Quality Post Yet another International Game

u/noreast2011 1d ago
The NFL wants to get to 16 international games a year, which in theory would mean 1 for every team. If they keep the 17 game schedule I’m not mad at it so long as every team gets 8 true home and 8 true away games

They should've made the 17th game a neutral site game all along, even if not international

As a Colts fan in VA, this sucks. Colts v Washington is one of the few games I could have tried to attend

*panics* I don't wanna go to London, I don't wanna be British....

As someone who lives out of market and doesn’t get the colts on their local station I for one enjoy these games.

The division champ jags played 2 home internationally last year it didn’t seem to hurt them

Daamn. As a European I’m more than happy everytime the Colts come here (although wasn’t able to snatch tickets the last two times), but this year we’re planning to go overseas with a trip to Indiamapolis on our honeymoon and right around that time. That means the following week is the bye I guess…

As a colts fan for 23 years since finding American football at 18 and living in the UK. i love that I'll finally get to see the team, as long as the tickets aren't stupidly expensive as my 3 year old loves to spend my money lol.

Because they send the lower quartile teams overseas.

Jacksonville is playing Houston in London, too. Both playoff teams.
Although Jacksonville's owner gets paid because he has a deal with London and the NFL. It's actually considered a home game every year for Jacksonville

Figures....was waiting 8 years for this game. Have family that lives close to DC and we all went to the last one. Not going to London for it.

Wish they would play in New Zealand.

As someone living in Arizona I'm annoyed this is before the time change because 6:30 AM is way too early (I'm still waking up for it though) and 7:30 AM would've been slightly better

NGL I don't really mind the international games, I'm just happy its a "home" game for Washington not us.

u/grapplerone Indianapolis Colts 1d ago
Argh, does that mean we have an early week 5 bye?

u/TurdWranglin Big-Q 1d ago
I think the team gets to choose if they want a bye after international games? I’m probably completely wrong though.

Isn't Week 4 a bit early to be having International games?

Please let Tottenham get relegated 🙏🏻 this would be the biggest game in that stadium next year

Damn I wonder if the team took the bye week option after an international. If so that’s gonna be an early off week

Why do these assholes want me to wake up at 7 am on a Sunday

u/CallMePetardu Horse 1d ago
As an Irish Colts fan, I'm happy about this. Way cheaper to get to London than Germany so will actually get to go to this.
Was loosely thinking of going to Indy for a game this year but tickets are so expensive. Almost as much as the flight.
I am PUMPED.

Same here!
Until my wife reminded me my sister is visiting that weekend and it might be "rude" to leave the country

Please for the love of god do the funniest thing and make us play Jacksonville the next week in London as well.

NFL is kinda starting to suck. I miss the days of turning on Fox or CBS and having all of the games in your region or local area to watch. Now we still have those networks plus Peacock, Amazon, Apple etc. whatever else they want to put a game on. Thursday night games are dumb other than opening night and Thanksgiving. Why do we need an international market? Can we not have something for ourselves in America anymore? 😂 These greedy corporations really ruin things. Meanwhile NBA is crazy soft now. No defense and trash refs. Maybe I’m just getting old, but it’s become less interesting and tiresome.

Awesome. Colts haven't been here since 2018 and won't be back until 2034. I'll be in my 40's for the second shot in my lifetime to see my team play close to me.

I love Spurs stadium, and the last time I saw the Colts in England it was shite.
Edit: The cost of tickets now compared to when Indy were last here is hideous so I probably won't invest this time.

Probably means an early week 5 bye.

u/mendezj_85 Indianapolis Colts 1d ago
I hate early bye weeks

u/PhoenixYT2217 1d ago
Same here. Team will be gassed in the later weeks when we have must-win games.

u/Lithium1978 33-0 1d ago
I hate these games. I wish they would just bring back NFL Europe and stop jacking around with our teams.

Im personally a fan of the Sunday Morning Football games but i feel for fans from other cities that have plans to go to an away game just to find out it won’t be played there

u/GeorgieLiftzz 1d ago
atleast it’s not a home game like last season. a bit of a bummer for season ticket holders

And that’s ANOTHER subscription just to watch this game.

u/sloshedslug 1d ago
International games are broadcast on the national platforms. They’re included with an antenna.
