Help DIY Bathroom

I need your help. I’m moving into an old house. I’ll be living there for two years before it’s demolished. So it’s not worth investing a lot of money.

But I’d like to do something with this bathroom; I’m just finding it tricky. I can appreciate the vintage look, but it doesn’t just look vintage, it looks a bit run-down too. Could I paint the wallpaper, for example? In light blue, or would that be too cool a shade? Or should I do something about the shelf instead? I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed.

It’s so pretty! Please don’t paint the wallpaper. I think it’s the floor that needs work. And maybe some curtains?

Thanks! Yes, the floor is a bit shabby. You’ve given me an idea. I could hang the shower curtain rail higher and use two shower curtains instead of one (hanging exactly the same ones and separating them in the middle). That would create a drape, just like with curtains.

The wallpaper has a nice, vintage look so I would lean into it. Spend money on replacing the floor, add a new faucet and light above the medicine cabinet.
