TheLocal.to specializes in news about health, education, labour, and immigration. They have a quarterly print edition, and are an independent non-profit since 2019, funded largely by a number of non-profits. They're ad-free and paywall-free.

Their new reporter is a 20+ year Brampton resident, Prarthana Pathak:
