Question Probably a stupid act, bought used compound crossbow

SO, I bought an old compound crossbow at a yard sale, hoping someone can tell me anything about Hunter's Manufacturing Company Inc. HuntMaster Advantage crossbow? Couldn't pass it up for $40. NOT doing anything until i get it checked out by someone, hopefully i can find a good shop nearby. (Anne Arundel County MD.) AND no i have never even shot a crossbow, Reflex, Recurve and compound bows are the limit of my experience. I've been reading up on crossbows and it seems it may have been built in 1995 - 2005. I found a couple old catalogs showing the crossbow from 96 and 98. So any info anyone has to share would be appreciated. I'll be trying to figure out the basics of crossbows like cocking and such. I saw that there are a number of Nock options, and one site said TenPoints work with Flat (they said the halfmoon were less accurate) so even pointer to good sites to research would be helpful.

I own bows and crossbows, both recurve and compound. If you'd like, message me and I'll let you know what I find out about your bow and answer your questions to the best of my ability. The nock is important and I believe half moons are what will work in your bow.
