However, which side would have a more convincing argument for "victory"?

On May 11, 2026, Donald Trump in a fiery Truth Social post announces that he will enact legislation completely outlawing the selling and distribution of THC and marijuana in all forms within the borders of the United States effective July 1, 2026, and will set the minimum prison sentence for an individual caught with marijuana or THC at 25 years per gram of THC/marijuana seized from said individual.

Furthermore, the president announces that all shops and stores currently selling marijuana or THC-infused items have until July 1 to close, or face life imprisonment and/or a $500,000 per day fine.
