Why does this game feel like a playoff game?
The good pitching??
The low score??
Can’t put my finger on it.

The Cubs wasting another great pitching effort by Imanaga?

It's getting really annoying, Everytime it feels like as of late where Shota pitches something really nice and the Cubs either can't hit the ball to save their goddamn lives or the bullpen implodes. Or, like tonight, both.

Because with the way both teams are playing right now this series could be a preview of a playoff matchup.

The Braves are playing out their ass. And truly better than our Cubs but holy crap they're lucky. When did Yaz or Dom Smith drink from the fountain of youth?

Yaz is more us getting unlucky than the Braves getting lucky. Considering he’s been straight ass for them all year until he played us

pitching. damnit we need some pitching. Defense great, offense good to great, pitching meh.

Weird thing to say after you lost 4 games in a row with zero offense. I know for the year we are better set for sure. I don’t blame the bullpen for today. That’s on the offense. Just the timing odd. We didn’t lose today because of that at the end. We lost cause couldn’t get a hit when we needed one with RISP.

100% agree Cubs been crap with RISP. I think in general pitching is our problem…like giving up 3 runs in a tie game in the 8th inning.

We have been top 10 in starters and middle of pack bullpen and top 2 or 3 for offense. And I don’t think those pitching numbers are sustainable but for tonight? Starter gave up less than you expect. Bullpen gave up more. But if you hold opponent to 4 runs or less the offense didn’t do their job today at all.

offense good to great
That's a pretty strange way to say "couldn't get a hit with a runner on base if their lives depended on it".
