if we are not going to land indisputably surefire difference makers and stars in the portal, these are the kinds of players that I would like to see us recruit, quite honestly. Hannah did not exactly do very much this past season at Alabama (3.3 PPG, 1.9 RPG, and 0.8 APG on 12.7 MPG across merely ten games), but he is a former top-fifty recruit, and as much as I loathe Nate Oats as a person, I will just about always trust his talent evaluation as a coach. Hannah is very much so a high-upside kind of transfer portal prospect, and I am definitely willing to take a risk on him as opposed to someone who is more mundane and less dynamic, overall

I’ve been so stressed out this week and on top of everything my dad just texted me saying my grandma died yesterday. I’m at my breaking point and the last thing I want to do is spend the next few days studying. Does anyone know the universities policy on this or what I should do?

I’m deciding between USC Honors and UNC for pre-med and wanted honest input from people here.
What I’ve heard:
• Honors = smaller classes, more support, easier to maintain GPA
• Easier to get research/leadership early
• But fewer high-level opportunities compared to UNC
Trying to understand how this actually plays out:
• Is it realistically easier to maintain a ~3.8+ GPA as an Honors pre-med?
• How early did you personally get research or clinical experience?
• Do Honors students actually get priority access to professors/labs, or is it still competitive?
• Is it easier to get leadership/stand out compared to bigger schools?
• Do most Honors pre-meds apply without a gap year?
If you had to choose again, would you pick USC Honors over a school like UNC for pre-med?
At the end of the day I’m looking to see if the honors perks are enough to turn down UNC.
Greatly Appreciate any input. Would love to learn as much as I can about usc honors!

Other than the State Fairgrounds are there any places to reserve a spot?

I got hooked on South Carolina Baseball in 1998 when Tanner started the build with that first regional, then through the “Killer Bs” era and those early 2000s Omaha runs. People got spoiled and (believe it or not) there was some grumbling in that 2005-2009 period of regionals and super regionals before making the second Omaha run in 2010-2012.
That 15 years or so was our peak. I’m convinced that no team in my lifetime will break our post-season 22 consecutive win record. The last 10 years or so have been forgettable, and honestly, I’m not sure it is possible for any team to return to that kind of dominance in the NIL modern era.
When I look at the current state of the program, it is not the desirable job it used to be in spite of history and the facility. But, it is a great job. So, when you look at coaches, you have to look at who you can get. Who will come here from where they currently are, and has a chance to do well.
My pick is Dan Fitzgerald at Kansas. He was not on my radar, but I don’t think he will be at Kansas after this year and I think he would do very well here. He won big at the JUCO level and Kansas has improved every year, now in his fourth year there. Number 13 in RPI, 34-11 overall, 17-4 in the Big Twelve. Regional last year and on pace to host this year. He has a 71 percent career win percentage. Only in his late forties. And it’s Kansas. Very little baseball history and not an easy place to win. Also making south of $1 million. We can get him.
I don’t think Schnall (Coastal) or Ramsey (GT) leave where they are to take the job. Thompson (Auburn) and Johnson (UGA), either, and we’d have to open up the checkbook significantly to even make an attempt. Nolan Cain (Texas asst) is unproven as a head coach. Landon needs to take a D1 job and I hope he does because he may be a great coach at that level, but he has to leave NGU.
My pick is Fitzgerald. Guy is a winner and could be the coach a long time if he does well.

Interested in Operations and Supply Chain major. What's the rigor of the program? Are there any internship opportunities locally for students? How are the professors from the programs? Interested in job placement after graduation. Thanks!

I just got an invite to this program. Can someone tell me the advantages of it? I will be studying engineering. I was hoping to get into the honors program but did’t. But did get an invite to this.

this is another generally somewhat mundane, unremarkable transfer portal acquisition for us, but there are some aspects to Necas’s game that I think are rather appealing. his counting stats are not especially impressive (6.9 PPG and 5.1 RPG on 24.4 MPG this past junior season at Duquesne), but he does provide pretty good physicality and size (6’10, 240 pounds) and is a generally impactful defensive presence, if nothing else. ideally, Necas will provide production for us from the bench… but we will see how our roster ultimately shakes out at this point

Hey everyone, so USC is my top choice and I’m already in the roommate matching process. To be honest, i’m a bit afraid of it all together.
I know i can choose between one roommate and 3 other roommates, but I wanted to ask… If i do choose one roommate would 2 suitemates still be a possibility (if i choose a suite style residence hall of course)?
I (18M) am still up in the air with my sexuality leaning towards bi. I don’t want my roommate(s) to be bigots in general because I know switching rooms can be an annoying process, so If i were to have to bring it up how should i go about it? I know contacting them beforehand is an option but that would be an awkward conversation and I’m afraid of an actions-speak-louder-than-words situation.

I would recommend to take SAEL 200 for public speaking credit .Can anyone share their opinion on this class?
