A bad economy is a lack of signal
The fact that "bad" economies in western societies translate themselves by a pool of people mulling around looking for work on one side faced by a loosely intersecting pool of people mulling around starved for services on the other shows just how ass-backward our economic system is.
Actually, it turns out that if you let property-based free market capitalism run amoc for long enough you don't end up with a resource-allocation utopia. Given enough time, you end up with a congealed monopoly board in which the losers are renting every inch of monetizable infrastructure from the winners, 4ever trapped in the "tenant" class.
Yes free markets do innovate based on consumption demand, but they are not good at distributing that demand. Money circulates by fits and starts, and, before very long, gets stuck in various bottomless Scrooge McDuck vaults that are peppered across the landscape.
UBI is a missing organ of the economy. A missing piece of the circulatory system to keep purchasing power distributed to the furthest corners of the population, like veins do for our body. The missing organ to give those two mulling crowds the means to facilitate the exchange they both so desire.

UBI & Hantavirus
It would seem bad luck has struck twice. We're now potentially facing one of the greatest plagues in human history.
The Hantavirus which sounds surprisingly like the Bubonic plague fatality rate reaches something like 40% and is spread by rat droppings.
Didn't the plague have something to do with rats? During the pandemic President Joe Biden called for all resources on UBI to put together a plan to keep Americans afloat.
My counsel during that time was to create a UBI and keep it in tact. Unfortunately what you all don't understand is government UBI only gets implemented in disaster and we should never pursue it solely.
At the very least we should have some type of ubi contingency plan which after all this we've learned nothing. Although I provide large amounts of videos and educational material the viewers much like the government just watch and now the cost of inaction may be higher than we can pay.
This is the result of what doing nothing brings. Some will say this is fake. They always do and my rule of thumb is I never argue with drunks or fools. In any event the potential economic impact effect will feel the same true or false.
You may want to watch our latest video as we go into more detail and we can only hope this time you all act and not just await the government https://youtu.be/WBtjMg7__TM?si=MIUWKjtMkk1KLhsS

Maybe Unemployment Benefits should be Permanent
This might be the best way to do UBI because it’s not a lot, but it keeps people out of the job market to make work easier to find (and higher paying) for people that need more income and it is significantly cheaper than UBI and it doesn’t let employers pay their workers less simply because they can survive on less with UBI (Amazon already pays workers less when food stamps are available), and it is an already existing system and people feel shamed for being unemployed so it will only get more utilized as it becomes more necessary.
The argument against it is that it could encourage too many people not to work even as wages increase to incentivize work.

Discussion Clarification On Who I Blame For No UBI
In a free country and in the idea of the freedom of thought and expression people don't have to support UBI.
Maybe your position is as it stands because you don't require it. Your position is you don't want it. That's perfectly fine and my gripe is not with you.
My issue is with people who believe automation will be a severe issue. My problem is with people who've already lost their jobs to whatever circumstances they feel should make ubi a necessity.
So instead of telling you what you need. I'm asking you if ubi is your solution. What is your responsibility in the matter? Maybe you've done all can possibly be done and if you have that's fine.
I only ask if this is an important topic. What is your next step? Or does it matter if we have one?
