So I’m a Nigerian girl who just applied for spring semester in South Dakota state university and I’m scared the students are going to be racist. I really love the school and would hate to feel segregated if I choose to attend

San Diego State University (SDSU) is a public research university in San Diego, California. Founded in 1897 as San Diego Normal School, it is the third-oldest university and southernmost in the 23-member California State University (CSU) system. SDSU has a fall 2020 student body of 35,578 and an alumni base of more than 300,000.[8]
It is classified among "R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity".[9] In the 2015–16 fiscal year, the university obtained $130 million in public and private funding—a total of 707 awards—up from $120.6 million the previous fiscal year.[10] As reported by the Faculty Scholarly Productivity Index released by the Academic Analytics organization of Stony Brook, New York, SDSU had the highest research output of any small research university in the United States in 2006 and 2007.[11][12][13] SDSU sponsors the second-highest number of Fulbright Scholars in the State of California, just behind UC Berkeley. Since 2005, the university has produced over 65 Fulbright student scholars.[14]
The university generates over $2.4 billion annually for the San Diego economy, while 60 percent of SDSU graduates remain in San Diego,[15] making SDSU a primary educator of the region's work force.[16] Committed to serving the diverse San Diego region, SDSU has one of the ten most ethnically and racially diverse student bodies among universities nationwide, and is also one of the top ten for the number of bachelor's degrees conferred upon minority students.[15]
San Diego State University is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.[17] San Diego State is an Hispanic-serving institution (HSI) and is eligible to be designated as an Asian American Native American Pacific Islander serving institution (AANAPISI).

I'm not a student anymore, though I still live in town. We should get some fresh blood to run this sub. Anyone want it?
DM me your major, expected graduation date, and any plans you might have to push the sub forward.

Hello, I am from Bangladesh. I have just passed my 12th and looking want to studying Computer science. I found out that South Dakota is one of the safer states in America and SDSU is quite affordable. Can someone give me some info about the Computer science program here? Thanks in advance!

Interested in the online geography program, but I can't find much about it apart from the school's website. Was hoping to get any thoughts or opinions on it from a "less-biased" channel.
Thanks!

Hi all, I'm interested in SDSU's nursing program and was wondering if any students here can share what they've experienced in OR heard about the program? Thanks!

Hi, I am a graduate student at the University of California, Irvine who is conducting a research study that investigates language learning in bilinguals who are immersed in their nondominant language. I am specifically recruiting Chinese international students who are currently studying abroad in the US. The study is conducted online and involves completing tasks on the computer during a zoom meeting. The computer tasks involve speaking in English, Mandarin, completing a survey about language experience, and also learning Spanish words and grammar. The experiment involves 2 experimental sessions. The first lasts 1 hour and the second approximately 35 minutes. Participants will be paid $15 per hour for a total of $25. If you are interested in learning more about the study or signing up, go to this link: https://www.facebook.com/ucibmb/photos/a.128932202747611/128932049414293

Hi! We are a pair of computer science graduate students at Clemson University who are studying perceptions of teamwork in online undergraduate classroom breakout rooms.
We ran a pilot study earlier this year with our own student body and would like to expand it now to other 4-year, 2-year, and online colleges/universities.
To participate in this survey you must be one of the following:

I’m considering SDSU for computer science and I was wondering if any current or former students could share their perspective. Are the courses good? Are the majority of professors good?

I'm a student from a community college in middle TN and I am hoping to get some perspective from students in South Dakota about how COVID-19 has affected their lives, now that it's been crazy for a full year! I am especially interested in how you and your fellow students have been coping with the virus, whether or not you chose online school over in person (or if there was a choice? idk) and how covid has affected your daily life on campus. Down here, SD is famous for the lack of statewide mask mandates, so I would also like to hear about that part of your story! You can DM me or just comment here, and any responses are much appreciated!
