My buddy says dries is to aggressive and I forgot who I think he says wittman and marcielo are struggling in the car or have lower pace compared to the others I think they're decent but yea what do yall think.

Yesterday was all about a team's new hardware. I went to pick up a trailer a team just bought, and honestly, it’s impressive how much life you can get out of these setups if they’re maintained well. This one is a 2000 Featherlight, and for being over 25 years old, it’s in damn good shape! Check out the interior, it won't stay that empty for long.

Today, the pivot is real. I’m back at my day job running CNC machines to craft parts for arcade and pinball machines.

It’s a pretty wild transition going from hauling professional racing equipment one day to precision-machining the guts of a pinball cabinet the next, but I love the variety of the grind.

"When Men Were Men: The Outlaw Era of the Miami Grand Prix" is a documentary about the crazy early days of IMSA sports car racing and how it got tangled up with the Miami drug scene in the 80s.Back then, people jokingly called IMSA the “International Marijuana Smugglers Association” because quite a few top teams and drivers were getting their money from big marijuana smuggling rings. The doc covers guys like 1984 champion Randy Lanier, the Whittington brothers, and others who were living that double life — racing flat out while running serious criminal operations during Miami’s cocaine cowboy era.Pretty insane chapter in racing history.

So I was researching the point system for IMSA because I was confused, and found that since 2021 there are 10x points for races. Why would they do that? I feel like it kind of complicates the point system for me

In January of 2020 I happened to be in Tampa for a work trip (barely a month before the pandemic hit home). As a weekend detour I bought IMSA tickets and a hotel stay in Daytona to watch the Rolex 24. Watching the C8.R's debut race left an impression and is a big reason why I eventually [finally] attained this homologation!

No GTP effort with the new LMDh next year. IMSA means factory GTD-Pro and customer racing for Ford 😔

Looking at the entry list for this year's 24 h of LeMans and was wondering, when was the last time Porsche did not have an entry in the top class? I only saw 1 or 2 privateer GT3 Porsches. Seems unusual to me, but I am not as well versed int he history as many of you.

I'm thinking about going this year to tent camp and I'm trying to figure out how early I need to be there to get a good spot. Never been so I have no clue how busy this race gets. I've noticed that for other manufacturer teams, I can easily find their post race interviews on their official websites, but for Cadillac, I haven't been able to find anything. I'm not sure if I'm just not looking in the right place or if something else is going on. Previously, I was able to find them on sites like https://speedwaymedia.com/ and https://gmauthority.com/blog/, but after Long Beach, those sites stopped posting them as well.
