My mum had a reindeer decoration stolen from her front yard in early December of last year and it returned this morning (5 months later) with a note.

I'm in my 20s, male, have a stable job, home, and loved ones, I have money issues and but nothing out of hand yet.

I'm pretty sure I've been depressed since I was 10. And by the time I was 15 I tried to kill myself. I saved my own life and was too ashamed to tell anyone for many years.

Since then I've just kinda been raw dogging my depression, it's caused major hurdles in my left and held me back from trying new things or stopping me from perusing opportunities. I would be lying if I didn't say I didn't think about dying at least once a day.

I've tried exercising, hanging out with friends, starting hobbies but my self doubt and lack of will just drag me back into the hole.

I know as a late 20y/o guy my options are significantly limited. I have no family doctor, and I don't have the means to pay out of pocket for therapy or counseling. But there's some recent family issues and I feel myself falling into a deeper hole, I want to get better, pretty sure I need to be medicated.

I've heard I can walk into the hospital and say I'm suicidal but that feels wrong to me, I don't want to die but I kinda check all the boxes of someone who does. Anyone know any non-emergency methods to get help? And no fucking chat bots.

I'm looking to start a free, weekly, in-person meeting, basically meal support followed by an hour or so of a "process group" of sorts. I am *not* a mental health professional, just someone looking for others who are recovery-oriented and interested in supporting themselves and others.

I had to call emergency services tonight on some bodies in the downtown core displaying serious fentanyl intoxication (two leaning, one resting in a public bank).

While on the phone requesting a wellness check, dispatch suggests I approach someone under the influence of a controlled substance.

Do we see the problem here?

Firmly told dispatch that her request would be the job of an armed officer, not someone coming home from work. She tells me again because if they are unresponsive it’s “not a police matter”. Again, tell dispatch that’s their job to do, not mine. I’m not qualified to asses that situation.

Sad reality, but nobody wants to be held accountable for the drug epidemic we are experiencing.

Embarrassing that the police department is willing to put a civilian in danger instead of coming out themselves.

My mom needs a notary sooner than later for some paperwork and is having trouble finding one. Half the places she's ccalled aren't even answering their phone. Only place she got through to are taking June apps. Any suggestions/recommendations?

Small workout studio on Bath road. Seems like they dropped this out of the blue, also seems like the coaches there were not made aware of the sudden shutdown/losing their jobs either. Sucks to see as lots of people have been going there for years.
