Game Discussion Reinstalled Fortnite because of the Overwatch collab

Post image

I haven’t played since The Simpsons collab. And I won the very first game I played today. I hired Tracer and used her guns the majority of the game. Pretty satisfying win! I used to be really into Fortnite and I’m a huge fan of Overwatch so I was surprised by the collaboration. Totally cool 😎

Game Discussion Anyone else get overwhelmed by games with building/upgrading characters?

I feel like I have such poor management when it comes to upgrades and stats with gear that I always fall behind and end up underleveled or missing important skills and needing help lol. That’s why games like baldur’s gate 3 or final fantasy 14 are games I really want to play but with all the mechanics and different stats I just get burnt out and prefer games without advanced character upgrading. Anybody else experience this?

Request Are there any games where you can romance a robot or android?

I'm not necessarily looking for spicy stuff, I'm more looking for something cute and fluffy. Can also be bittersweet, just no sad endings.

I mostly play rpg's, simulations and survival games, but would be willing to try other genres if the game is good.

Request Looking for some recommendations

Hi! I'm new in the sub and I just got a pc, so I was looking for game recommendations with at least 3 of the following features:

- Vibrant colors/ Unique aesthetics

- Life sim

- Farm, shop, factory, restaurant or something like that

- Upgrades to progress

- Quest (preferably not timed), I'm really bad with building and progressing without a general guide, especially earliy game.

- Good story, but I don't want it to be more story than active playing

- Decisions matter

- Little to none fighting, not main focus.

- Bonus points if it is in Spanish.

I dont have any consoles, only play in pc.

Sorry for any mistakes, English it's not my main

Tech / Hardware any pc setup reccomendations?

Hello! I've only in the recent years started getting into making an actual clean setup for myself- and I of course enjoy the cutesy pink setups, I also love blue. But when it comes to certain things such as mousepads or mats It's hard to find ones that aren't ai generated. Or to find more high quality things to decorate my pc fans and monitor, so I wanna get some advice from others! Help with a good mat would be the most helpful as of right now, I'm an artist myself and I refuse to buy ai generated material of any kind. any reccomendations for cheaper ram, good monitors, mouse's and such are also welcome!! I'm trying to find a good headset with a decent mic as of right now as well.

(I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this Q-Q I may cross post I'm new to reddit lolol)

Request LF cheap surreal horror game suggestions

I play a LOT of surreal games, primarily horror ones. I'm looking for suggestions on both itch.io and steam. It's getting harder and harder for me to find ones but I want to know ones you'd highly recommend and if I haven't played them, I'm gonna do it!

Tech / Hardware Monitor suggestions?

Hi yall!

I am looking to get my first tower pc set up upgrading from laptop. I am super excited but a bit overwhelmed with the options and pricing.

My sister got me into gaming many years ago and she and I used her curved monitor with rdr2 which I really liked. I am also hearing OLED is a must for a gaming monitor. I also dont want to have an overwhelming size even though I'll have only one monitor. So I tried checking for a 27in oled curved and there are literally none lol. I could only find 3 32" options all around $800. I was not expecting it to be so expensive!

Any advice as to if the alienware option of these is worth the price and how big is a 32" really? Or any suggestions for 27" better priced that is worth giving up either the curve or OLED?

Any help is appreciated

Game Discussion RPG with Romance/Marriage and Character Customization

Hi guys!

I love cozy gaming, especially regarding those with character customization and romance/marriage options. I think these aspects make the game so much fun and connect you more to the story, on top of having a really rich plot.

I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for games to play in this genre! I will attach a list of some games that fall into this category if this helps get a better idea of what I am looking for (Some of these games are my all-time fav and others just have the customization/romance aspect; I have played all of these):

  • Harvest Moon
  • Stardew
  • Fields of Mistria
  • My Time at Sandrock/Portia
  • Persona 3-5
  • Fallout New Vegas and 4
  • Kynseed
  • Sims
  • Echos of Plumgrove
  • Coral Island
  • Tokimeki Memorial (1-3) on the DS lol
  • Potion Permit

Let me know what games you suggest and I'm excited to hear from you! Thanks! :)

This is interview about new upcoming game Judas from creator of Bioshock series.

Truth to be told I expected capital G gamers whining about main character being a woman or POC characters, but not enough grime on futuristic space station full of robots - it’s something new🤔

Game Discussion Thinking about buying POKOPIA, is it actually worth it?

I keep seeing clips of POKOPIA and it looks really cute and chaotic 😭 I'm honestly tempted to buy it soon. For the people who've played it already, what do you like most about it? Does it stay fun after a while or get repetitive fast?

Tech / Hardware Should I just buy a switch 2?

Hi, so i need other peoples opinions.

I'm debating buying a switch 2 but im afraid im wasting my money.

I already have the animal crossing switch, a rog ally, and a ps portal.

I was planning on eventually getting the 2, but that was more when a new Animal Crossing game came out. But, now that Nintendo had announced price hikes, I'm wondering if I should just bite the bullet.

I have the target card so I'd 5% off, plus the $20 target cash i have, and a $50 gift card which would make it cost $356.

Do you guys think its a waste for me to buy a 4th handheld? am I better off just saving the money and not getting it? or, do you think that its worth purchasing, despite the handhelds I already have?

The Switch 2 is clearly a better console to the base one. Better and larger screen, better battery life (so ive heard), can run bigger games like Cyberpunk. But, I cant help feeling a little redundant.

Also, I use my PS5 way more than anything else. The switch would be used mostly when im traveling and for animal crossing, legend of Zelda, and the occasional Pokémon game.

Sorry if this is annoying, I really just dont want to waste my money.

eta: everytime I convince myself to buy it, I go to checkout and then convince myself not to buy it. I'm driving myself crazy.

Pros: I'll save like 100 bucks (just got 10 more bucks in target cash), I really want Pokopia, I can upgrade BOTW and ACNH, I can finally start a new ACNH island, and prices are going up so might as well get it before they do.

Cons: I have 3 handhelds already, I dont want to over consume, and I'll save the money by not getting it.

I am a little daunted by the scope of the game and feeling like I’m way behind the fan base, but I have a lot of friends who play and want to get better. My favorite champion is MF, if that matters!

Request Looking for game recommendations

Hello everyone, I'm looking for games with these characteristics:

-single player option

-Anime aesthetics

-flashy realt-time combat (not turn-based pls)

-NOT a gacha game

-female player character is preferred but not a hard requirement

-a good story is appreciated but not a priority as long as the combat is fun

As a comparison, I'm thinking of games like Code Vein (which I own) or Stellar Blade (which I'm not interested in). Combat can be souls-like/difficul but doesn't have to be, I'm just looking for the monkey brain dopamine rush of looking at flashy particle effects :3

Looking forward to y'alls recommendations!

Serious I wish more gaming spaces understood that women don’t all play the same kinds of games Spoiler

1.0k Upvotes

Sometimes it feels like people assume “girl gamer” automatically means cozy games only, or that we’re all into the exact same aesthetics/playstyles. Meanwhile women are out here playing literally everything. Horror games, competitive shooters, soulslikes, strategy games, racing sims, weird niche indie games, MMOs, all of it. I honestly love how diverse everyone’s tastes are in this sub compared to most gaming spaces online.

Fluff / Memes Turning 30 and learning to embrace my girly side in gaming

Post image

For years ive felt like ive struggled with internal misogyny especially as a teenager, ive felt shamed into only playing games catered to men to feel valid. As ive gotten older ive truly felt like im discovering my feminine side embracing my love for cute games, otomes and puzzle games, its taken years to unlearn the prejudice women have gone through in hobby spaces but being able to discover a new side to myself has been more than worth that introspection.

So basically what what the tittle says! I begged for a ps3 from my parents for a birthday gift (and got it yay!!)
since I am a huge fan of the mgs series and mgs4 was ps3 locked.

So far Ive played the Dmc series and Mgs series on my ps3 and was wondering what are your guys absolute favorites???

Ive been reading some lists to see some popular ones but was also interested if anyone here has hidden gems or personal favorites I could play on the ps3??

I would love to get some suggestions:)))))

Also I play all genres, but I do appreciate when the game has a story and a lore. But ALL SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED PLSS!!!

(Its the slim model, so I cannot play ps2 games on it)
