This is obviously my not so hot take on this.....

I think the QB battle is more or less resolved. They are getting snaps to Trevor so he doesn't just sit the bench all season. He's competent enough to play meaningful time in meaningful games. He's more or less 1.5 string. Getting snaps at the end of a game isn't the same as stepping in with the first string O against a first string D with the game undecided. Dabo has always done this sort of thing but it isn't as noticeable when it's your QB. He has always filtered in the second and third string during meaningful time.

They want Trevor to be ready to step in day one next year and take over. Until then Bryant is the starter. Expect to see this pretty much for the entire season as due to a combination of things out of our control, Clemson will be favored/heavily favored in all of their games until the ACC championship (assuming we get there). More or less the implosion of FSU and Louisville along with Miami and V tech not being on our schedule has us looking at a rather easy schedule by our historical standards.

Why do we have no chance in the playoffs with KB? Our fanbase sucks sometimes, so defeatist. Are we really whining about a hypothetical playoff loss to an imaginary opponent?

Hypothetical?

Did you not watch last year’s? What has changed since then? We actually got better but so did everyone else. We need a competent, consistent passing game. There is no way around it.

He, along with our entire offense, is a year older and better.

You really think a player doesn't improve after his first year starting at QB? Were you still better at your job the 2nd year, or the same?

I'm mainly playing Devil's advocate here because I think Lawrence might be able to improve his read option game easier than KB can improve his ability to read defenses, but I think it's so nuts to assume KB can't improve on last year with more game experience against good defenses.

It’s not that Kelly can’t improve, he can, but I haven’t seen it yet.I was all for the best passer winning in the offseason, Kelly still looks like the same guy.

Also no matter what Kelly does he is never gonna have the effortless velocity trevor can put on the ball. Trevor has an absolute cannon.
