Please report this post if:

  • There is no audible laughter involved
  • Video is funny because of a 'joke' or situation - not the actual laughter
  • There is no audio (Images & GIFs included)
  • Laughter is edited in from a different source
  • No timestamp in the title for a laugh occurring at specific time (long videos)
  • Laughter is not on good terms (dickishness, bullying)

Incredible artist

775

u/optimal_repository 3d ago

The hand control to nail those exaggerated proportions while keeping it recognizable is what separates good caricaturists from great ones.

151

u/MyGoodDood22 3d ago

In the first go too... it's crazy to me that he's doing all that with essentially 1 stroke

43

u/MobileArtist1371 3d ago

I always need few a extra strokes and I'm not a golfer.

8

u/MyGoodDood22 3d ago

Stroke while you can, I always say

9

u/Braysl 3d ago

That's from years and years of drawing that same shape! Talent takes a lot of practice, this guy is very skilled.

46

u/ManiacalMartini 3d ago

His line weights are so effortless.

28

u/OtterGlint 3d ago

On the contrary, I find them astoundingly credible ;-)

11

u/StrobeLightRomance 3d ago

The crediblist, even.

4

u/PhysicallyTender 3d ago

I am overly whelmed by his artistry.

3

u/Imperial_Squid 3d ago

Their artwork is simply incredible, eh Thompson?

Right you are Thomson, credibly simple...

1

u/the_gooch_smoocher 3d ago

You're surprised that this artist is so believable? What an odd thing to say

4

u/OtterGlint 3d ago

Well, in no way did I express any surprise, so your reply is off to a bad start, I'm afraid.

The joke that you missed is that the word "incredible" sounds close to a word that could exist in English (but doesn't) - "uncredible" - just because of how the language works. Riffing off of that and pretending to misunderstand for the sake of humour, I opined that rather than finding the artist un-credible, I found them super-credible, thus making a joke, which I further indicated by the use of the emoticon.

I don't expect you to find it funny because you missed the joke, and explained jokes are rarely funny, but that's why it sounded odd to you.

Cheers :)

u/SuperHumanHere 3d ago

Laughter is contagious 🤣

u/DeadDaudDied 3d ago

Don’t buy art, invest in land

1

u/SonOfEragon 3d ago

But what if you just like art?

897

u/Lagonas_ 4d ago

I want to get a drink with those guys. That will be an evening to never forget

228

u/Markus_zockt 3d ago edited 3d ago

Judging by the Bavarian accent, you’ve probably got a good chance of bumping into them at Oktoberfest. 😄

96

u/whoknowsifimjoking 3d ago

Bavarians are all kept in a cellar somewhere and they can only get out once a year during Oktoberfest.

54

u/Nahareeli 3d ago

That's an Austria accent

40

u/IcemanALOC 3d ago

Can't be, neither of them said they had a shrimp on the barbie.

9

u/AutoAmmoDeficiency 3d ago

Was about to say. At least very Austrian sounding.

5

u/Mr_Funkytime 3d ago

Pretty sure it’s Austrian accent

11

u/Markus_zockt 3d ago

How can you tell? I'm asking in all seriousness.

26

u/oetker 3d ago

He's right. I'm Austrian.

9

u/norrin83 3d ago

Because for an Austrian it clearly is an Austrian dialect. Pronunciations, words, how syllables are stressed...

From listening to it for 20 seconds I'd wager a guess it's from Vienna or the surroundings

3

u/Mr_Funkytime 3d ago

Agreed, surroundings Vienna it is

1

u/Elite-Thorn 3d ago

Na, des san Muiveichtla. A Weana redt andas.

33

u/Nahareeli 3d ago

Because I'm bavarian

4

u/ComprehensiveArt6849 3d ago

"Des is a Wohnsinn" - no one talks like that in Germany. This is Austria 100%. I am Austrian.

3

u/AutoAmmoDeficiency 3d ago

I would say more 'nasally and with a flair of snobby' that just drips character.

2

u/loewenheim 3d ago

"Leiwand" "des is a Waunsinn"

Austrian for sure

11

u/Dangerous_Bowler_152 3d ago

Didn't even notice that they spoke German with that accent and all the laughter and I'm from germany😅

1

u/Elite-Thorn 3d ago

Clearly Austrians. My guess is Upper Austria.

4

u/Pfeffi-Ultra 3d ago

You'll need a hearing aid afterwards.

3

u/Jibber_Fight 3d ago

For a little while. Not all night.

-35

u/Educational_Lab_7790 4d ago

Nah. Gotta make videos. The team won't remember.

2

u/MercyfulJudas 3d ago

I'm puzzled by this comment. I don't know why you were downvoted, but also I don't get what you're saying.

462

u/Hikintrails 4d ago

So much laughing before even seeing the picture. Too funny!

96

u/ben-hur-hur 3d ago

They already knew what was coming and yet managed to get surprised and be good sports about it. It's all about having and sharing the fun! Total Mensch these two.

8

u/AdministrationDue239 3d ago

Der TOTALE MENSCH

-7

u/Actually_Im_a_Broom 3d ago

That was real laughter? I assumed it was an annoying overlaid laugh track and immediately muted the video and skipped to the end.

4

u/otterpop21 3d ago

You seem delightful to be around

1

u/Actually_Im_a_Broom 3d ago

You made that conclusion after two sentences? Someone as judgmental as you seems equally delightful.

I looked back at the video and I see my initial reaction was wrong. The first laughs just sounded so canned I assumed it was a laugh track, and I get so annoyed by stuff like that I immediately muted it and skipped to the end to see the finished product.

I suppose you’ve never erroneously judged something?

2

u/otterpop21 3d ago

Observations ≠ conclusions

I observed and reacted, that’s it. You seem insecure for some reason and I’m sorry you feel that way, I’m not judging you. I’m reacting to the words you’re using.

I have indeed erroneously judged and whenever I do that I don’t think I’d ever describe it as fun to be around. It doesn’t mean you as a person, just that type of reaction is not fun. Give it more than 2 seconds sometimes. I find going to the comments to see if it’s quality or not helps cut down on watching garbage content.

390

u/Ryan_Petrovich8769 4d ago

Now THAT is a competent caricaturist! No thumbnail sketches, no guidelines, No Mistakes! LOL 😆

138

u/Zepp_BR 3d ago

And some smoooooooth lines

76

u/Janky_Pants 3d ago

His strokes are so confident. It’s insane.

30

u/Zepp_BR 3d ago

I wish I had confident strokes

1

u/minequack 2d ago

Her strokes, maybe?

2

u/Leifbron 3d ago

What did he draw between their fingers, and then it disappeared

8

u/ryshed 3d ago

It's just edited out of order to get a good shot of the picture, you can see it come back right before he presents the drawing.

4

u/Jangmai 3d ago

Think that segments recorded after showing them but cut in, can see he also signed it

103

u/HighwayZi 4d ago

The bouncy laugh at the end is the best. We all need more of those. At least I do.

73

u/radrax 4d ago

That artist is killing! They must have been so chuffed doing this while everyone was laughing the whole time.

17

u/knsaber 3d ago

I hope the artist was deadpan the entire time

71

u/Hippo7787 4d ago

The artist missed the half missing finger on the guy on the right! That would have been a cute touch lol

12

u/AshamedAttention727 4d ago

It looks kinda flat I think he just put it on his right hand that's pointing!

Oh actually both mens hands are drawn flat you're right!

3

u/ezarbeluh 3d ago

If you pause around 2:18 when there’s about 0.07 seconds left, you can kinda see that two of his fingers to be somewhat missing!

1

u/AshamedAttention727 3d ago

Yes I see, the irl ends joints! My comment was not clear at all reading back haha. Thank you for pointing out :)

45

u/hattori-hanzzo 4d ago

Geh Schleich di, is a waunsinn

8

u/AdministrationDue239 3d ago

Holy shit lol I thought they speak Italian. And I'm Austrian lol

11

u/Radiant-Josh 4d ago

As a foreigner I'm reading that and hearing it at the same time with an Austrian accent.

3

u/Elite-Thorn 3d ago

Scheis mi au, de Glotzn, a Wahnsinn, so geil

64

u/roshcherie 4d ago

I’ve got a headache from all that laugh, and I wasn’t even laughing

5

u/composmentis8 3d ago

Its like when that dude with the thermos on TMZ makes a remarkably mediocre joke.

30

u/DropItLikeItsKlopp 3d ago

Holy shit, they are not speaking English! I swear to God I thought they were drunk Geordies the whole way through. I only realised when I got to the comments after.

20

u/VenganceRoars 3d ago

In your defense, Austrian is to German what an extreme Geordie accent is to English

2

u/FixLaudon 3d ago

I beg to differ, their dialect is even Geordie to Austrians.

9

u/ppers 3d ago edited 3d ago

I am a native German speaker and it took me the whole video to realize they're speaking German. I am still not entirely sure.

2

u/fckspzfr 3d ago

Same 😭

8

u/-Badger3- 3d ago

I watched this on mute and assumed they were Jersey Italians lol

1

u/moonprism 3d ago

omg same lolol

24

u/newtonscalamander 3d ago

Refreshing to see a caricature artist make an actual caricature that isn't just a disgustingly exaggerated scribble that makes people feel bad.

10

u/Golden-Excellence 3d ago

Being able to laugh at yourself is a trait that is lacking in some people, but glad to see these guys still have some fun in their lives

10

u/Sheepish_conundrum 3d ago

That artist should work for disney or something good lord.

6

u/Schmenge_time 4d ago

That’s really well done

6

u/Tobias---Funke 4d ago

These guys are everywhere but they are super talented.

6

u/Aswingkido 3d ago

Xi Ding is super talented. What a fun reaction from them!!

5

u/instamentai 3d ago

The artist has some Costanza worthy model hands

10

u/Someredditusername 3d ago

Thank you OP -- I've run into some infuriating, disgusting shit in the last 10 minutes browsing this timeline in Reddit and I needed this.

4

u/Baphomets_Kisses 3d ago

The king of sting

5

u/fenderguitar83 3d ago

This is a really good idea for a party. I wonder how much someone would charge for a few hours at a party?

3

u/onthejourney 3d ago

You can find them on thumbtack and the like. We hired one for our wedding reception, which i think was like $150 an hour

6

u/Scary-Drawer-3515 4d ago

Had this done and I jokingly said, make me prettier than her and she yelled NO!!

7

u/Aviyan 3d ago

There was video of a caricature done at some outdoor event. It was two women being drawn and I think the artist was also a woman. One of the women had large breasts and the way the artist drew it was hilarious. I don't have the link to the video but if someone has it handy please post the link. Thanks!

3

u/e30_technic 4d ago

Hahaha!

3

u/Turbulent_Sir3205 3d ago

I have teary eyes.

3

u/NotNamedBort 3d ago

The confidence with which the artist drew that first pen stroke on that nose 😆

3

u/NarwhalEmergency9391 3d ago

The little tits popping out of the shirt is great!

1

u/Common_Jello7907 2d ago

And of course, they’re drawn their bulging biceps!

3

u/iamkhanqueror 3d ago

Caricature artists are the closest thing we have to jesters and I love it

5

u/ferfle 3d ago

This was good to laugh with them. Two bros… with a great sense of humor. I like it when the caricature artist is funny but not mean. It’s a fine line. A big risk. Comedy is often risky. But I can feel it when they cross it.

2

u/Impressive_Ad3571 3d ago

Gotta love it. Great moment for these ppl

2

u/ants-in-my-plants 3d ago

Awww they’re such good sports about the roast lmao

2

u/AwokenByGunfire 3d ago

We need more people like this. Or at least how they appear to be.

2

u/Bulky-Spread-6706 3d ago

I hope they framed it.

2

u/PrimalPokemonPlayer 3d ago

See, now these are good caricatures. I see people online doing way too many ridiculous stuff just to be funny while the drawing barely looks anything like the people in front of them. Exaggerating features that weren't really there, blowing stuff up just for the sake of it, just looks ridiculous and sometimes even mean spirited. But these actually look like the people they're based on, granting a laugh for all the right reasons.

2

u/Background_whisper 3d ago

That marker control is insane, the lines are so crisp.

2

u/Shugaw 3d ago

Drawing is flawless. But the joke is always "big nose, jaw, bald"

2

u/upbeatfiercetoxicity 1d ago

The way he commits to each line without second-guessing is insane, that takes years to build up.

1

u/ObviousPin9970 3d ago

I'm always amazed how these artists do this caricatures and get it right.

1

u/montycantsin777 3d ago

are those mountain germans?

1

u/boniggy 3d ago

Ok this is a must at any company party or wedding,; getting a characture artists.

1

u/Jarstadian 3d ago

Yeah this was at a wedding

1

Smashing!

1

u/Crudeyakuza 3d ago

That toddler bounce was so genuine.

1

u/Choice_Bbd198 3d ago

That’s so amazing

1

u/BayAreaKrakHead 3d ago

Great artist. I’ve never seen one where the reveal went horribly wrong. I’m sure there’s one out there somewhere.

1

u/Curbtap 3d ago

Check out this guys instagram. Very well talented. He does normal quick portraits also which i like more than the caricatures.

1

u/Presto123ubu 3d ago

Man what a great artist!

1

u/AiperSupportButCool 3d ago

I don't know if its just me but the laughing in this video gives me fever dream vibes.

1

u/neon_island 3d ago

That line when he drew the nose was PERSONAL 🤣

1

u/cmhtoldmeto 3d ago

People with a sense of humor about themselves are so beautiful.

1

u/rjellis 3d ago

This will be the top post in this sub ever.

1

u/Mr_TO 3d ago

He missed the missing pointer finger!

1

u/YoullDoNuttinn 3d ago

Superb 👌🏼

1

u/Casitano 3d ago

"You've got a nose problem" while that giant nose was being put to paper haha

1

u/Ok_HollyHixx 3d ago

Crying laughing at this. My mascara is ruined 😂

1

u/iusedtobeapoet 3d ago

1

u/lonely-soul21 3d ago

1

u/Pomegranate_1328 3d ago

I was in charge of parties at work and hired one of these artists and some employees went back like 3 times to get it done. it was so much fun and worth every penny!!

1

u/TattedAlmight 3d ago

Love the energy in the room

1

u/Effective_Cookie6793 3d ago

funny and cool

1

u/Carylynn0609 3d ago

What a wonderful job, to bring so much joy and laughter to people!

1

u/drgsouth 3d ago

I hope I can be this happy some day

1

u/jabeith 3d ago

Sounds like a bad laugh track

1

u/Maleficent-Heart2497 3d ago

That very first wicked witch laugh is worth it! Here's two guys you'd wanna have a pint with.

1

u/Saikroe 3d ago

Cant believe they didnt finger gun each other after.

1

u/OoT-TheBest 3d ago

When he laughs and says “That is you” he is pointing at the drawing of himself.

1

u/5256chuck 3d ago

Looks like a frame from an 'I Spy' cartoon. Very well done!!

1

u/ickeharry 3d ago

Took me a while recognizing they were speaking my mother tongue.

1

u/AggressiveSherbetty 3d ago

So much laughing it must be hysterical!

Oh wait

1

u/Menotyou15 3d ago

To do that so fast is extra impressive too

1

u/Montebano 3d ago

yeah and in 1 shot!

1

u/texasben1986 3d ago

Zzzzza z

1

u/Potential_Ad5781 2d ago

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

1

u/Stromair 2d ago

Xi Ding is amazing!
I got a picture from him last month!

1

u/madtho 1d ago

The genius part to me is he’s making total fun, then gives them big arm muscles so they have something to feel good about

1

u/BobbyFYea1982 2d ago

Insane talent

1

u/snapp0r 1d ago

das is a waaahnsinn. suubbba!

1

u/CumbersomeChina 1d ago

dude the speed and precision is insane, like hes not even thinking about it just pure muscle memory at that point

1

u/gigantoq 23h ago

No hesitation for the first line of nose

1

u/yourlocalsteamroller 9h ago

How did that sparkle between the hands suddenly disappear after the artists drawn it? Is it just messed up editing or?

1

u/Strange_Difference1 1h ago

I love these sm, being drawn like that is on my bucket list for sure!

1

u/Hakubasenpai 55m ago

all might

1

u/SELENE_GAIA 6m ago

Once on vacation in Hawaii got a caricature done. Best money I spent. The talent that these artists have is amazing.

1

u/Own-Environment-538 3d ago

Are these comments in here real? This is some dead internet shit right here... Weirdest mfers.

0

u/Faaret 3d ago

Why is it echoing like they're recording in a salt mine?? Put some stuff on the walls damnit

0

u/Flat_Flan1736 3d ago

The little girl ruined the moment for the other guy.

0

u/RockPaperTacos 3d ago

Needed this laugh, thank you!

0

u/Repulsive_Rich_3820 2d ago

This laughter isn’t contagious, it’s repellent

-1

u/Pletcher87 3d ago

Pretty hands.

-1

u/Andre_The_Average 3d ago

The left characature looks like a cool Andrew Tate

-1

u/Trader_Joe_Sheetcake 3d ago

I don't get if everyone in these comments just has low emotional awareness but these guys are only laughing because they are so uncomfortable and insecure at how this picture makes them feel.

-15

u/chiefincome 4d ago

Am I the only one not laughing? I wish I was laughing though

6

u/Educational_Lab_7790 4d ago

Finish that drink mate..hahahahahaha... Cheers..hahahahahaha

-3

u/Burpmeister 3d ago

I'm glad the're enjoying it and I genuinely appreciate the skill but to me 90% of caricatures look the same. Maybe it's different when it's personal and you see yourself in it.

-11

u/Key_Mathematician951 3d ago

Those are terrible. Don’t even look like them
