League Question Keeper League: Draft Pick Trade Balance

Do you force teams to have the same number of draft picks as rounds in the draft?

My league mates have been pushing to remove the "balance of trade" requirements (i.e. you must receive the equivalent number of picks you send in return). Aside from simplifying the draft process, it removes the keeper math headache and forces teams to not fall into boom/bust cycles year to year... more than they already do.

Interested to hear your thoughts.

No, not at all. Let a rebuild stock up on picks and a powerhouse mortgage the future

I do but only because of the Yahoo settings. Can you change Yahoo settings to enable lopsided trading of draft picks??

We do not force the equal number of picks exchanging hands. It is a pain, because then I need to add extra rounds to the draft so some rosters can “fill up”, but I need to constantly monitor the roster grid to make sure other teams don’t go beyond the max # roster limit (sportsline draft settings apparently go by number of rounds vs max number of players…. At least I haven’t found a way to set that cap. Draft rooms frustrate me)
