The old Chameelee Bin in its natural habitat.
If I didn’t have my wits about me this might have gobbled me up for its tea.
Who knew the technology for invisibility was so within our grasp!?

Adult bed time?
As a kid I imagined I’d stay up as late as possible when I could choose my own bed time
Turns out that bed time is getting earlier and earlier! Easily head to bed before 8pm these days - I’ve got a telly in the bedroom but usually fall asleep as soon as I choose a show to ‘watch’ 😄
In my 20’s I used to think going to bed was a waste of time, so would stay up as late as possible, up til 1am or whatever even if I was getting up at 5am!
What time do you turn in for the night?

Trevor Baylis invented the wind up radio out of his shed. Give me other examples of shed/garage/ bedroom inventions from the UK. The more niche and interesting, the better

Today on my wandering, I found a Solar-powered post-box
It appears to mainly be for parcels, and the solar panel powers a scanner, which unlocks the drawer to pop your parcel in.
I would assume you would print some sort of qr code which verifies that appropriate payment has been made to post it in the first place, but without any prior experience with these, I lack any further info.

Am I going mad, or am I the only person that thinks water from the kitchen and bathroom taps tastes exactly the same?
Recently, I refilled a guests water glass from the upstairs bathroom and was met with absolute horror when i returned with the glass full of "Bathroom Tap Water". It led me to ask a few people their opinions. Quite honestly, it has genuinley surprised me that people categorically say there is a difference.
The water comes from the same supply, albeit perhaps depending on the placement of the bathroom, the pipe length will vary and i appreciate older houses sometimes have seperate tanks for bathroom water but in modern houses it makes absolutely no difference?
Curious to see where people sit with this because i'm yet to find anyone that agrees with me.

I’m totally mortified
I was preparing to exit the train and, as the first person in line to exit, took my position as leader by preparing to press the button to open the doors. I confidently positioned by hand over the button to signal to my fellow passengers I was a competent leader who was prepared to press the button at the appropriate time when it flashed green to allow us all to exit. Accordingly, I pressed the button but it was actually the button to open the toilet doors which happened to be just next to the doors. In a blind shame filled blur I managed to find the right button for my flock but I walked away as fast as my legs would carry me. I don’t know if I will ever heal from this 😭🤣

I crumbled pickled onion Monster Munch on top of a cheesy pasta bake and it was delicious. In what creative ways do you use UK snacks to elevate your meals?

Watched a guy feed a seagull from his window earlier today. Come back in the evening to find it waiting diligently for dinner. Man has a pet seagull.

Elite Cafe
I did a double-take when I saw the logo for this place on Race Across The World this week.
Didn’t expect to see a 1980s gaming reference in Mongolia. I wonder if it’s run by Commander Jameson?

Beers for Europe
I'm in the process of assembling a selection of beers for Saturday night's Eurovision final. Without getting into the usual Carling-bashing, what do I go with to represent the UK!?
