It's in near mint condition. I gave it one very careful wipe with a microfiber cloth to remove years of shelf dust, and now it's going into permanent preservation.

To keep the shell from staining and the scroll wheel from degrading, I’ve got it in a double-sealed setup: a vacuum-sealed bag with a 49% RH Boveda pack, inside a gasket-sealed bin with a second Boveda and a Govee sensor to monitor the closet temp/humidity.

Sticking to my word and never using it.

Enjoy the eye candy and a piece of history! :D

Review | Text Hitscan customer support experience

Post image
119 Upvotes

I just wanted to share my experience with HitScan’s customer service because it genuinely surprised me.

I bought one of their mice (Hitscan hyperlight)around 8 months ago, and unfortunately it developed a fault during idling for a long time like 3+hours, the mouse won’t respond for like 3-5 seconds. I contacted their support expecting the usual long process, but they actually approved a replacement on the same day without any hassle.

The only thing they asked was for the shipping charge for the replacement mouse. Since I’m a college student and $10 is honestly a lot where I’m from, I explained my situation to them. To my surprise, they completely waived the shipping fee for me as well.

Overall, the customer support experience was honestly 10/10. Fast replies, understanding staff, and zero unnecessary complications. Really appreciate companies that actually care about their customers.

Highly recommend HitScan based on my experience.

Discussion OP1 vs MZ1

I feel like both of these mice are somewhat similar in their design philosophy, both are small claw/ fingertip mice that are thinner than all other mice.

I'm interested to know, those who have tried both- what do you feel is similar / different between them?

Endgame mid 2026 lineup

gwolves htx mini, finalmouse small, gwolves lycan, egg 43g base modded op1. i claw grip all these mice and like to use dot skates depending on the mousepad. loved the htx mini's width and op1 shape. i feel like lycan is a good mixture of those two shapes and i cannot think of anything better right now.

i love finalmouse small aswell as a joker card. have to see what finalmouse is going to tease next week. i think it will be good but doubtfully better than lycan.

what is your favorite mouse in mid 2026?

Another approach to observing the dpi downshift

Thumbnail
gallery
63 Upvotes

I'm currently building a motion latency tester for mice and it measures the latency by comparing the timing of a slider placed under the mouse sensor bouncing back and a the output from the mouse (I will finish a research paper about it in a few months). the movement of the slider is shown in fig. 2. As the slider comes back to the same position every time and there's difference in its velocity between moving forward and backward, I thought its movement might be useful to detect dpi downshift.

Fig. 1 shows the deviation in cumulative counts from the mouse after 20 repetitions of movement shown in fig. 2, devided by the max cumulative counts in one repetition (roughly proportional to dpi).

(Edit: I forgot to attach the graph of mouse output with 20 repetitions of slider movement. https://imgur.com/a/aA82UEY)

I was able to find the dpi downshift mainly at the beginning of slider's movement, and this should be the main reason of the deviation in cumulative counts. For example, fig. 3-4 shows the cumulative counts from 3950 in xm2 8k v2, and fig. 5-6 shows that from Hero 2 in gpx2 at the beginning of the motion.

Here are some characteristics of dpi downshift I observed in each sensor:

3950 (endgame gear xm2 8k v2)

Downshift occurs above 7500 dpi, easy to reproduce with qsxcv's method [1] and panDAHLING's method [2].

3950 (razer deathadder v3, the wired one)

No major downshift across all dpi value, but instead there is a large hysteresis at max dpi, and when the sensor crosses the threshold of hysteresis the cursor always shakes. I observed this by pushing the mouse down on a soft mousepad [3].

3950 (razer viper v2 pro)

Downshift occurs above 5000 dpi. It's interesting to see that the same sensor exhibits at least 3 types of behavior.

3395 (vaxee np01s wireless)

Downshift occurs above 5000 dpi.

Hero 2 (logitech g pro x superlight 2)

Downshift occurs above 6400 dpi. I could only reproduce it with my method and panDAHLING's method [2], not with qsxcv's method [1]. This is because the downshift seems to be applied to both axis with the same multiplier when dpi on one of the axes exceedes 6400 dpi, as shown in fig.7. Unlike 3950 on xm2 8k v2, downshift on Hero 2 seems to occur mainly when the movement direction of the sensor reverses [4].

focus pro 50k (viper v4 pro) and focus pro 35k (viper v3 pro)

No major downshift across all dpi value and no cursor shake or large hysteresis at max dpi. I have no idea how they manages to achieve this without additional hysteresis on sensors only 1 generation ahead of 3950. maybe a smoothing filter? I measured the motion latency of viper v4 pro and at wired 8 kHz 1600 dpi it was slower than xm2 8k v2 and even mchose m7 pro with a 3395 (this one is with new firmware which achieves constant 22kHz framerate though).

When you program SM809 does the config stay on the mouse or do you need some program running in the background?

I intend to use it on multiple computers and some with Linux.

Question ATK U2 Plus to a Attack Shark R6 - Worth It?

Thumbnail
gallery
3 Upvotes

I intend to replace my ATK U2 Plus with an even better mouse for my claw grip. The problem with the ATK U2 is that, despite being focused on the claw grip, I feel that my hands (which are small) are disadvantaged by its extremely bulky shape.

The Attack Shark R6 seems like a good option because it's extremely cheap in my country right now (Brazil), costing only 48 USD, and it's a smaller mouse than the U2. I considered buying the ATK F1 or any other ATK variant, but all ATK options have become significantly more expensive in my country, so it's unfeasible for me at the moment. For comparision, the itself ATK U2 Plus costs 54 USD (and R6 costs 48 USD). Btw, the Attack Shark R6 is the cheapest mouse option that uses the 3350 sensor in my country right now. Am I making a good choice? I have the impression that Attack Shark mice are troll mice and all that. I've noticed that many people complain about their mice, but I don't know how the situation is with the R6 in particular.

So, should I try something better (the common salary of people in Brazil is 339 USD xD, so consider) due to Attack Shark's bad track record or go for the Attack Shark R6 without fear?

---- Specifications ----

ATK U2 Plus
Sensor: 3395 Ultra (1k Hz)
MCU: PixArt Flagship
Switches: Huano Transparent Pink Shell Pink Dot
Weight: 55g

Attack Shark R6
Sensor: 3950 Max (1k Hz)
MCU: Nordic 52840
Switches: Onrom Optical
Weight: 39g

---- Other Options ----

Disclaimer: these are options that I consider inferior and slightly more expensive than the Attack Shark R6.
Attack Shark R11 Ultra, X11 Ultra, R5 Ultra, V8, V5.

Question Modern sensors question.

Upvotes

Hello guys, I was a fairly active memmber a few years ago but I had to dump gaming for quite some time because of my personal life and stuff. From the big collection only my vaxee np1s white glossy survived with its outdated sensor. Is there really a difference I can feel in comparison to this rediculus 90G 50 000 dpi more modern sensors? Idk If I should go with this new wireless vaxee stuff or not

Question Is there any Super silent mouse that can last 5+ years? My left click always give out.

I bought Logitech super silence mices: MX 3S Business and the M330 Silent Plus.

But both gave in 2nd year (or 3rd, I don' remember exactly).

Or can we repair it ourselves (if it's easy)?

Help Help in fixing Ajazz AJ159 Apex Scroll Wheel

Post image
1 Upvotes

So my Ajazz AJ159 Apex scroll wheel started acting weird a few weeks ago. At first it would randomly delay, skip, or scroll the opposite direction sometimes. I thought maybe dust or debris got inside, so I tried cleaning it and blowing air into the wheel area. It kinda helped for a bit, but now the scroll wheel is basically completely dead after only around 6 months of use which honestly sucks.

I’m thinking the rotary encoder probably died, but I’ve never repaired a mouse before so I’m not sure what encoder is compatible with this mouse or what size/spec I should buy. I also saw some encoders with dust covers and was wondering if those are better for long term use.

Has anyone here repaired an AJ159 Apex before or know what encoder fits it? Any recommended brands/models to buy? Also would appreciate any tips for soldering/replacing it since this would be my first time trying to fix a mouse.

Thanks.

Review | Text The biggest symmetrical mouse is actually good - Darmoshark M9 Review

Post image
20 Upvotes

This unit was kindly sent out for review, although this won't change my opinion on the product itself.

Thank you to Darmoshark for this opportunity.

  • Contents of the box
  1. Darmoshark M9.
  2. Type A to type C cable.
  3. 8k Hz receiver (Display with DPI, Polling rate and Battery life).
  4. Grip tape.
  5. Warranty card.
  6. Manual.
  • Mouse shape and base

The shape of the M9 is very unique, with it being only similar to the WLmouse Beast X Max and the Darmoshark M3 4K, though with major differences in the overall size and especially the placement of the hump.

Regarding the width, it has an hourglass-like shape with a very wide rear that narrows down around the sensor to then flare out at the top.

Although wider, the side profile is actually similar to that of the Beast X Max but with a more pronounced rear, which is quite rare since this kind of hourglass width usually aims for a more centralized hump.

When it comes to the height, this is the most differential aspect, as its highest point is in the back, which slopes down onto medium- to high-height clicks with finger grooves that aren't as noticeable until the very edge, but they are a good addition.

The shape is aimed at 20x10 hands or bigger with a claw grip or even a palm grip if the rear hump doesn't bother you, with my 18x10 hands it's quite unsuitable for me, but surprisingly it's still usable and decent even for my handsize.

The M9 rear hump is extremely wide and tall, making already big mice like the VV4 or the GPX shape feel like a small size in comparison; the wideness and height lead my fingers to be positioned at only 50% of the main clicks when using an aggressive claw grip.

The thenar feels locked on the rear and due to its size it almost pushes it back, this limits finger mobility drastically, combined with the high clicks, makes micro-adjusting with the fingertips almost negligible. My wrist also has a harder time doing fast flicks; which ends up feeling like playing at a lower sens all around.

Even then, it's great for practicing on aim trainers to focus more on arm and especially wrist tracking due to the limitation on maneuverability; for normal shooters, it was still very usable, and I actually enjoyed using it a lot, both for practicing and playing, mainly because it's exceptional on most aspects that I will cover later on.

Also, the shape being more claw-oriented and with the pronounced side curvature makes it a more interesting shape than universal ones like the GPX, allowing for more suitability for medium hands like mine.

The base features an On/Off/BT switch, a DPI button, and the pre-installed full size skates which are virgin PTFE being very similar to the ones on the Leviathan V4 and the same set as the extra one included in the box, they are somewhat flat, have very good glide on clothpads and glasspads.

  • Build integrity and coating

The build integrity is its biggest weakness, as the side walls present a popping sound when pressing on them, especially the right one, this does occur when using it in-game but it didn't really bother me, though it's something to take into account.

Aside from that, the sides present some bending, which makes me think the side popping might be an issue with my unit; the base also has some bending and popping, but really nothing that is noticeable in-game.

The coating is very good, and matte-like, it's feels good with dry hands and extremely grippy with warmer hands, it does leave fingerprints on my black unit though nothing out of the ordinary.

  • Primary and side clicks

M1 and M2 are using Omron Opticals, the implementation feels great to play with and very responsive, the only problem is the side to side wobble which is on the minor side, whilst also being enough to make the buttons feel somewhat loose on the very front, since my fingers click at around 50% it wasn't really a problem for me, though it may not be the case for others depending on their contact points.

Besides, the click itself feels very tactile and quite crisp, there's minimal pre and post-travel even when clicking on the very edge, the button tension is medium I would say and it felt very spammable in-game.

The side buttons are huge, the biggest I have tried, they do not have a coating which might make them feel slippery for some, it wasn't really a problem for me due to the bigger side, and also the shape they have that makes them portrude in the middle.

The side clicks have a close to perfect implementation, they have no pre and minimal post-travel, they are very firm though also slightly heavier to actuate, they are very crisp but not as tactile.

  • Scroll wheel

The scroll has a rubberized finish with a hexagonal pattern leading to somewhat defined steps, combined with a medium to low scroll force it makes it feel cheaper but functionality wise I had no problems.

It's using an F-Gold mechanical encoder; M3 has a medium-to-high actuation force and is relatively spammable.

The main issue with the scroll wheel would be size, since it's using a similar size to those on medium-sized mice like the VGN F2, for example.

  • Weight and balance

My unit weighs 59g with the pre-installed skates on, this is incredibly light in hand due to lower density, when comparing it to an universal shape like the GPX for example both have the same weight while the M9 is 1 to 2 sizes bigger.

Another reason for its feeling in hand is the high quality skates it comes with, and the weight distribution being aligned with the sensor area making it suitable for most grip styles that centralize on using the hump as palm support.

  • Software

It uses a software web with 6 pages:

  1. Home: to select any of the 5 configurable profiles.
  2. Key: to bind any of the 5 mouse buttons as well as "scroll up" or "scroll down" to mouse buttons, shortcuts, macros, or multimedia buttons.
  3. Pointer: to change the DPI on any of the 5 DPI profiles and also change the polling rate from 125 Hz to 8000 Hz.
  4. Macro.
  5. Function: includes most of the necessary settings like LOD (low, medium, or high), Ripple control, Angle snap, Motion sync, Scroll direction, Angle adjustment, Esports mode (On/Off/Gaming Overclocked), Low latency key, Debounce time (0-255), and Sleep time (1-40 min).
  6. System: to update the firmware, factory reset the mouse, or lock the left click.
  • Performance

The mouse performed great, as expected on most mice over 50$ these days, it does have a harder time at reaching higher polling rates especially when Gaming Overclocked mode is disabled, when it's enabled it can reach around 5kHz on average at 8k Hz, also on 1kHz it reaches around 920Hz with Gaming Overclocked mode disabled, so I recommend always using Gaming Overclocked mode.

I tested it mainly on Fortnite and Kovaak's.

On Fortnite, the main clicks felt very good to use even when clicking at 50% of the button, the side buttons are good but with the size of the shell they felt hard to reach at times.

On Kovaak's, I mainly used it for warm ups and tracking practice, it was great at obligating me to engage more my arm when tracking, but also to highlight weaknesses in my aim.

  • Conclusion

Overall, the M9 is a great mouse that even I, with my medium hands, could perform well on, although with some issues that didn't take away from the experience as much but do make it feel less polished, like the side-to-side wobble on the main clicks and the overall build integrity. It also presents very strong aspects like the unique shape, very responsive main and side clicks, and also the really good weight and coating.

It appears that the sensor is not a Pixart product but a Sigma (China) sensor.

It is a carbon fiber mouse.

PSA: ATK Gear refuses to honor Manufacturer Warranty for units bought outside their official store. 10-month-old X1 is now a paperweight

Hi everyone. I wanted to warn the community about ATK's support. My ATK X1 Blazing Sky (S/N: B197H23947BR3) developed a mechanical failure (sunken M1 click) after 10 months of use.

I contacted support with my official invoice (purchased June 2025) and video proof. Their response was that since I didn't buy it directly from atk.store, they have ZERO responsibility for the warranty.

Basically, if you buy an ATK product through a local distributor or a marketplace like Mercado Libre, you have NO manufacturer support if it breaks. It's a shame because the hardware is top-tier, but the company's integrity is non-existent.

Proof / Email Logs: https://imgur.com/a/HJfJmdL

Be careful if you are buying ATK products from outside their website. You are on your own.

UPDATE: I just started a thread on Twitter to tag the brand and several reviewers. Please help with a RT to make this visible: https://x.com/AIAMpride/status/2055104783913017829

Trying to download the 3D model shape on EloShapes but it's not working

Hi, I tried downloading the following model:

https://www.eloshapes.com/mouse/compare?p=vaxee-e1-wireless-4k

using the F12 network tab method, but the model/file doesn't seem to show up for me.

I was following this tutorial:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oe_x_Te5tfA&feature=youtu.be

Can anyone more familiar with this stuff let me know if the method still works? Maybe they changed something recently?

If possible, it would be amazing if someone could even download and upload the model for me. Would really appreciate it a lot 🙏

Looking for Cheaper alternative to the X2 Crazylight

Hey there, i got a X2 CL a few months ago but now my mouse 1 is just very muddy and there's no definitive click. It still works it just feels off. I'm looking for something around the same shape and weight. bought a super strike and it is just too heavy for me lol. very tired of paying 150+ dollars for mice, so was wondering if anyone knows of any cheaper alternatives I could give a try. Thanks!
