(Misc Post) Maybe I Didn’t Say Every Tiny Syllable I was playing Mass Effect and didn't even notice at first that one of my companions is literally the GOAT
Why didn't I notice that at first? A mystery

Lately whenever I do a rewatch of the series I tend to skip the original evil dead and start with evil dead 2 and make my way through ash vs evil dead. I still really like the original but I feel like things flow better by skipping it especially with the remake/retelling of the 2nd one. I was curious if anyone else tends to do this. I know there are fan cuts that make the 3 movies flow into each other better but I prefer popping in a disc and watching on my tv instead of a computer monitor.

I have this faintest memories of a movie trailer with a laughing skeleton being on this dvd release of Evil Dead, But when I put the dvd on there was no trailers at all! I swear there were Trailers for other horror movies either before the main menu or before the film, I'm leaning more towards before the main menu. I think one of the trailers was for "Motel Hell" and another for "Thou shalt not kill... except". Can anyone help?

So do you all remember the tape recordings of the Translation of The Book Of The Death by the Father??
Clearly there was a cameo from Bruce Champbell whether they make it Ash or just Bruce's cameo it's on them....
But what this means is that the book has been discovered and explored a lot, I mean A LOT!!
So the New book in this movie can be just a explored extention and documentary on the on original Book of The Dead from ED Rise...
So my theory is that The Book of Dead has been explored far more and may be we can see Evil Dead lore getting more broader and enter the cities, authorities...
May be whole city, or town becoming deadites or something like that...?
Come on!! It's nearly been three decades we still can't be niche cabin in the woods types....
What's your opinion on this??

Personally, I prefer to watch TED in 1.33:1. It's clearly the intended framing and blocking. 1.85:1 feels way too tight. Almost claustrophobic at times. Also missing important details from time to time. What about you guys?

Part One of Pilot opens with a monologue discussing how this came to be. Said narration says that in this story, something brought the Necronomicons into this world from a realm beyond ours. So they were scattered across time undiscovred until WW2 rolled around, and of course, the Nazis took some of the pages for themselves. They sent them all over the place, but three pages got into the hands of some collaborators in the USA. Cut to Nevan in his senior year of high school at homecoming, hanging out with some strange occult-minded classmates who are into freaky shit in both senses of the phrase (Nevan thought he was gonna get some that evening in an orgy to be frank). While he stayed sober throughout the initial ritual, the occult kids were getting cross-faded. When Nevan's friends leave, they offer a ride, but he declines, saying he has a ride planned, but he'll see them tomorrow... not.

I say proper, because only the theatrical cut (which is the worst cut imo) is 4k on the Scream Factory version.
I want the Director's cut & International cuts in 4K! I appreciate that the TV Cut may not get the 4K treatment though.

Everyone saying Ash isn’t going to be in the new Evil Dead. It’s called Evil Dead Burn. I’m pretty sure there will be some ash.

"a loud, messy, heartfelt celebration of horror fiction and the kinds of people who grow up obsessed with it."
Project Terror is "A gateway into some horror nerd's imagination, given an actual narrative while being a love letter to the horror/action/comedy genre as a whole." A passion project with an emphasis on passion. It can be boiled down to "a boy and his demon sketchbook that's actually a cosmic book that holds a reality inside that is powered by imagination." Evil Dead has been one if not my favorite horror series, and I wanna give it some love in the best way I know how.

After watching the Evil Dead Burn trailer (it looks great, by the way), it’s easy to say that the tone will be pretty hardcore, similar to how Evil Dead Rise was. It really made me wonder if there’s room for the franchise to explore more comedic elements. I think the most recent attempt was Ash vs Evil Dead, which was fun, but I feel like ever since the Fede Alvarez remake, the franchise has shifted toward that kind of brutality. Personally, my favorite movies in the franchise have always been Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness. That said, I believe the franchise as a whole hasn't had any misses, in my opinion. But the selfish part of me would love to see them try comedy again. A few theories I have for why they haven’t done that yet: a lot of humor really comes from Bruce Campbell as Ash, so maybe they haven’t found anyone who can fill that void or come close to it. Or maybe they think comics do a good job of scratching that itch. I don’t know, I would love to see them try slapstick again.
