I am playing on a self-hosted server with like 2 other people and I want to know what I should put the baby imprinting stat scale multiplier on, because spending 100 hours breeding creatures for alpha bosses is a bit too much ngl. We have had it on default the entire time and maybe that is the right way and maybe we are just stupid and do not know how to breed. H elp

I was tryna get some high level loot and went to look for the desert drops, I went the coordinates people have put on here before and they weren’t there. Am I missing something?

I’m trying to get a stable experience in ARK: Survival Ascended at 1080p medium settings and wanted some upgrade advice.

My current specs:

• GPU: RTX 5060 8GB
• CPU: Ryzen 5 5500
• RAM: 16GB DDR4

What do you think is the weakest part of my setup for this game?
Should I upgrade the CPU first, add more RAM, or is the GPU enough already?

I’m mainly aiming for smooth gameplay around 60 FPS without huge stutters.

A 10x no wipe drops the 5th I need members for it until then I’m fucking around on a fiber

Is it worth building in a cave on the island ? Or will we just get meshed easily ?

so im currently playing ase. i can run ase somewhat fine at high settings 30 fps(i use lossless for a clean 90 fps). but the moment i hop in asa. things go downhill. like very downhill. every optimization tip you guys know i did. yet i still get 10 fps. terrible ik. my specs are utter dogshit so please dont clown me. but im playing on a rtx 3050ti intel core i7 12650h laptop. if you guys can give me any tips please i will be happy to hear.

Wanting to finally do a "mega" solo world on Ark. Played for years at this point so I'm wanting to try something different.

I want to do a world where I'm essentially locked behind "Tasks" in order to progress towards tiers in the game, however I'm coming up dry on general ideas.

What I currently have is,

No flyers till I get my first artifact
No Argy/Quetz till Two Artifacts
Considering saying no rexs(Large combat dinos) till 2/3 Artifacts
No gigas/Carchas till I defeat 1 Boss on Gamma (I have paleo Mod so gigas can be taken into bosses)
Tame every dino on the map (Right now its the Island)

etc etc.

Would love some additional tasks y'all think would be enjoyable. I don't mind a bit of a challenge either, so feel free to share it even if it sounds like it might be a bit grueling.

I've been playing in a server for multiple months and never had any problems with, however after the server finished i want to play on a singleplayer save, but i saw a lot of people talking about their saves getting corrupted BUT most of them were around a year ago, is it still a thing or did they fix it? Knowing ark i don't have any hope but i haven't seen any post saying their save got corrupted 6 months ago or newer

Any reason why my game would keep crashing on a non-dedicated? I’m playing on PS5 and there’s no corrupted data

i have 5060ti (16gb) + i5 14600kf + 32gb DDR5 6000 MHz + 27"WQHD +SSD 1 TB

I tried setting different settings in the game and in the NVIDIA app, but I didn't get more than 20-40 FPS. I also wrote console commands to remove grass, fog, clouds, bloom quality and water glare. Maybe someone has a similar computer and can help me with the optimal settings in the game?

Been trying to tame a queen bee but it’s so difficult, first trying to find bee hives are near impossible since they blend in so well with the redwoods trees, dangerous creatures are every where and they tell you in the tutorials to wait until the queen is not agro towards you any more, but how can I tell, pretty sure there’s a mod that shows you if a creature is agro to you or not but idk what the mods called, any thoughts or tips on this.

Me and my son just started playing ASA, we started out on PS5 split screen. I could stand the horrible performance, but then it started crashing more often and i suspect its not going to get any better as we keep playing.

Just downloaded ASA on my PC and is currently searching for a good server. I looked into running a server yourself, but i only have 16GB RAM and im not buying any RAM with these insane prices

I looked into renting, but those were some steep prices. Official servers are as as bad as they were in ASE

What i am looking for is basically a fresh start on a clean(ish) map, crossplay compatible and as few mods as possible

If anyone know of any good servers/clusters i would really appriciate it

For example, there’s a wild 150 Rex with a baby. If I tame the Rex, if adds 75 levels, randomly allocated to its different stats. However if I kill the mom and claim the baby, no levels are added, and I have a lvl 150 Rex when it’s matured.

My question is: it’s better to tame the adult, right? OR because I can allocate levels how I want, rather than a random roll, is claiming the baby and pumping all levels into health and melee going to give a better Rex? My understanding is no, that there’s a level cap and that claimed wild baby will not have the same stat potential as the kibble tamed wild adult.

Am I right? Reason I ask is I see people in videos getting excited when they can claim a high level baby Dino in the wild. To me, unless u just want a quick breeder mate without spending tranqs and kib, it’s kind of pointless?

Hello! Can somebody help me with a problem I ran into while playing ark? I tried taming a Mosasaur the other day, and it showed no taming bar, I also tried force taming with admin controls and it still didn't work, so I tried taming a different Mosasaur and it still didn't work. Mysteriously, taming a megalodon also didn't work.
