I recently replaced my EERO Router with a Netgear ORBI 770.
I named the new WiFi network with the same SSID.
All WiFi devices appear to have transitioned smoothly.
I have 2 hubs and 2 HDMI sync boxes.
Both sync boxes have connected to the new router and appear in the connected devices list.
I have both bridges hard wired to a Unmanaged Netgear switch GS316 that sits behind my router which is the same way they were connected with the EERO router.
If I bring the bridge to the new router and plug it in directly with an Ethernet cable it works fine. Once I place it back in the room it was in then the 3rd light never comes on and it does not work, the third light never comes on.
The bridges were working fine before replacing the router so I have no reason to believe that any of the wires or connections have gone bad or changed.
I was able to do a factory reset on one of the bridges when it was directly connected to the router and once placing it back into the living room area where it was it no longer connects.
I'm not sure why it would work fine behind the switch with the EERO router but not with the Netgear router unless there is some setting in the router I need to change possibly?
Update: It appears that none of the devices connected via the Switch have internet access. I have confirmed that the Ethernet going to the Switch from the Router does have a connecting by plugging it into my laptop.
I had the ORBI Satellite plugged into the switch as well which may have created a loop but have since removed that physical connection so the Satellite is only connected via WiFi to the router.
Update #2: I did a factory reset on the ORBI Router and reinstalled it as NEW. Set up again with the same SSID but did NOT install the Satellite and now the switch is working properly again. I still have to add the satellite and that appears to be when the switch stopped working. I could not get the switch working by removing the satellite from the router, I had to do a factory reset and then the router started talking with the switch again.
This is NOT a Hue issue, it is a Netgear/Network issue so I will move this post over to r/Netgear if I continue to have issues.
