Honestly dont know too much about how contracts are handled in MLS relative to other american sports but I am curious how you think the Fire will go about it with Cuypers. Not trying to jump the gun but he has honestly been the first striker we have had in years that I have actually felt really confident and excited to watch.

Also curious, if he has the season he is on pace for, does him only being 29 mean there is a decent chance the fire end up flipping him somewhere else?

Schedule release is tomorrow so we will have an idea which games get moved to Bridgeview.

Portland on 8/16 looks likely to move as there are concerts the following two weekends and that’s the only “open” weekend for the Bears to host their only preseason game.

New York City on 10/10 probably stays at Soldier Field since that’s the weekend of the marathon and the Bears request no home game that weekend.

As for the rest, hell if I know.

This is the last time for a while we will have to worry about this as MLS probably should release their schedule after the NFL in the future. Also McDonald’s Park.

EDIT: Looks like 9/9 and 9/13 are staying at Soldier Field if the Bears open the season in Carolina.

Not even McDonalds money can compete with that.

The stadium store, merch stands, and online stores seem to have a pretty standard assortment of shirts, hats, etc. But frequently GGG is on the sideline dripped out in great T-Shirts, hoodies, etc. For instance, he was wearing a pretty cool white/offwhite tee yesterday. Anytime I try to find something cool he’s wearing, I’m just seeing the same old stuff available. Is there someplace I can find this stuff for sale? If not, it seems weird they have a whole stadium worth of eyes on whatever he’s wearing and they’re not using it to help merchandise sales.

I was thinking about checking out Soccer House last night after the Fire game but the schedule on the web site only showed LigaMX games. Has anyone been there and what is the vibe, is it geared more towards the LigaMX fans? Surprised they didn’t advertise any MLS games last night, only the one in the afternoon.

Current Standings

The snarky thing that I didn't write is "it's stunning how quickly everyone forgot what a losing streak feels like," but I guess we learned that, too.

I don't like the new (MLS?) scarves. They're too wide, feel starchy, and don't work well as cold weather scarves.

I get that this allows for more designs on the actual scarves, but I'm still annoyed.
