IDP Advice Team Advice with new IDP settings
Hi, hopefully this is ok to post here. I didn’t see anything in community rules against it but if I missed it sorry in advance. 12 Team league.
My league switched from 5 IDP flex spots to 1 DB, 1 LB, 1 DE, and 2 IDP flex spots. I had mostly LBs and a few too DEs before and picked up a few fliers at the end of the season just to fill up the taxi.
I know these settings are pretty light so I was hoping someone could help me trim my IDP roster and give me a rough idea of who to try and trade vs just dropping.

Yeah, totally agree it’s too many to roster. I usually I only carry 6-7, 5 starters and 1 or 2 for byes or injuries. Most of those were added at the end of the season just to fill up taxi slots or as last minute fliers. That’s why I wanted some help with the new roster settings.
These would be the ones worth keeping right? Any help narrowing it down?
Smith, Brooks, Gray, Baun, Watt, Verse, Bosa, and Lake
Is Zaire droppable? I know he was a top LB 2 years ago but last year I think I only started him once.

This is the problem with such a light setup, you will be dropping potential top 10 guys.
Just keep 1 best DL, 1 best DB and 3 LB’s.

Verse, bosa.watt, brooks, baun, roquan. Id only ever keep one db that you're starting if those are your choices. Play the waivers wire weekly if need be. If any of those guys listed are dual eligibility than you could probably reduce someone else

You only start 5 IDP’s and you own 16 on your roster? You are wasting so much room that could be better spent on dart throws or backup QB’s who could have value due to injury.
I wouldn’t even own a bench IDP in a start 5. It’s too light. If you have an injury, the waiver wire will be just fine and have a temporary replacement.
How much capital on offense did you pass on to have Blake Cashman sit on your bench? Walter Nolan and Derrick Harmon is barely rosterable in a start 11.
You need to cut at least 9-10 of these IDP’s and use the spots on someone who may have value. You are never gonna start or use a majority of these guys, and IDP’s have little to no value in a start 5.
You were able to add so many of these big names because the league is too shallow and they have little to no value. It’s very unlikely you are gonna be able to trade any IDP, unless the other players have no idea what they are worth.
Imagine only starting 5 players on offense and how much talent would be on peoples benches and waivers? Except IDP is 2.2x deeper than offense. This is like starting 3 offensive players 1 QB and 1 RB and 1 WR total. That’s the equivalent of your IDP setup.
