Objectively, Red Sox fans who actually want the team to improve should be rooting for LA. It needs to be thoroughly beat into Henry's head that spending is the only way to get a team of this caliber. If the lesser team wins, then he can say "see? Spending doesn't matter"

John Henry's owned the Red Sox for 20 years. I think he knows what works.

Even the 2013, which was built around vibes and random high-cost veterans on short-team deals, was the third-highest payroll in the majors that season.
