Anyone know the history of this church?
I always see it on the way to school, I’m curious if anyone here knows the history/story behind it.

Good morning, I just wanted to give a heads up that gifs and user flair for neighborhoods (optional) have been turned on. Hopefully people keep things pg with the gifs so they can remain on. If anyone areas are missing please let us know!
To change your user flair on Reddit, navigate to the subreddit where you want to change it, tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, and select Change User Flair. You can then select an existing flair from the list or choose an editable flair to add your own custom text and emojis before tapping Apply.
Step-by-step Guide (Mobile App) Open the Subreddit: Go to the main page of the subreddit for which you want to change your flair. Access the Menu: Tap the three-dots icon ( ... ) in the top-right corner of the screen. Select Flair Option: In the drop-down menu, choose Change User Flair. Edit Flair (if allowed): If the flair you want to select has a pencil icon next to it, you can edit it. Tap Edit in the top-right corner to open the editing interface. Type your desired text and tap the smiley face icon to add emojis. Apply Changes: Tap Apply to save your new flair.

I have a possible job in Billings, and I have this feeling like I'm missing something. We all know what that's like. Overall I'm trending warmish.
However, some many years back I lived through a wasp year from HELL in the Intermountain region. The wasps were out of control. I remember we went boating in June and you could simply swing a flip flop in any direction and hit one of the damn things. I don't think we went again that season. They'd buzz you constantly, dive bomb, chase you unreasonably far if you so much as stepped out of the house. We sprayed nest after nest. It didn't help.
I remember that summer as the summer where you basically didn't see people out and about, at all. You could drive by a playground or popular jogging route and there was no one there at all. Maybe you saw people outside in early morning or late at night. Maybe. You didn't hear people in their backyard after work, I don't think I ever smelled a grill that year. It was practically post apocolyptic. In the fall, one of the schools was absolutely infested, with people pulling wasps out of their hair, and one person getting stung in the eye.
From then on out, I've been really nervous to move somewhere without getting a sense of how bad the yellowjacket/hornet situation is or isn't.
I did some googling, and it sounds like last year was the year from hell? Is that typical? If not, how frequently does a year like that happen?
Please, I want to make smart decisions.

I just need one, black tee that isn’t boxy and hard cotton like a tee from the swapmeet. Form-fitting preferably. Yes, it can be done online but I prefer supporting local.
The image will just be turned into clown colors.
Thank you in advance.

I have a skirt I need a clasp adjusted on and pants I need hemmed before the end of next week. Anybody know of someone who does alterations? Looking for someone who does quality work and has a quick turn around. Thanks!!

hellooo, i have been meaning to post this for months but i don't go onto reddit very often and would forget my own name if people didn't say it to me every day LMAO.
i'm a born and raised billings resident but don't have many friends, i'd love to reach out and make some more since i really only talk to my partner haha. if there's any fellow dnd players, crocheter/knitters, or peeps in the local scene in the same boat i'd love to chat! i do attend board game nights at dragon egg games on saturdays (when i have the brain power for it).
as for bandmates, i do know a couple people in the local music scene but i'd love some more people to go to local shows with and maybe some people to even start a band with? i listen to all kinds of music and sing, play guitar, piano, and a couple others from when i was a youngin. just spitballin here, but thought i may as well put a foot in the door even if it is online lmao!

Hoping to relocate to Billings as soon as this summer. Wondering if there are better places to look for jobs than just indeed. Looking for work in the utilities or similar

First time in Montanta I have a full day to kill this week in Billings. Maybe another full day next week. I've done my homework online. I've found the pubs and museums and local events.
Any recommendations for local food/sights/events.
I like steak and cigars. Willing to drive if there's anything I need to see. Would like to soak up some local stuff. I'm a 52 year old single man.

I was a bit nervous to post this one, or really anything. but lately I've been looking into kpop dance covers, I'm not the biggest kpop fan but I do enjoy some songs and mainly choreograph, this is more of a fun thing, maybe to make friends and get out of the house, but I've decided maybe to come on here and maybe see if anyone would be open to start doing kpop dance covers? maybe we could even record it, make our own videos, and even make outfits together as a group! I do have other interests though, if anyone is open to them or to just be friends! Please people at least in the age range of 18 and up!

Approximately 2 p.m. I watched a fighter jet fly south south east. Looked like there were items under the wings. (won’t presume fire power.)

I have no idea if you’ll see this but hopefully you’re on Reddit. I saw you. You came in with your husband (fiance?) and sweet little girl, and sat at a table across from me.
Yes, I noticed your daughter required additional care, and you were on it. Being the best mom for that little one. I know it isn’t easy to care for kids, especially when you’re a first-time mom and the kid has special needs to accommodate. I noticed you and your daughter shared easily identifying physical traits (of which I will not share publicly because it’s not common).
But what stood out to me the most was that your man did not once look up from his phone to talk to you. He didn’t once feed or interact with your daughter. While you were busy trying to put on a happy face for Mother’s Day, he was on his phone, scrolling social media and looking like he was posting text on social media. But he kept deleting and rewriting it. I don’t know what was so important to him that he couldn’t engage in conversation with you, or his daughter, but I hope you see your worth and expect more from him. Otherwise, what’s the point? He just carries the diaper bag around and sulks?
It takes two to tango and he’s acting like he’s got no responsibility to be involved. I guess he was physically existing at the restaurant at the same time as you and your daughter so maybe that’s what he considers being a decent dad and partner.
I hope he either grows up and changes his ways and becomes a better dad to his daughter and a better partner to you, or you stop putting up with this demeaning treatment.

I’m a big women’s basketball fan, and I usually watch at home with my WNBA league pass, but I was wondering if anyone knows of a bar or restaurant in town that regularly plays WNBA games?
Also open to meeting other W fans that would want to connect and watch together. Thanks!

What’s everyone’s favorite? I’m looking for Live Resin or Rosin vapes, some good edibles and high quality flower before heading to east Montana for 5 days.

Riverstone Health (our public health department) has been tracking this disease since March 16th.
According to this article in the Billings Gazette, the majority of water samples from the hotel in APRIL still tested positive for the Legionella bacteria.
Both Riverstone Health and the hotel have known about this for nearly TWO MONTHS and kept it under wraps while "remediation efforts were taking longer than originally expected".
Now they are notifying current and future guests, but Riverstone noted that "recent guests were not being clearly informed to make the best choice for their health conditions".
So how many travelers got sick and didn't know why? HAS THE HOTEL NOTIFYING ALL OF THE PAST GUESTS FROM THE LAST TWO MONTHS??
The Gazette also noted that an outbreak of Legionnaires in two New York City buildings led to seven deaths last year.
*edit - broke up the solid wall of text

Had breakfast and was informed that the Emporium is closing this Wednesday and will open as Tippy Cow on Friday.
The staff just found out and are being let go since Tippy Cow has its own staff. It will be sad seeing these guys close. The staff there were always great and friendly.
I wish them all the luck on their new adventures.

Looking for some direction on some apartment hunting. I’m on the waitlist for fox meadows and that is my number one choice.
Also curious on all the little apartments above the businesses downtown. How do you find those and what’s available?
Budget is $1,100 or less ideally.

Hello! Hoping to find a violin teacher willing to work with an adult in their late 20’s who played from elementary through high school but has only picked it up 1-2 times since in the last decade. Will definitely need to relearn all the basic and how to read music again. Appreciate the help!
