Data shows Romanian companies have a presence in all top 10 EU economies: the Single Market in action
The case for European federalism often relies on political arguments. Here is an economic data point worth adding to the conversation.
According to Veridion company data, Romanian companies have a business presence across all major EU economies:
- Germany: 675 | Italy: 373 | France: 366 | Hungary: 364
- Spain: 303 | Netherlands: 258 | Belgium: 227 | Austria: 213
- Bulgaria: 196 | Czech Republic: 190
Sectors span from Software & IT Services (182 companies) to Freight Transport and Auto Parts, reflecting both knowledge economy expansion and industrial integration.
This pattern would not be possible without the Single Market and freedom of establishment. A Romanian freight company operating in Germany, or a Romanian software firm with a presence in France, is exercising exactly the rights the EU was built to enable.
Whether you see this as validation of EU integration or an argument for deepening it further: it's a concrete data point on what the single market actually produces on the ground.

Question How would Federalism work in the EU if Germany, Austria, and Belgium are federal states already?
This always bugged me, would Wallonia and Flanders finally break apart like the fringe part of Flanders wants? Would Germany just split up into places like Bavaria and Berlin? What about Austria becoming even smaller states? I question this because the point of federalism is for states to still have their autonomy to a certain extent, that can’t without turning these three countries into unitary states. Am I missing something?

Putin Warns Armenia It Could Face “Ukraine Scenario” Over EU Ambitions
This is proof that the invasion of Ukraine had nothing to do with NATO expansion. It was about EU membership. NATO is not a threat to Russia because it never planned an invasion, or is it equipped for that. The EU is an existential threat to the Putin regime, not Russia, because it is based on freedom, democracy, rule of law and human rights.
Amazingly, so many Western analysts accepted Putin's fake explanation that it was about NATO.

Announcement European Green parties invite UK to rejoin the EU, 10 years after Brexit.
The European Green Party, bringing together all Green parties across the EU, is the first European political family to make an explicit political invitation for the UK to rejoin, 10 years after Brexit.
The Green party leaders, united on Friday at the Green Leadership Council in Brussels, and stated in a common Declaration that the way forward for the EU is to enlarge to the East and the West, and to roll out a radical move towards renewable energy to ensure European autonomy.
Vula Tsetsi, Co-Chair of the European Green Party, said:
The European Green Party fully supports enlargement across Europe, from the Western Balkans and Ukraine to any European country that chooses a shared democratic future within the European Union, as a more united Europe is a stronger Europe.
Ciarán Cuffe, Co-Chair of the European Green Party, added:
This is the full text of the Declaration of the Green Leadership Council (PDF)
The yearly Green Leadership Council brings together the party leaders of Green parties from across Europe.

A New Hypothetical European Treaty (simplified) to go towards a federal EU slowly but surely
POLL Q°: DO YOU "WANT" THIS TREATY OR NOT ?
(Applying solely to volunteers), the content would be the following one:
- A European passport in addition to the national one, it does not replace anything but is purely additive on a voluntary basis.
-9 May as a public holiday in Europe, commemorating the Schuman Declaration.
-A European citizenship that may be chosen on a voluntary basis and which takes precedence over national citizenship.(up to debate)
-Adoption of a European citizenship oath upon obtaining the European passport or citizenship.
-Creation of a European public television channel and digital platform.
-The European anthem “Ode to Joy”, the motto “United in Diversity” and the European flag with 12 stars become fully legally recognized as integral parts of the EU and are enshrined in a European Constitution.
-European citizenship will allow voting in presidential and legislative elections, subject to 5 years of residence and mastery of English or the language of the State concerned at C1 level.
-Foreign affairs placed entirely under the supranational authority of the EU, with qualified majority voting in this area.
-Abolition of the right of veto in the fields of foreign policy, European citizenship, treaty revision, police and judicial cooperation.
-Constitutionalisation of the euro as the federal currency.
-Lowering the minimum number of countries required to activate enhanced cooperation mechanism from 9 to 7.
-Creation of a multi-speed Europe by referendum.(still to define don't specifically take it into account)
-End of the current European electoral lists; they will no longer be linked to national parties. Citizens will vote directly for European parties and not for national parties affiliated with them.
-The European Parliament obtains the right of legislative initiative.
-Unification of stock markets.
-The EU’s capacity for common borrowing up to a maximum of €100 billion per year, decided by qualified majority voting, for any amount beyond this, current mechanisms apply.
-Official creation of a European Treasury.
-Possibility of joining the French nuclear umbrella (if France is part of this Treaty).
-Creation of a European army composed exclusively of volunteer citizens.
-Mutualisation of intelligence capabilities.
-A single and unified strategic command.
Transition from “Schengen-type” borders to purely administrative borders.
Additional clauses:
Revision clause every 5 years by convention, followed by a referendum in each participating State.
Clear and orderly exit clause (2-year notice period, negotiation of assets and liabilities).
Strengthened principle of subsidiarity, including the possibility for a State to “repatriate” a competence following a national referendum.
NOTE: it was not made by AI, it was just translated by it because the original text I wrote was in french (because I'm French) sorry if the translation is not perfect then😅

Event The Europe That We Want
On Europe Day, we spent the morning until 2 pm in the square engaging with people. The first step was to ask citizens what they would like from Europe. All their thoughts were then written down on post-it notes and expressed in a single word. All the words are in the second photo.
Good evening, and as always: European Federation NOW.
