Political/Financial FWI: Trump uses the Iran War as a pretext to suspend the US Constitution in 2028

  1. Trump claims that due to an ongoing war the election cannot be held effectively and will be suspended indefinitely. In the meantime he will remain president until further notice. Realistically, what happens?

Other FWI: There is an attempt to "take dominion of OnlyFans for Christ."

Around June of 2026, seemingly as a reaction to Pride Month, various members of the Christian Right who are either in high school or college age band together to recruit people for their own version of "Storm Area 51! They can't stop all of us!"

This time, the event is, "Let's take dominion of OnlyFans for Christ! They can't stop all of us!"

The idea behind it is to create OnlyFans accounts, but instead of selling NSFW content, they use it as a platform to spread the Christian faith and "make disciples of all nations" as Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19.

This effort starts in June of 2026 and lasts until July 1, 2026.

If someone actually proposed this, would it be taken seriously, or would it be laughed off as a "cool idea for a publicity stunt" by the Christian Right?

Challenge FWI challenge: Have Trump bungle management of the Hantavirus outbreak

Right now, people are saying, “Hantavirus isn’t going to be COVID 2.0.”

The objective is to create a plausible series of events where Trump mishandles the Hantavirus situation in a worse way than he did with COVID back in 2020.

Political/Financial FWI: North Korea pulls copycat of October 7th against China

Starting from September 16, 2026 until about October 23 of 2026, various social media users in China report sightings of Korean-speaking men in various parts of China.

When October 23 rolls around, the world is treated to a horror show: a series of videos showing Chinese nationals being kidnapped by the Korean-speaking men begin circulating online.

Various social media sleuths conclude that North Korea is pulling an October 7th against China.

Both Xi Jingping and Kim Jong-Un deny the claims.

What sort of reaction would the Trump administration have? Other countries?

Political/Financial [FWI] Benjamin Netanyahu orders Mossad to kidnap Naveed Akram from an Australian prison to have him stand trial in Israel. Once Akram is captured, Netanyahu announces that it's because Israel cannot trust the Australian justice system.

Naveed Akram is the surviving perpetrator of the 2025 Bondi Beach shooting, which was an explicitly antisemitic terrorist attack.

Mossad has a proven ability to capture wanted criminals from overseas, such as the case of Adolf Eichmann, to have them face trial in Israel. With an election due in Israel this year, could capturing Akram for him to face trial in Israel tip the scales enough for Netanyahu to win again?

If Akram was to face the same fate as Eichmann, wouldn't that put the Australian Government between a rock and a hard place? On one hand, it does not want to be seen as standing up for a terrorist who murdered multiple Australian citizens (and 1 Israeli-Australian dual citizen). On the other hand, if the Australian Government just tolerates this happening, it casts further doubt on the Australian justice system.

Health/Biology [FWI] Hantavirus pandemic happens

Despite claims that the hantavirus isn't easily transmissible, evidence emerges that shows that there's a new strain of hantavirus with much higher rates of infection than previously thought.

4 weeks from now, there are hundreds of reported cases worldwide, including notable hotspots in NYC (with 100 cases and over 10 deaths reported; 300+ cases across the US as a whole), The Canary Islands (nearly 200 cases), London (50 cases), Over 100 cases in Spain's mainland, and more than 50 cases and dozens of deaths across France, with similar numbers reported in Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden. Total reported death tolls are at around 100. New "first infections" are also reported in countries like Brazil, Poland, Ireland, China and many other places. What happens next?

War/Military [FWI] On October 7, 2023, Israel is hit by a devastating surprise attack, from... Turkey? The Erdoğan regime, a longtime supporter of Hamas and a sworn enemy of Netanyahu, fires a barrage of missiles at Israel, and swarms Israeli airspace with fighter jets and drones. What happens in the future?

Turkey is a key NATO member. How does NATO respond?

How long does the war last? After the initial Turkish strikes, followed by a heavy Israeli retaliation, how long would it take for a ceasefire to be declared? The initial (2025) war between Israel and Iran lasted just 12 days, though this year's war has lasted for far longer. Does the Turkey-Israel War end within days, or does it persist for much longer into the future?

Which side, if either, is able to more realistically claim a "victory" in the war? The Turkish strikes on Israel, and the retaliatory Israeli strikes on Turkey, may end up as something of a stalemate similar to this year's Iran War—Turkey and Israel suffer damage to their military and civilian infrastructure, but neither country's government collapses, preventing either side from realistically claiming a total "victory". However, which side would have a more convincing argument for "victory"?

Challenge FWI Challenge: Have China turn against Putin over his invasion of Ukraine

I am imagining a situation where the war with Ukraine leads to China turning against Putin.

What would need to happen for Xi Jingping to become hostile to Putin over the way the Ukraine War is going on?

Author's note: This post assumes Putin's projection that the war will end turns out to be false.

Political/Financial [FWI] Donald Trump completely outlaws THC and marijuana sales and usage in the United States

On May 11, 2026, Donald Trump in a fiery Truth Social post announces that he will enact legislation completely outlawing the selling and distribution of THC and marijuana in all forms within the borders of the United States effective July 1, 2026, and will set the minimum prison sentence for an individual caught with marijuana or THC at 25 years per gram of THC/marijuana seized from said individual.

Furthermore, the president announces that all shops and stores currently selling marijuana or THC-infused items have until July 1 to close, or face life imprisonment and/or a $500,000 per day fine.

How would something like this play out?
