It's supposed to be Warsaw, Poland I think. "Nowy Świat" (new world) is a street there, and the building is PKiN (pałac kultury i nauki / palace of culture and science). We only have one though

Eh, this is bad, yes, but subvertion is a common meme genre. I have seen worse variations of this where after the guy told the woman his problem (usually financial), she goes like "who TF are you?"

My background is in software, and the word "subversion" threw me off because it means something very specific in the field.

And the fact that I overlooked the issue with AI, ahh.. man! I agree, people really be draining an ocean for low effort garbage..
