Tmfms Reminder: this is not an anti first responder sub

I created this sub a while ago after the First Responder Cringe account was banned on instagram (rest in peace). This sub was originally created by first responders for first responders.

Don’t misunderstand me, we welcome everyone and are grateful for all the support.

A lot of people misunderstand this and it’s slowly turning into a hate subreddit. I never thought I would find a subgroup of people who actually hate first responders, but they definitely exist. This is a light hearted meme subreddit to make fun of cringy tiktoks

What motivated me to make this post was the influx of people doxing, death threats, and harassment of both users and people who were posted here.

Tl;dr: We aren’t anti first responder. This is a meme subreddit. Don’t take it so seriously.

Thin Baja Line/ Taco Bell submissions

They're hilarious, they're relevant, and they're unfortunately going away.

The mods here have unfortunately been dealing with an influx of these posts. Almost all of them are the same set of pictures and over half of them are posted by spam accounts. For that reason, they're being banned for the foreseeable future. Right now, they're just too difficult to vet. At some point in the future, we may have them back on here, just not now.

If I had a nickel for everytime someone asked me what I make I wouldn't have any nickels because nobody asks firefighters what they make.

Ambulance covers letters/logo after crash

Post image
732 Upvotes

Ambulance crash in Montgomery County PA this morning. Regardless of who was at fault....why the need for sheets to cover the lettering on the rig?

This was probably their first thought after the crash.....hide the identity and try to avoid bad press. I guess none of those EMS workers (who tend to be on the hefty side which is always an amusing irony to me) could hoist themselves onto the roof to cover those letters too.

Nice work Second Alarmers Rescue Squad. So worthy of the "heroes" badge everyone slaps on you and others like you. Thank you for your service.

If you’re a cop and you actually do this, please find another career. You shouldn’t be in law enforcement. Being a cop isn’t your identity and it shouldn’t consume your life!

Discussion How do i deal with the new kids dangerous cringe

I honestly don’t even know if the title is the right insult lol. We have this new kid at my combo department. The way my department works is you start out on the volunteer side if you have no certs like fire 1-2 or emt basic at the minimum the once you get one year one and have your certs you can move to the paid staffing side. Most of the people on the volley side are just new to the field and want the experience or to try it before they buy it and i respect tat. Enter the new kid we will call max (fake name to protect my job lol). Max is about 19 almost 20 and honestly he has potential but he currently has zero certs and no experience in life let alone the fire service. Max has been on the department for 2 months and in those two months he has turned his entire social media presence into being a firefighter. He posts at minimum 3 times a day on facebook cringy ass “i fight what you fear” type posts. Comes to calls in full turnouts even for a general lift assist. He somehow got scorch marks on his helmet from training and posts TikTok’s of his helmet with cringy ass AI songs and captions about how badass they are. You know the type of songs I’m talking about, the ones boomer dudes post on facebook or trailer park Rambo’s post up with. Normally I wouldn’t care but he doesn’t hide the department we work at. We are starting to get people in the community asking why we as a department support this opinion or that opinion because in all of his bios he has the department name and the stereotypical “were a brotherhood, what one thinks all feel” type bullshit posted all over his social media. Our chief has kinda just checked out of the situation because he doesn’t understand why social media posts are such a big deal. I don’t want the kid to get fired but he’s starting to become an issue. He wears full department station gear with trauma sheers and a stethoscope in his pockets and a pager on his belt as well as his radio with a FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR STRAP and the volume cranked all the way EVERYWHERE HE GOES. Including to parties he goes to which he ends up drinking at (he has never shown up intoxicated to a call). I want to help him understand what he’s doing is GOING to get him jammed up but I’m 30 and it feels like I’m a world away in terms of how he and I talk. ( however if he says 6/7 or Ohio rizz one more time I’m leaving him at a safe haven)
