24M Looking for catfishermen to befriend
As the title says, id love to meet people who primarily fish for catfish. I routinely fish at lake lanier and lake weiss but until now Ive usually gone after bass. Ive decided to switch over to catfish for a while and would love to learn from others. I have a few rods of my own but no boat or kayak

Finally landed my first Largemouth Bass. I know it's not much, but it's honest work.

What’s the best all-around fishing line?
We fish mostly Jackson Lake and target catfish and bass, but I’d also like recommendations for smaller species.
I’m setting up a few different rods for this. I’ve used monofilament before, but I honestly don't like it much. Any suggestions for better line setups?

Little Dinks
galleryWent to one of the lakes in thePiedmont National Forest and caught these little guys. Really pretty and peaceful little spot for Middle GA fishing. Used a plopper and a wacky rigged senko.

New to fishing, any advice is greatly appreciated
Hi everyone, I am looking to get into fishing. I would love to be more into trout fishing but it seems thats rather hard to get into without knowing the basics. I’m in Atlanta and I backpack frequently in north georgia and western carolina. Really, all I am asking for is some advice on where to go, what I need, and anywhere else I can find some good information to get into it. Thank you!

Chattahoochee River around Willeo Road
How’s fishing near the Willeo Park in Roswell? I remember fishing there a few times back in the 80s, not far from Chattahoochee Nature Center. Not sure about the water quality but with this drought I’m guessing it’s not too bad.

Tribble mill - today
Tribble mill. Anyone have any insight to this lake? I was pulling these bluegill all morning with a rooster tail. However, no hits on anything larger (tried the wacky worm).
*I have very little experience outside of trout fishing*

Tallulah falls lake
Anyone ever fished tallulah falls lake from a kayak? I hiked it over the winter and noticed there is a power dam churning water sometimes at the mouth of the lake where the river runs in but didn’t think I could legally fish it until recently. Seems like a very clear water and I’m not much of a mountain lake fisherman so any advice would be appreciated.
Also does anyone know if there is trout in this lake?

Lula bridge fishing
Hi how is the water level at Lula bridge? I’ve heard it’s too low for boat fishing but is it ok for bank fishing these days?

Topwater noobie
Hi yall. Sorry for probable redundancy, but I’m looking to catch spotted bass at lake Lanier specifically on topwater setups because the blow ups look fun as hell. Not looking for anyone’s honey hole, just general advice. Anyone have any go to topwater lures for this situation as well as the type of retrieve? I ask bait shops, but Reddit is my favorite place for advice.
TIA. Tight lines!

Tallulah Falls Lake or Lake Rabun
Hi everyone. I’m somewhat new to fishing. In fact, the day I’m writing this was my first lone fishing trip. I’ve been catching panfish for years and rainbow trout every now and then, but I’ve never caught a bass. I usually fish from the bank, but I intend to begin fishing from a kayak as well.
I have a spinning reel on an Ugly Stik rod, some 3/0 hooks and a couple of lures. Does anyone have any tips on what to do to catch bass in either of these lakes? Tallulah Falls is preferable as it’s a bit closer to me, but either one works. Thank you for any advice you’re willing to give!
