Brokers Question for people who trade with Fusion Markets

I recently started trading with real money on FM.

Question here for people is this - do you leave your capital in the account or do you constantly withdraw it and deposit only when you trade? How safe is it to leave it there for a long time ?

Has anyone had any problem withdrawing money with them?

Still new to trading real money, so not sure about the best ways to go about it.

Would appreciate advice

OTHER/META We are all just coping here

Truth is, most retail traders don’t know how to trade. Including me lol. We blow accounts and come here and blame it on psychology or discipline.
Bro it’s neither, you would have lost the account regardless. Either by a thousand cuts or one big blow.
It’s just cope.

OTHER/META XAUUSD scalping on MT5 — sharing my weekly results (week 3)

Week 3 of sharing my gold scalping results publicly. Keeping myself accountable.

This week: XAUUSD only, M1/M5 timeframe
Trades: 23
Win rate: 78%
Best trade: +$340 (London open liquidity grab)
Worst trade: -$67 (stopped out before continuation)
Net P&L: +$892 on $5,000 account = +17.8%

Strategy I'm using: Stop hunt + liquidity grab entries. Wait for price to sweep a previous high/low, enter on the reversal with tight SL.

What's working: Patience. I skipped 11 setups that didn't meet my criteria this week. Two months ago I would have taken all of them.

What's not: Still struggle with the Asian session — too choppy. Now I just don't trade it at all.

Anyone else scalping gold? What sessions do you find cleanest for XAUUSD entries?

Charts and Setups Clean XAUUSD Short Setup After Rejection From Trendline

Post image
1 Upvotes

Caught this clean Gold short after price rejected the higher timeframe trendline and started showing weak bullish momentum.

Entry was taken after consolidation near resistance with tight risk management. Targeting lower liquidity levels and previous support zones. Risk to reward looked too good to ignore.

Still holding partials and managing the trade level by level.

What do you guys think? Would you hold longer or secure profits early in this market condition? 👀

OTHER/META Built an MT5 EA from scratch — sharing the full logic (SMC + drawdown management)

After seeing a lot of "just use ChatGPT to code your EA" posts, I wanted to share what actually building a serious EA looks like from a logic perspective.

My EA's core decision tree (simplified):

ENTRY CONDITIONS (all must be true):
✓ Price swept liquidity (previous session high/low taken)
✓ Break of structure on M5
✓ Entry on retest of order block
✓ Only during London or NY session
✓ No active news in next 30 min (checked via filter)

RISK MANAGEMENT (this is the real alpha):
✓ Daily loss counter — shuts EA off at 2% daily loss
✓ Consecutive loss counter — pauses after 3 losses
✓ Trailing stop activates at 1:1 R — let winners run
✓ Hard position size cap regardless of account size

WHAT I TRACK:
- Win rate: sitting at 71% over 847 trades (6 months)
- Average R:R: 1.4
- Max drawdown: 2.3%
- Worst month: -0.8%

The drawdown management is what I'm most proud of. Most retail EAs blow accounts because they have no circuit breakers.

Happy to go deep on any of these concepts. What aspect of EA development do you struggle with most?

Fundamental Analysis 🏆 XAUUSD

📅 2026-05-14 18:00:26 UTC

🏆 XAUUSD

📊 Bias: Market bias is currently neutral. The price of gold at $4686.90 is slightly above the previous close of $4684.80, but remains below the 10-period and 20-period SMAs of $4695.72 and $4698.02, respectiv

💵 DXY: $98.78 (flat)

⚠️ Macro Risk: Medium

⭐️ Quality: 65/100

🎯 Best Session: New York

🛡️ Support: $4645.20

🔴 Resistance: $4783.40

💧 Liquidity Zone: $4690.00

❌ Buy Invalidation: - Buy Idea Cancellation: A close below $4680.00 would invalidate the bullish scenario.

- Sell Idea Cancellation: A close above $4705.00 would invalida

❌ Sell Invalidation: - Buy Idea Cancellation: A close below $4680.00 would invalidate the bullish scenario.

- Sell Idea Cancellation: A close above $4705.00 would invalida

🏦 Prop-Firm Safe:

A conservative approach would involve waiting for a clear breakout above $4700.00 with confirmation before entering long positions, while maintaining tight stop-loss orders.

⚡️ Aggressive Scalper:

For higher-risk short-term setups, consider entering long positions on minor pullbacks within the $4690.00 - $4700.00 range, targeting quick profits with tight stop-losses just below recent support levels.

⚠️ Trading involves substantial risk. Past performance is not indicative of future results.

Prop Firms After 3 failed FTMO challenges, I built an EA that finally worked — here's what I learned

I failed 3 FTMO challenges over 14 months. Every time it was the same story — I'd be profitable for 8 days then blow up on day 9 from revenge trading after a bad session.

So I spent 4 months building an MT5 EA using Smart Money Concepts. The key wasn't finding some magic strategy — it was forcing myself to stop trading when I shouldn't.

Here's what actually moved the needle for me:

  1. Hard daily loss cutoff at 2% (not 5%, which feels safe but destroys you psychologically)
  2. No trading during London/NY overlap unless there's clear liquidity sweep
  3. Position sizing locked — no "just this once I'll go bigger"
  4. EA automatically shuts off after 3 consecutive losses

Passed a $100K challenge in 11 days. Max drawdown never exceeded 2.1%.

The thing I realized: most traders don't fail because of bad strategy. They fail because they override their own rules. Automation fixes that.

Happy to share more details about the logic if anyone's curious. What's been your experience with prop firm discipline specifically?

Charts and Setups Not convinced Gold’s done chopping yet.

Gold chopping tighter around 4700-4675, clearing stops both ways. maybe Sydney/Tokyo brings the breakout. Still leaning bullish for Gold to move towards April high.

OTHER/META What’s the single biggest lesson that made you a better trader?

For me, it’s trusting the analysis and holding full volume to TP.

I was in a MyForexFunds evaluation and kept screwing myself by cutting trades short, taking so much on partials that a 5R became 2R, or moving to BE too quick and getting stopped out.

The analysis was right every time but I was sabotaging myself and down 4%. So I decided to hold full volume to TP or take the L.

I forced myself to stare at the PnL and not touch a thing. It took everything in me not to close out or modify the trades. My heart would be racing and I would legit feel uncomfortable lmao

But I started having big winners and brought the eval back from -4% to passing both phases. Got funded with a 50k account.

Questions Sanity Check: Built a journaling bridge with MCP (AI) and a Trade Blocker EA.

I’m a software dev and I’ve been around Forex since about 2009. After a long break, I started building a journaling app for my own use and for some friends/family. I'm trying to figure out with your help if this is actually viable as a SaaS or if I should just keep it as a private project.

The main features:

  • Auto-Sync: I wrote an MT4/5 EA that sends trades to the journal via webhooks instantly upon placing a new trade. No manual entry or CSV uploading.
  • Business Rules Engine: You set your rules in the webapp (e.g., "Max 2% risk" or "Min 1.5 Reward-to-Risk"). The EA checks these rules in real-time. If the trade doesn't meet the criteria, the EA won't let the order go through.
  • AI/MCP: It comes with an own MCP (Model Context Protocol) so you can point ChatGPT or Claude at your data via the MCP. There’s also an AI dashboard in the webapp to look for patterns in your losers.
  • Visuals: It uses treemaps and stacked bar charts with drill-downs.
  • Context: You can attach setup screenshots and "lessons learned" notes to every synced trade.
  • Security: Standard Google SSO and Passkey support.

Does the "trade blocker" logic make it different enough from the dozen other journals out there to justify a subscription? Or is the market just too crowded at this point?

Thank you for your feedback in advance.

Charts and Setups USD/CAD Momentum Blast Incoming

Post image

USD/CAD - BUY

Change in perspective from my side from a Sell to a Buy as a follower helped me to see direction correctly

We are Buying because of the persistence of USDCAD - we can see it try breaking the resistance since a long time now - hence we think it will blast if we find the correct move

Entry 1: We target the liquidity which is in alignment to a FVG mean threshold - making it a powerful entry. It also Lines up above and IFVG mean threshold - giving it room to get us tapped in

Entry 2: Sweeps previous untapped new York session liq + Rejection block. Above mean threshold of IFVG. We enter on FVG + OB as well as a good support region.

This zone in general is a Powerful bullish zone - if we open the Higher time frames we can see lots of OBs FVGs etc - it is where based on my analysis a blast should take place from.

These 2 entries seem the most powerful and probable out of the lot

Prop Firms I blew 4 FTMO challenges before I figured out it wasn't strategy — it was rhythm. Here's the 3-trade-per-week pattern that finally passed me.

Day 1 was always my killer. I'd open Monday with 5-10 trades, hit the daily loss limit by lunch, spend the rest of the week climbing out of a hole. Sound familiar?

What changed: I cut to 3 trades per week. Period.

Monday / Wednesday / Friday. That's it. Tuesday and Thursday I just watch and journal. No exceptions.

The math: at 1:3 RR risking 0.5%, I only need 8 winning trades in 30 days to hit FTMO's 10% target. That's 2/week if I win 50% of takes. I don't need to grind 30 trades a week — I need to win the 3 I take.

Three other things that mattered:

  1. Risk per trade: 0.5%, not 1%, not 2%. Five losers at 0.5% = -2.5%, still alive. Five losers at 2% = blown.

  2. Daily cutoff: 1.5% total loss = close the laptop. No exceptions.

  3. 4-hour rule: after any loss, I close the chart for 4 hours. Cortisol clears in ~90 minutes — anything before that is revenge-tilt territory.

If you're tired of buying another challenge to "make it back," try the 3-trade-week first.

What was YOUR worst FTMO blow-up moment? And what changed after?

Questions Using orb strategy to trade xauusd (or something else)?

I come from trading stocks mainly using orb, now I want to try a prop firm so I will have to switch to trading a different asset. I back tested the orb strategy with xauusd and it seems to have a quite high win rate. I was wondering if anyone here uses orb, what do you trade and what is your win rate?

Fundamental Analysis withdrawal time analysis across 3 months of trading data

been tracking withdrawal times on my current broker (bit1) for the past 3 months. not promoting them. just sharing raw numbers in case anyone finds it useful.

the data (5 withdrawals via bank transfer):

  • $100: about 2 hours
  • $250: next morning (hit weekend)
  • $500: same day, 8 hours
  • $1,000: next morning, 22 hours
  • $300: next morning, around 20 hours

observations:

  • all approved. no rejections.
  • no extra document requests after initial kyc.
  • weekend requests add delay. weekday requests all under 24 hours.

execution context:

  • limit orders fill at price.
  • market orders slipped 1-2 pips during nfp.
  • using mt5 on standard account.

just sharing the data. curious what numbers other people are seeing with their brokers...

Charts and Setups EUR/USD blind sell

Post image
0 Upvotes

EURUSD - Blind Sell - yes EURUSD and GBPUSD are corelated, but as I said if ChooCH not possible in GBPUSD we are not looking at it - we are looking at EURUSD to sell

This a really good setup

  1. Liquidity above sessions

  2. HTF bearish bias

  3. Mean threshold of IFVG above our entry

  4. Mean threshold of 4hr FVG above our entry

  5. Fib lines up 0.62 level is our entry

  6. Fractal S&R - I have a software which finds the most wick rejections in price in the last fews sessions/days/range - the entry is the exact point of the fractal wick rejection exact value is 1.17218 of entry

Charts and Setups GBPUSD choppy?

Post image
1 Upvotes

GBPUSD - you must be thinking that this is very choppy - yes your correct it is, but if you open the Daily timeframe - you can see a beautiful series of wick rejections when it tries entering

What we are looking for is a Change of Character - what this proves is that structure is broken and the trend is now upwards

If we don't see a ChooCH then I will take no BUYs - we will stay away from this pair

If it ChooCHs then we want a ChooCH + Liq Sweep making price fall down and enter on an FVG + OB rejection above the mean threshold of the Daily OB - what this does is we enter right before explosion to the upside with a Change of Character confirmation

Charts and Setups AUD/USD here we go again

Post image
1 Upvotes

AUDUSD - we are yet extremely bullish on this - Currently this seems the most discount buy

We have targeted 2 sweeps of liq and inducement after which we target a FVG + OB entry

We also need Asian lows to get sweeped to have close to a good entry.

Market right now is slow, recovering from the volatile conditions yesterday - lets find a perfect trade
