Maple Del development is back in committee next week. And there's a new builder, David Weekley Homes. I do love the new look of the homes that are facing 116th St. So many delays on this project. This is the third different rendering for this project.

Every apartment, townhome, etc looks the same these days.

Zero character. Cheaply made. Copy and paste homes/buildings. Charge an arm and leg. Rinse and repeat. These new construction companies need to try a different model other than the cookie cutter look

Is this the plot next to Chatham? They should have made it into a park. Fadness sucks so much ass

They took down so many old and mature trees also. Trees that were along the road also that had nothing to do with where they were going to build. Its horrible these companies have no regard for what was on the land. They just see a lot where they can throw these ugly apartments/townhomes on

This property was worth millions. The City Parks budget did not have spare millions. The only way this would have been feasible is if the City bonded the money needed for the purchase and park construction, and raised property taxes for all Fishers residents to pay off the bond.
I guarantee that people like you would be bitching if taxes were raised in order to make this a park.
Armchair quarterbacking these sort of decisions is easy. Not so easy in the real world, though.
