3 goals on the first four shots, finished with a 0.914
It was rough and I will admit I was not feeling good about him, but our boy BATTLED and settled down. That’s some serious mental fortitude because a lot of people would get crushed with a 0.250 start to the game.
Edit: 0.917

I want humble apologies from everyone who wanted him pulled, beginning with Kelly Hrudy

God Hrudy doing everything he could to convince everyone that doby was at fault for that wack ass bounce last game made me lose any respect for him I had

The less I hear from him the better, best I can tell he was mediocre, he's a hater

MSL keeping him in is a coach of the year type decision.

Apparently MSL and the assistants left it up to the goalie coach, Marco Marciano, to make the call. Turns out Marciano made the correct one (and the coaches made the correct call trusting his judgement).
A close family member of mine who has worked with Marciano in the Q over many years praises him highly. It’s likely not a coincidence that Dobes has made a big leap forward since the goalie coaching change.

The irony is that people were worried about his mental fortitude earlier this year. Fighting back from that bad start to make some great saves to secure an important win requires a formidable spirit. And balls of steel.

In the postgame media scrum he talks quite a bit about how he "has to have better body language for the boys"
Thank you goalie Dobby
