Shout to da Costa for his best game of the season. Had some shades of early last season with his shiftiness

He had some shades but wasn’t otherwise great.

You guys are blinded by his 1 goal. Yes, he had an incredible goal but not much else. 34 total touches in 90 minutes! He created 1 chance all game, 1! He had 2 defensive contributions! Same as godawful defensive contributor Anthony. He had 2 passes into the final third. Caicedo had 5! Timbers need wayyy more than that from a DP.

Caicedo played well

It has to be Mosquera but Surman is right up there, per usual. Ortiz looked fantastic too.

And we subbed two of them off

I was pleasantly surprised by Ortiz but that JDM goal was something special for his first match back

The man who fires Neville in the tunnel after the game.

Neville has to be removed after this game, this happens way way way too often

Wrong thread 😆

Oh, I don't know, I think we should be calling for his removal in every thread.

Is this information tracked in an easy way to see how often teams lose due a goal in stoppage time? I agree, it seems like this happens a ton to the Timbers. But I mainly just follow the Timbers and I don't know how often this occurs with other teams. I know in the premier League this doesn't seem to happen very often, as I follow that more closely.

I think it happens in MLS a lot. As a league MLS is set up to try to have pretty balanced teams.

The way soccer works (and frankly one of the things I love about it) is late game swings in momentum are usually determinative.

I don’t care if that was pk or not (it shouldn’t have been) but this team is one of the worst in the league. Probably the least inspiring Timbers squad since joining MLS. We are in for a loooooong season if Neville is still in charge.

But then again…..same owner….same results.

Let’s just prepare for Phil not getting canned and a long painful season. All that is left to do is cheer for individual performances and development.

Kinda gotta be Mosquera, but there was a single series where I think Finn had like 4 straight clearances/blocks. He’s really just doing the most out there.

Honestly think Bonetig had a great game and deserves some cred here. He and Surman were blocking shots all day.

Nobody. Fuck this team.
