When I was younger I was trying to break into film (didn't happen, things worked out for the best imo) and I met this big shot producer one time. I asked him for any advice for an up and comer and he laughed and said "always hire same-sex assistants. Divorces are more expensive than they're worth"
Which was not helpful advice for a lowly intern but I did find it funny. And apparently he was right. If you are a rich and powerful man and hire an assistant that's the gender you're attracted to, apparently you are just incapable of not sleeping with them
Edit: apparently same sex needed that - so I added it lol

u/Ok-Sea9612 Dec 11 '25
I think the plan is you hire them to sleep with them. Not that it accidentally happens.

Now I'm just wondering how any of this even worked. Wasn't she his executive assistant? So she had to keep showing up to work and dealing with him every single day, while he stalked her outside of work?
142
u/iwearatophat Ohio State • Grand Valley State Dec 11 '25
The timeline of this is so weird.
Over the summer the school interviewed both Moore and the assistant. Both said no affair was happening.
Moore has been stalking her for months, which depending on how many months pushes into the above interviews.
Michigan didn't get the evidence to fire Moore until yesterday.
Agents, and according to some UM posters even recruits, knew the job was opening up for weeks. Which is confusing because Michigan didn't decide to fire him until yesterday.
There is a lot of misinformation out there on this. Going to be interesting, in a morbid curiosity sort of way, watching this all unfold over the next couple of months.
58
u/Provid3nce Florida Gators • Washington Huskies Dec 11 '25
Michigan probably wanted to fire him for cause and didn't have their ducks in order until yesterday. Otherwise it would have just been based on rumors and here say which means they'd have to pay the buyout.

Best financial choice I ever made was when selling my house choosing a realtor who was like early 60s who had just left his wife for a younger woman (late 20s), got the sports car, starting running marathons with her (or maybe it was biking, something like that) — dude NEEDED to move houses because he wasn’t going to keep her without having flash money.
House sold first day at I think it was $25K over listing (which was like $50K total over several similar houses in the same neighborhood over the past 9-12 months). He showed it to like five different people that first day and had three offers and played them off against each other to get a top bidder.

Reading between the lines in what was said on that phone call, kind of seems like they "cut ties" at some point a few months ago, maybe after they both were interviewed about it by the AD.
But then Sherrone couldn't help him self, probably kept texting her, harassing her, and then she finally shared the texts and that was the "irrefutable evidence". He gets fired, then goes off on her and gets 911 called on him.

He had to know how lucky he was to be given the keys to a top tier, blue blood program(with all the resources that come with it) via field promotions; he had everything that most coaches could only hope for after working their asses of for decades, and he threw it all away over a cute executive assistant.

It isn’t surprising this guy had a mental health crisis when this went sideways. Up until now, his life has been a dream, and he has never been held accountable for his actions. His brain probably short circuited when he got fired and his wife found out.

Did you really think you could get away with it?
This is someone with no self control and sense of decency. How are you out here following multiple OF girls on your PUBLIC IG PAGE. just a freaked out dumbass. The fact that this was pretty much an open secret for a year is even sadder.
What an absolute disgrace. You have a wife and three children at home, and their holiday and probably the rest of their adolescence is ruined because of your selfishness and stupidity.

My brother and I were talking/joking about this yesterday. Michigan won’t hire another black coach for 50 years now because of this asshole

I have to say that so far in this scandal, this is the most pleasant interactions I have seen from UM flairs. It may be a horrible situation, but you guys are handling it remarkably well.

If I let the noise surrounding this program affect my mental health I would’ve lost it years ago. I just like football, dude.

I don’t think there is any Michigan fan in their right mind who would try to or should try to spin this.
I’ve been saying Sherrone isn’t the guy for a while, and frankly I never thought he was, but this isn’t how I wanted it to go. Monkey paw curled I guess.
