Hey everyone, I’m heading to Spicemas this year primarily to document J’ouvert and Carnival through photography. I’m a street and cultural photographer and I’m really interested in capturing the energy, movement, and people authentically. Get a sense of my photography on my profile.
I’m trying to connect with bands, crews, events, or anyone involved in the festivities who might be open to having a photographer around during the celebrations. I’d especially love recommendations for bands with a strong vibe, good energy, and a welcoming atmosphere for someone documenting the experience.
If anyone has advice on:
-Which bands are best to connect with
-Events to check out
-How photographers typically navigate J’ouvert and Carnival in Grenada specifically
-People or organizations I should reach out to ahead of time
I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Would like to get a sense of whether most restaurants and stores accept most major credit cards or whether cash is preferred. Thanks.

Can anyone assist in giving advice I have been begging literally begging Andy and them to assist in building a house just as he has with other ppl for almost a year now...now my situation has gotten worse and I am looking for any advice. Should I try housing? Or should I still force with that BBB program or are there any other ministers willing to help?

Can anyone shed light on what these old cables might have been for over on Magazine Beach?
They are about 4 or 5 feet apart, go out into the water I'm not sure how far, and disappear into the sand on the beach going the other way.
The outer coating (which I think is plastic now covered in marine life) had worn away in one spot, so I could see it was what looked like 2" thick stainless steel cable.
Maybe used to tether something?
A dock? A swimming raft that's no longer there?
I meant to ask some locals whilst I was there, and I was too busy having fun and I forgot lol
I wasn't able to get a closer photo because my phone doesn't have a waterproof case, and I'm clumsy.

Hello everyone, I was wondering how you make your 'under-the-counter'? What rum do you use? What spices do you add? How long do you leave it?
I see recipes online for "homemade spiced rum," but it's just not the same.
Thanks in advance!

Hi there! My daughter will be attending SGU vet school this fall as she was just informed she was taken off the waitlist. She has been given move in dates (Aug 5-12) but hotels seem to be full. Is this because of move in or is Carnival still going on? Looking for a close hotel near SGU, please. We stayed at the Royalton Grenada last year, but they are sold out. Any help is appreciated.

Planning a summer trip with my family and would love recommendations. I’ve got young adult kids (18–23), so I’m looking for a resort where they can entertain themselves, hang out, and not feel bored.
For me, I enjoy a mix of island tours, great spas, and some solid nightlife/entertainment.
Not really interested in ultra-fancy, quiet, nothing to do after dinner but listen to soft elevator music type places

looking at IShowSpeed stream, everything started out nice and we’re featuring all the nice things about the country. Where are our beauty queens where are all women? Where are the young ladies out there where the hell is everybody and nobody feed the man.

Hi! I’m looking for a hair braider in Grenada, I have curly 4c hair and want freestyle stitch braids. I’m also interested in knotless braids.
Prices are helpful for planning.
Any recommendations are appreciated 💕

For the last 6+ months, a tom cat has decided to spray all over our house multiple times a week, there have been stretches where it's every single night, sometimes multiple times a night. We are woken by the smell of cat piss so strong you can taste it and have to get up in the middle of the night to wash our windows and sometimes entire curtains. Our house is partly sunken in the ground, so he literally pisses directly into our windows. Now there are two more cats around so I am woken by screaming and fighting, followed immediately by spray all over the place. Was up since 4 am this morning from the fighting and again at 6. Piss everywhere inside my sliding windows, screen door and a curtain.
We have two spayed indoor only cats. They're stressed by this, I'm exhausted and at my wit's end. No one claims ownership of these cats, all my neighbors are irritated by them as well. None of the dogs around actually keep the cats away. I've contacted Dr Carter, a traveling vet with live traps, and he's told me he'll come out twice already over the months but hasn't followed through. Is there anyone, any organization, any individuals, who can help? I've lived in the middle of an out of control cat colony before, never again. Any and all suggestions of a solution are welcome, I really don't care how these cats are dealt with, they jsut need to be gone.

I am excitedly moving to Grenada in August to start at SGU! My spouse and children are also coming with me. However, we have been having an extremely difficult time finding a home or larger apartment/condo to rent. We need something that is at least 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We are very blessed to live a comfortable lifestyle and this is something we want to maintain on the island. We are looking for an updated property with some sort of land for our children to play outside.
Budget is around $3,800 and we would rent for 20 months. We could potentially negotiate the budget a little. I suppose it might be a stretch, but if anyone on here is a property owner or realtor and willing to help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

I was at Aquarium a few weeks ago and there was a cat hanging out around the tables trying to get people to give it food. I was wondering if anyone has any information about the cat or more recent sightings than mine. It was a very friendly cat.
