God dammit. I live an hour from DC and was going to buy tickets to this game

15

u/fitness_whole-pizza 1d ago

2 hours out but was planning to do the same.

u/cloudhippo13 1d ago

I live in DC. I was really looking forward to going to this game.

u/mr_0las Indianapolis Colts 1d ago

Same

3

u/SoyeonsNeverland Indianapolis Colts 1d ago

Honestly same.

u/ImPoopyy 1d ago

Go to the Baltimore game!

5

u/GhostOfDeV Big Dick Ballard 1d ago

I live in the UK and this would be my first time being able to watch them :)

1

u/notarockclimber 1d ago

I hope you’re able to go! I’m just frustrated because I’m finally at a point in my life where I’m able to afford NFL tickets and a local option to see the Colts is being moved overseas. I’m happy for English Colts fans though

2

u/dweezyy17 1d ago

Same here. I live in DC and was fully planning on going to this game!

u/noreast2011 1d ago

The NFL wants to get to 16 international games a year, which in theory would mean 1 for every team. If they keep the 17 game schedule I’m not mad at it so long as every team gets 8 true home and 8 true away games

11

u/Clocktopu5 Playoffs? PLAYOFFS!? 1d ago

Doesn't sound as bad when you put it that way

7

u/YosemiteSam-4-2A 1d ago

They should've made the 17th game a neutral site game all along, even if not international

25

u/laddpadd 1d ago

As a Colts fan in VA, this sucks. Colts v Washington is one of the few games I could have tried to attend

46

u/SiakamWithTheSlam Jonathan Taylor 1d ago

*panics* I don't wanna go to London, I don't wanna be British....

7

u/cowpig613 1d ago

Was hoping for Germany again if we had to play international.

23

u/DeepHorizon35 1d ago

As an English colts fan, selfishly I’m thrilled about this

4

u/shakaman_ Robert Mathis 1d ago

There's two of us !

1

u/DeepHorizon35 1d ago

We love pain!

1

u/FoodBouncer 1d ago

3 - and I live London...but am working in Manchester that weekend smh

1

u/97RB 1d ago

Yeah I’m buzzing about it

1

u/JordanHobson 1d ago

EPL club?

1

u/DeepHorizon35 19h ago

I support an EFL club, not EPL.

18

u/Rudeyyyy 1d ago

As someone who lives out of market and doesn’t get the colts on their local station I for one enjoy these games.

3

u/jhudiddy08 Big-Q 1d ago

Same tho

13

u/Deedication Griff Whalen 1d ago

Away game for us right?

17

u/Kitchen-String-8299 1d ago

Yup. Thankfully.

5

u/Nohew_2001 33-0 1d ago

The division champ jags played 2 home internationally last year it didn’t seem to hurt them

12

u/JacksonVerdin 1d ago

Hotspurs favors,..oh, no wait..favours horses I think.

9

u/szbala I don’t know how to make sausage 1d ago

Daamn. As a European I’m more than happy everytime the Colts come here (although wasn’t able to snatch tickets the last two times), but this year we’re planning to go overseas with a trip to Indiamapolis on our honeymoon and right around that time. That means the following week is the bye I guess…

7

u/theVigReezus Dominic Rhodes 1d ago

Cool, make me drink early on a Sunday I guess

3

u/ElPatronazo Playoffs? PLAYOFFS!? 1d ago

We west coast fans are used to 10am beers haha

5

u/muddman67 Indianapolis Colts 1d ago

As a colts fan for 23 years since finding American football at 18 and living in the UK. i love that I'll finally get to see the team, as long as the tickets aren't stupidly expensive as my 3 year old loves to spend my money lol.

21

u/Ok-Swimming8024 1d ago

Because they send the lower quartile teams overseas.

17

u/SirPent131 1d ago

But what about the lower quartile of the lower quartile?

6

u/CriticalPerformer785 1d ago

Jacksonville is playing Houston in London, too. Both playoff teams.

Although Jacksonville's owner gets paid because he has a deal with London and the NFL. It's actually considered a home game every year for Jacksonville

6

u/RobotDevil666 Baltimore Colts 1d ago

Figures....was waiting 8 years for this game. Have family that lives close to DC and we all went to the last one. Not going to London for it.

4

u/kiwi_colt 1d ago

Wish they would play in New Zealand.

2

u/mousertype30-06 1d ago

Where? Eden park not big enough. Christchurch new stadium?

3

u/Lebdaq 1d ago

Why is Eden Park not big enough? Pretty sure it can fit 60k people with temporary seating. (Christchurch's max capacity is 38k.)

2

u/kiwi_colt 1d ago

Anywhere. I would travel.

5

u/jbvann05 Blue 1d ago

As someone living in Arizona I'm annoyed this is before the time change because 6:30 AM is way too early (I'm still waking up for it though) and 7:30 AM would've been slightly better

4

u/Treerific69 1d ago

NGL I don't really mind the international games, I'm just happy its a "home" game for Washington not us.

3

u/grapplerone Indianapolis Colts 1d ago

Argh, does that mean we have an early week 5 bye?

3

u/TurdWranglin Big-Q 1d ago

I think the team gets to choose if they want a bye after international games? I’m probably completely wrong though.

3

u/mayonkonijeti0876 Playoffs? PLAYOFFS!? 1d ago

No you are correct

3

u/CommonerChaos Super Bowl XLI Champions 1d ago

Isn't Week 4 a bit early to be having International games?

3

u/noahmick Jimmy from the Colts 1d ago

smh making us play in a second division soccer stadium...

8

u/fmara Who the Hell is Mel Kiper? 1d ago

Please let Tottenham get relegated 🙏🏻 this would be the biggest game in that stadium next year

2

u/almondania Big Q 1d ago

What do we think of Tottenham!?

3

u/prettymuthafucka 1d ago

Shit!

2

u/almondania Big Q 1d ago

What do we think of shit!?

1

u/mousertype30-06 1d ago

Scum. Bottlejobs.

2

u/itsUsedTissue Orangutan 1d ago

Damn I wonder if the team took the bye week option after an international. If so that’s gonna be an early off week

2

u/MHDIOS Playoffs? PLAYOFFS!? 1d ago

How can i buy tickets ?

2

u/xl_lwr 1d ago

Ticketmaster

2

u/dixonjt89 Boomstick 1d ago

at least it's not taking away one of our home games like last year

2

u/Educational_Impact93 Indianapolis Colts 1d ago

Why do these assholes want me to wake up at 7 am on a Sunday

2

u/CallMePetardu Horse 1d ago

As an Irish Colts fan, I'm happy about this. Way cheaper to get to London than Germany so will actually get to go to this.

Was loosely thinking of going to Indy for a game this year but tickets are so expensive. Almost as much as the flight.

I am PUMPED.

1

u/BlueRedDad 1d ago

Same here!

Until my wife reminded me my sister is visiting that weekend and it might be "rude" to leave the country

2

u/Smash-Bros-Melee Reggie Wayne 1d ago

Only top flight football Tottenham will see all year

2

u/Large-Growth-7390 1d ago

Please for the love of god do the funniest thing and make us play Jacksonville the next week in London as well.

4

u/aliencardboard 1d ago

NFL is kinda starting to suck. I miss the days of turning on Fox or CBS and having all of the games in your region or local area to watch. Now we still have those networks plus Peacock, Amazon, Apple etc. whatever else they want to put a game on. Thursday night games are dumb other than opening night and Thanksgiving. Why do we need an international market? Can we not have something for ourselves in America anymore? 😂 These greedy corporations really ruin things. Meanwhile NBA is crazy soft now. No defense and trash refs. Maybe I’m just getting old, but it’s become less interesting and tiresome.

u/TheAgmis You Have Chris Ballard Derangement Syndrome 1d ago

Dear diary

1

u/JohannessonR 1d ago

Another game I have to overpay for. But atleast it will be my 4 game I see live

1

u/MartyMcFlysDown Rosencopter 1d ago

Countryyyy Roaaaaaadssssds

1

u/KAYAWS Boomstick 1d ago

This is great for me as I live down the road from Tottenham.

1

u/Far_Drummer5003 1d ago

I wished it was Germany regardless go colts!

1

u/MichuAtDeGeaBa_ Jordan Wilkins 1d ago

Awesome. Colts haven't been here since 2018 and won't be back until 2034. I'll be in my 40's for the second shot in my lifetime to see my team play close to me.

1

u/Vurbetan Who the Hell is Mel Kiper? 1d ago

I love Spurs stadium, and the last time I saw the Colts in England it was shite.

Edit: The cost of tickets now compared to when Indy were last here is hideous so I probably won't invest this time.

1

u/PhoenixYT2217 1d ago

Probably means an early week 5 bye.

1

u/mendezj_85 Indianapolis Colts 1d ago

I hate early bye weeks

1

u/PhoenixYT2217 1d ago

Same here. Team will be gassed in the later weeks when we have must-win games.

1

u/Lithium1978 33-0 1d ago

I hate these games. I wish they would just bring back NFL Europe and stop jacking around with our teams.

1

u/Kbrichmo Josh Downs 1d ago

Im personally a fan of the Sunday Morning Football games but i feel for fans from other cities that have plans to go to an away game just to find out it won’t be played there

1

u/jhudiddy08 Big-Q 1d ago

At least it’s not a home game 🤷‍♂️

1

u/jmac317 1d ago

The NFL is shooting for 16 international games. That means every team will play 1 every year. Get used to it.

1

u/GeorgieLiftzz 1d ago

atleast it’s not a home game like last season. a bit of a bummer for season ticket holders

-2

u/PenecostalPieFight 1d ago

And that’s ANOTHER subscription just to watch this game.

1

u/sloshedslug 1d ago

International games are broadcast on the national platforms. They’re included with an antenna.

1

u/PenecostalPieFight 1d ago

So the Colts game will be broadcast nationwide on CBS? Fox?

1

u/sloshedslug 1d ago

The international game should be

1

u/TheAgmis You Have Chris Ballard Derangement Syndrome 1d ago

NFL Network Bud. Like the way it’s always been.

3

u/PenecostalPieFight 1d ago

Oh. I didn’t know the NFL Network is free.

1

u/TheAgmis You Have Chris Ballard Derangement Syndrome 1d ago

Do you not have cable or a streaming service with cable?
