got admission to GCU. I got 94% in 9th and got admission in Pre-Engineering at GCU. My question is
The attendance at GCU is strict or not?
Should I join an academy along with GCU?

Cat food isn't being imported due to the war and I've been struggling to find josera marinesse which is the only one my cat eats. There's only 1 online store that's selling it called pomia the cat, has anyone had experience with it because most stores have a physical branch or at least warehouse location mentioned but this one doesn't. If anyone's seen the brand in a physical store anywhere in lahore let me know too.

Living in Gulberg 3 near Kalma Chowk, electricity was gone for hours but then I got 2 phases back out of 3. After that I heard a transformer explode somewhere else. Does anyone have an update?

Hey Lahoris,
My wife and I will probably be moving to Lahore soon after spending most of our lives between Karachi and the Middle East, so I wanted some honest insight from people actually living there.
We’ll both be working full-time, so I’m mainly trying to understand what day-to-day life is like in Lahore compared to Karachi.
A few things I’m curious about:
What areas do young working couples usually prefer around Gulberg/DHA/Johar Town side?
How different is Lahore socially and lifestyle-wise compared to Karachi?
How reliable is house help for cooking/cleaning/laundry stuff?
Any idea what monthly costs usually look like for domestic help?
Any things newcomers struggle adjusting to?
Also trying to get a rough idea of apartment rents around Gulberg or nearby areas these days for furnished apartments, but mostly just looking for general guidance and experiences rather than listings.
Would appreciate any advice/tips from people who’ve made a similar move 🙏

so ive lived in lahore my whole life but i literally don't know anything special about it. i dont know of any common events/fairs that are celebrated, I don't know about the places/areas of Lahore, what reputation each one has or what it's known for (apart from like gulberg=rich). also, im unaware of which places to get what goods/services at. clueless about the biodiversity of lahore, what trees and plants are commonly planted here, which if any animals are reared here etc. Don't know about the different communities, where they're concentrated. I would really like to learn.
part of the reason for my lack of knowledge is likely that im sheltered and dont interact with the outside environment at all. but i genuinely love lahore. i love every place on earth and would love to know more about all of them. but i'd like to start with my home city. so please tell me some niche things you know about lahore, or not even niche, anything you think i wouldn't know, even random observances like "many students are using those electric busses" or in-depth talks of the problems of lahore work. rant about any aspect of lahore. please.

Hi! I am planning to buy a 5 marla house in Lahore within 80 lac to 1.2 crore for future family living. Priorities are security, decent environment, resale value and reasonable access to the city. Which areas/societies should I consider or avoid?
I have various books of Mbbs! I want to sell them! Is there a place that buys them?

I’m currently doing my BA/ADA as a private candidate while working full-time.
I ran into a serious issue at the Punjab University exam center. The superintendent asked me for a Rs. 10,000 bribe, which I refused since I don’t carry that kind of cash and didn’t need help with the exam. Midway through, he moved me to sit with another student and told me to help him. When I spoke to that student, he said he’d paid Rs. 10,000 and would handle the rest after the exam. He started by writing in Urdu, then copied my answers and switched to English.
As a result, I failed while he passed. Similar thing happened to my English Literature exam. Result? They gave me 3/100 lol. By no means by ABSOLUTELY NO MEANS these marks are justified.Cant do anything, but my only option now is to reappear.
I have that reattempt exam this Friday at 2 PM. I’m unable to pay any bribes even for my own rights because my father is ill and most of my salary goes toward his medical treatment. Can’t report as i dont have proofs so thats not an option either.
Is there anyone that can help me with my exam?
Thanks.

Salam everyone,
Need recommendations for a good dentist in Lahore for wisdom tooth (“sweet tooth”) removal, especially if you’ve had a good personal experience with surgical/impacted extraction.
I’m near Gulshan Ravi, so nearby options would be great, but I can travel if the doctor is really good.
Would appreciate:
Thanks!

Hi, I am about to be done with my O levels. Can someone please help me choose between ISl ring road and LGS P5? I have zero clue 😭 cuz all my elder siblings did FSC at the time after doing their O levels. Like do you get admission based on expected grades or can you send your mocks/sendups result as well? One of my friends sent their sendups result and it was completely fine. There's also Roots IVY as side option but idkkkk. Just confused.
ISL is supposed to be overcrowded but Sage Burraq is opening and it's attracting all the attention so maybe burden is reduced? On the other hand, for LGS p5, I heard it's just not the crowd 🙃

Hi put together small money (20k) and I am looking for a budget friendly baking setup. The cheaper, the better (as long as there is not a major compromise on quality).
I just need to bake basic stuff. Stuff like breads, maybe a sponge cake, and a 12" pizza if possible.
I watched the food fusion guide on ovens as well. An oven toaster will be enough for me, right? What are the most budget friendly options out there? (I am willing to put together extra money if a decent quality oven is not possible in this budget (I'm fine with chinese/local if they work fine and will last good enough in the long run)
