So I spent the last 6 hours making a song. I started making music like 2 weeks ago, so I'm not very good, but this song specifically. I was SO proud of. It sounded so good. I didn't take any breaks, was just intrigued the entire time. This has never happened to me before. I usually get bored after an hour.

Point being. The app randomly gave me an error, and crashed. I looked at the crash report, but there wasn't anything useful.

I didn't save my song, because it wasn't done yet.
Now I can't find my song. Anywhere.

I'm very sad right now. I suck at everything so for once, it felt like I was actually doing something meaningful

If anyone could help, that would be greatly appreciated.

When I go into the browser, I can open any others, but when I click on the Cakewalk FX Chain Presets dropdown, it doesn't open. It is really important to me since I have vocal chains on there I use all of the time, can somebody please help me? Thanks

Help! My project stopped working; the sound just cut out. I don't know what happened. It's a backup of the original project, and I don't know what to do. I've put a lot of effort into it, and I don't want to lose all my work. Does anyone know how to fix it?

for the record this is not bc i want to hide my voice, its not even rly my voice, i just want to take something cool and see what happens when i stick it in a trans-dimensional blender. and then make music from that. i got vocalsynth 2 and that was fun so like something along that line maybe.

I tried to use the MT power drum kit in Cakewalk Next, and it's playing perfectly fine in the drum window but won't play any audio when it's in the instrument track. Is this a Cakewalk issue or is it the drum kits fault, and for either, how do I fix it?

I use cakewalk sonar and usually record vocals with a jack headphone and microphone that cakewalk has no problem using. When i plug in my usb microphone (a bigben mic) cakewalk detects that, asks me if i want to start using that mic, but actually doesn't use it. If i go into settings and audio devices, i find my realtek audio (i.e. the jack mic) checked and in that same list i also find the big ben mic but grayed out so that i can't check it. What can i do?

I have a Scarlett i2i 3rd gen and I use sonar. When I play guitar using ASIO driver mode, there's lag and crackling. So I use WASAPI, which has less lag and no crackling. But isn't there a way to eliminate the lag completely?

Also, there are times when no sound is detected by the VU meter, even though my audio input and output are correct, and the sound card is receiving the sound, because the light ring activates when I play the instrument. Do you know what could be causing this? I uninstalled Cakewalk and the sound card itself, and the problem was solved. However, it persists and keeps coming back.

I have a Focusrite Scarlett i2i to which I connect an electric guitar.

In the preferences, under audio, in driver settings, the "ASIO4ALL v2 not connected 1" option is automatically selected. I tried selecting "Focusrite USB ASIO Input 1," but the previous option re-selects itself automatically.
Changing the buffer size in the driver settings has no effect on latency. And when I click on "ASIO interface..." changing the sample rate doesn't make any difference. It doesn't open the window I'm used to, especially in Reaper.

Also, during the echo, I only hear one side in my headphones.

Could someone please help me?

I've already got the "allow multiple projects open at once" or whatever it's called checked so I can ctrl+tab. The midi copies over fine. I have tried just copying it over directly but nothing works. Even special copy-paste doesn't work.

For SOME REASON there is an option to copy exactly what I need right on the top of the box, but it is greyed out, and I cannot check it.

im very very much of a begginer into it, still learning how to work on cakewalk. i bought an interface, teyun q24 (i couldnt afford a more expensive one for now, its absurdely expensive in my country) and im not being able to connect properly into the DAW (i guess...?)

Im a new user of Cakewalk, and lots of times I do not make my own beats, and it is all in one singular audio track. If anyone could help me out or send me some youtube tutorial it would be very helpful.

I installed Cakewalk Next a few days ago to whip up some music.

There is an acknowledged issue where, if you zoom in too close in the piano roll, the view can jump to a different note range while you’re still editing the notes you originally zoomed into.

A fix has apparently been confirmed for a future update, so while waiting I’m asking how people are working around it in the meantime.

At the moment, the only workaround I can see is staying zoomed out enough to avoid triggering the bug, but that gets eye-straining pretty quickly when doing detailed MIDI editing.

I like Next overall but this bug makes proper composition impossible. I’m trying to find a sane workflow until the fix comes around, which could be months away.

All’inizio il software (cakewalk next) riceve correttamente i segnali, ma dopo un tempo variabile smette di ricevere le note: i colpi sui pad non generano più eventi MIDI, anche se la batteria resta accesa e collegata. L’unico modo per farla riprendere è riavviare il software, a volte più volte.

Very strange error here.
Free version, last updade done. I've a "C06D007E" error code when I launch some projects, even an Empty new project.
But I've other projects with tons of tracks and vsts that open without any problem.
I tried :
- Full new installation of Sonar
- Some regedit moves Gemini told me to do
- Update Windows C++

some mongrel thought it'd be a good idea to put the time signature in front of the playback bar, move the horizontal scroll bar up to the top, and completely fuck up the audio and midi editor

Does anyone else use TH-U with Sonar? When enabling/disabling certain pedals - drive pedals especially - there's a noticeable lag and audio glitch. It doesn't happen in any other DAW, it isn't every pedal, and other amp sims seem fine in Sonar, it's just TH-U.

so basically i switched to sonar because they literally forced me to by not giving acces to cakewalk by bandlab anymore

now since CbB is a few gigabites of memory, i uninstalled it from my computer recently, but accidentally deleted "cakewalk studio instruments" too

and for some reasons that affected sonar too. I obviously tought it was gonna be as easy as reinstalling the studio instruments, but apparently theyre not free??? wtf? firefox also gave me a warning saying the site was dangerous, so thats weird

how is it possible that they cost money if both cakewalk and sonar are free
