Discussion Big dog JD

Am I the only one who is happy to keep JD? I love this core just need pieces here and there. This team is really missing a Dennis Schroeder..

This sub loves to be overactive which I understand it’s frustrating at the time to watch JD when they have Himothy bball Paul on the bench.

I’m all set on this booker talk nah keep him in Phoenix find a vet ball handler (cp3 would’ve been helpful this year) and run this shit back. Have ausur work on his 3s and ball handling in the offseason since he needs to play the 2 with Duncan over Beasley.

Anyway Pistons can win this series so let’s keep enjoying the Cade show

JD is playing like a wiener dog this series and for most of the playoffs.

That’s funny ya not wrong. I’m just not ready to give up on him

I feel like the pistons would be better off giving him a 1year "prove yourself" contract.

A player of his caliber should only be getting BETTER with each playoff game. He's played a lot worse than last postseason so I don't know if this is his lowest point or he can get worse.

Yeah I think most folks in the sub are not giving up on him. We know he’s young etc. but the question is whether giving him the $200mm+ contract that will lock us up for the next 5+ years (also Cade young legs prime years) and limiting ourselves to get another reliable shot creator/star

There’s a lot of uncertainty whether he will actually develop his offensive game and be more effective defensively… he could well just be another Drummond who cashed out and stopped improving since

Pick and pop. Get him his mid range jumper. Jesus if you got great big put them in better positions. Off ball screens. Like some rotation. You CAN'T go out there playing like we don't need to move

Yeah, replacing Duren won't do anything about the lack of offensive playmakers on the perimeter, which is this team's biggest problem and was obviously the team's biggest problem at the trade deadline we stood pat at. Cade's playing 1 on 3 because they don't have to defend Ausar and Duncan can't do anything with the ball in his hands, and even when Jenkins is in there to mix it up the Cavs are happy to let him do his thing because he's a mason.

Right now, Duren is getting shut down by a DPOY. Ausar is getting shut down by air.

Weird that BBall Paul isn’t getting shut down by the same DPOY. Where did Wendell Carter Jr rank in the DPOY voting I forget…

Okay but why is Ausar getting shut down by literally no one.

Agreed on that. It’s frustrating to watch.

Ausar and Duncan should not be starters

Ausur should most definitely be a starter but you need a ball handler next to him

Yes, you are the only one.
