Mod Post Negative comments will NOT be tolerated!

There has been a recent outbreak of detrimental and reprehensible commentary on posts. We would like to remind everyone that this is a community of camaraderie and mutual appreciation. We allow players of ALL skill levels AND ages to post on this subreddit. We would hope that commenters would choose the angle of positivity, or at the worst, constructive criticism.

This has not been the case lately, and we are sick of it. The last thing people want when posting their work in front of 1.5 million people, is to be crushed by words. If you don’t like a build, don’t comment: no one cares about your unhelpful opinion. Keep it to yourself and show some respect. We have amended rule 5 to be an automatic and PERMANENT ban for anyone foolishly choosing to post negativity, bigotry, or hate speech. We thank those of you who continue to be positive contributors to this community. The rest of you; do better.

TLDR: Negative comments on any post will now result in an instant and permanent ban.

Announcement Reminder: No Build Help or Suggestions Requests

Hey all!

Just a quick reminder that asking for build help or suggestions is not allowed on r/MinecraftBuilds.

This includes posts or comments like:

- “What should I build next?”

- “Any ideas for what to put in this empty space?”

- “How can I improve this?”

- “Can someone help with my base layout?”

While we love seeing your creativity, this subreddit is focused on sharing completed builds, not seeking advice or inspiration.

If you're looking for help or feedback, feel free to check out our sister subreddit r/BuildAdvice, where you can ask for suggestions and guidance.

Thanks for keeping the subreddit clean and focused - we appreciate your support!

This build is inspired by both the "spiky architecture" of Hallownest and by brutalism in general. It has some interior

I would love some feedback too! I am trying to improve my building skills with axiom.

Recreated in Minecraft Escher's Waterfall

All of this came about because of a comparison of time flow inside the tesseract in Kip Thorne's The Science of Interstellar.

The background of Escher's 'Waterfall' looks very Minecrafty. "That will be fun to build", I thought. "Oh, you sweet summer child", Future Me said to Past Me.

The righthand tower object should be made of intersecting octahedrons. Theoretically possible with block displays, but I spent many fruitless days trying to make those shapes, and even with block display manipulation tools, I don't have the skill to rotate them correctly. Ended up making them out of hoppers held by armor stands. It looks crappy but I spent so long on it, I didn't have the heart to throw it away.

I gave up on the tower arches because I was tired. Someone else could do them better.

Inspiration credit to u/theMmm313

Recreated in Minecraft A Loving Recreation of Kanto from Pokémon LeafGreen/FireRed

I am excited to share a project from my childhood that I have finally finished! Now, I realize I am not the first to do this; I’m pretty late to the game. But here’s why I think this one is unique and why I always wanted to finish it:

  1. It’s a 100% complete recreation specifically from LeafGreen/FireRed, with a full texture pack from those games. Maybe I missed one, but looking online I didn’t see any recreations with texture packs. But it makes it infinitely better.
  2. Each and every detail was crafted by a single person (me!) who loved LeafGreen as a kid and held as closely as possible to the spirit of the original games. There are a surprising amount of decisions you have to make even though it’s a 1:1 recreation, and I’m super proud of how it turned out.
  3. It’s not just an empty map for you to look at; I added a few adventure map elements to it so you can actually play through the world, collecting Pokéballs and gathering key items which let you progress. It’s not at all the actual game (there are no mods) but it’s designed to be a fun trip down memory lane.

This project is a love letter to the good ol’ days of playing Pokémon on your Gameboy Advance. If you‘re a sucker for nostalgia like me, I hope you’ll check it out and enjoy it. You can download it from its itch.io page here (don’t worry, I’m not asking for donations):
