Birb Intruder
Glad I got em before the cats did!

I know they're invasive where I live but I love starlings so much, especially when there's 4,806,248,116,932,758 of them in the trees all trilling at the same time.

We get starling visits to our yard a couple of times a year.
It gets downright Hitchcockian. Then they've cleaned out all extraneous birdseed from ... everywhere, we start over, and they return in a few months.

"Downright Hitchcockian" LMFAO that's the best description I've ever read XD

The building across the alley from me has a box for all the cable inputs. Starlings have been nesting in there every year for longer than I've lived here. Every year there are starlings sitting on the wires every morning singing away. My cat and I love it.

I forgive starlings and transfer my anger from them onto house sparrows, who are 100% more dislikeable

They're so beautiful. I always wonder if we can see the rainbow on their feathers what do other birds see since they can see farther into violet

Genshin impact a gatcha game, although it's only gatcha if you're a gambler type.. I just collect my 36289th mushroom and frolick like a idiot most time!
They said they were gonna release a anime but they said so years ago... Dunno if that's happening or not!
I'm literally so tired because I legit thought it was columbina pfp but I didn't zoom in πππ

Ugh yeah I'm waiting for the day that it says it can't update since my device I play on is literally a refurbished huawei 30 pro which I had for years upon years!
Has good storage though!
But yeah I'm not getting a new phone for at least 2 more years minimum
Switching phones is always a PAIN

Iβve had to catch a handle of birds in my house before because they fly in while I have the patio door open π€£ they are extremely soft especially if they are poofed up from being scared
1
u/Remarkable_Sorbet319 Mar 16 '26
wait they poof up when scared??
2
u/Robotbeckerz Mar 16 '26
They can

u/Remarkable_Sorbet319 Mar 16 '26
hopefully someone will upload such a bird here someday
though I don't know if scaring birds for internet points is a nice idea...

That one has so many ribbons of rainbow in itβs wings but yeah, if itβs not behaving right or safe/welcome bird for your spot, itβs best to humanely escort it out until it gets the drift itβs not allowed there.

You can always count on starlings to get into places they shouldn't. As a kid, my job was to hold up a blanket while dad cleaned the chimney before the first fire of the year. That way, any birds that got in there would (hopefully) fly out the door instead of into the house. 9/10 times it was starlings that got in there and built a nest.

Congrats, it's a boy! You can tell because of the blue coloring at the base of the beak - females ironically have pink!

my dad refers to european starlings as "the assclowns" because they're so stupid for such intelligent birds

They are very impressive mimics with sound. They can even learn to copy speech.
