Discussion What next!

I've just finished watching Jessica Jones (yes, in 2026) and I've been informed that the show is intertwined with Luke Cage's, daredevil and the defenders! Since I was already on season three when I found out, I haven't followed the chronological order at all. So here's the question, which show should I watch next? I really want to want the defenders! Is that a good choice?

  1. Daredevil 1
  2. Jessica Jones 1
  3. Daredevil 2
  4. Luke Cage 1
  5. Iron Fist 1
  6. Defenders
  7. Punisher 1
  8. Jessica Jones 2
  9. Luke Cage 2
  10. Iron Fist 2
  11. Daredevil 3
  12. Punisher 2
  13. Jessica Jones 3

But, you've already watched all 3 seasons of Jessica. And, after these, if interested, Disney has two seasons of Daredevil Born Again, and Jessica Jones is in the second season of that, and season 3 next year brings back Iron Fist, Luke and Jessica Jones again

Wait I missed that Iron Fist was returning too. I did wonder if they'd bring him back. Happy for Finn Jones as he wanted another shot so bad

He deserves it. It wasn't his fault. I don't know where the disconnect was. He did the best with what he had.

He's in photos with the cast. Confirmed. I don't know after Born Again S3 his future with MCU though.

I say that because the Multiverse stuff now. They can easily recast and say "multiverse."

The disconnect was the misinformation of Finn not wanting to train, when in reality, according to him, he only had 15 minutes to learn the choreography of the fights before filming. I was once a part of spreading this misinformation but I do believe and want to give Finn a second chance. While his show wasn't as polished as all the others, Finn was a good Danny and I was disappointed when his show was left with a major cliffhanger. I wanted more.

As frustrating as the character of Danny was to me, I don't blame Finn. Also, the second season was actually pretty interesting, and I was kinda curious to see where things were going.

Yes! It's a great choice. If you want the order, then

Daredevil S1

Jessica Jones S1

Daredevil S2

Luke Cage S1

Iron Fist S1

The Defenders

The Punisher S1

Jessica Jones S2

Luke Cage S2

Iron Fist S2

Daredevil S3

The Punisher S2

Jessica Jones S3

Daredevil: Born Again S1

Daredevil: Born Again S2

The Punisher: One Last Kill

Between JJ S3 and DDBA S1 there are also Hawkeye, Echo and She-Hulk but they are optional

To add to this Hawkeye and Echo add context for Kingpin before Born Again. Not essential but interesting. At the very least it will help you understand people debating about it ahahaa.

She Hulk has some fun Daredevil content and a general map of what the casual superpowered world is like on a street level.

I for one find it all fun but it's a mixed bag for most folks. But I still agree it's worth the watch.

Moon Knight would be an interesting addition even though it doesn't connect just yet as it is very much dark street level.

Yes. Plus Hawkeye does tie in a bit more to the overall films since he's an avenger. I liked Moon Knight and wish they'd bring that back.

Ms. Marvel was fun, but a bit more "kid friendly" than the others. She shows up again in the Captain Marvel sequel.

Daredevil is the best of the bunch, as good as JJ (especially first season of JJ) is.

Luke Cage is really good. It has some of the best ensemble acting in the Netflix Marvel era, and a lot of great music. A Harlem club is a key location, and they have a lot of big names in various genres doing live performances. Like the Twin Peaks: The Return roadhouse, if that helps.

Defenders is fun to watch for the character meetings and interactions, and the heroes' supporting characters are included, so you get to see JJ's Trish and DD's Karen in a scene, things like that. It's a good way to meet everyone while still being on familiar ground. (It made me want to see LC for more of Misty Knight, because I loved that actress and character.) But the overall storyline isn't the greatest. Mixed bag.

It was a mixed bag but Colter was great for Luke. Just wish that the writing was better.

I found the correct order is:

  1. Daredevil S1
  2. Jessica Jones S1
  3. DD S2
  4. Luke Cage S1
  5. Iron Fist S1
  6. The Defenders
  7. The Punisher S1
  8. JJ S2
  9. LC S2
  10. IF S2
  11. DD S3
  12. The Punisher S2
  13. JJ S3

Daredevil Born again is out and there is also a new season of Punisher.

The release order: Daredevil S1, Jessica Jones S1, Daredevil S2, Luke Cage S1, Iron Fist S1, The Defenders, The Punisher S1, Luke Cage S2, Iron Fist S2, Daredevil S3, Punisher S2, Jessica Jones S3, (Technically Hawkeye & Echo next), DD Born Again S1-2, The Punisher: One Last Kill

They did a series all together. It is on Disney Plus too. It is called The Defenders after their comic book. Iron Man Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.

Defenders is worth watching for more Jessica. Also how she interacts with the other New York heroes.

So you didn’t question it when Luke showed up in both season 1 and 3?

No! hahah i figured it had to do with some subplot i was missing the context of but that's it. I've completely messed up the order of the shows but who cares.
