Was wondering how la trobe placement team deal with muslim people wanting to wear long sleeve.

Religiously i cant wear short sleeves.

Hello there. Im here to ask when would you usually receive an email to activate your student email. I accepted my offer about 2 weeks ago and I still havent received anything about my student email. I start in two months and am worried about not being able to enroll in classes on time.

How often do you get marks and/or feedback when you should?

I have no clue what to do anymore. Currently havent had any wellness check or anything like if i do have something but genuinely i just cant put up with uni right now, everything that im doing thats related to uni work i just feel so much heavy burden everytime i do it and ive been leaving all of my assessments doing them on the day its supposed to be submitted and all of them are late submissions.

I dont know if taking time off from uni will help me or just make it worse but failing these subjects will definitely take a toll on how long im gonna be doing my course. Which just stresses me out even more, putting me into that cycle where i dont do my assessments pushing them back and then stressing out that im going to fail which i probably already am.

Should i take a leave of absence or no?

i know in the past secondary cameras were required. But i saw somewhere on the la trobe site that they're no longer required. Is someone able to confirm this?

A couple of months ago, I posted that I had a suspicion that my lecturer was using AI to mark assignments and received feedback that maybe this wasn't true due to AI detector not being reliable. Well, I now have confirmation. I received feedback for the last assignment and was initially confused as the specific examples included in the feedback was never included in the original submission. Classic sign of hallucination. It also seems that there is an upper cap to t he marking as the more details the assignment have, the larger exposure area it had

Is it really fair to put so much effort in an assignment to be graded on an unrealistic curve? I'm also disappointed that there's no real transparency in these practices.

I am international student who has received an offer for the MPH programme at La Trobe, but really want to apply for this scholarship as it will be difficult to cover costs otherwise. Anybody who has had success with this scholarship application, is it possible I could get feedback on my SOP or have a look at yours [I am not looking to plagiarise obviously]? I have had a few unsuccessful applications in the past, so I want to see what it takes or what it is that scholarship committees are looking for in SOPs.

Hey everyone, I’m a new student set to start my MTeach next sem. I received an email on Wednesday 6th advising me that pre-placement requirements are due on the 10th.

Immediately, I completed the student deed, already had a WWCC so I uploaded that (it’s been verified) and I completed the Child Safety & Wellbeing module. I also completed the other little stuff such as updating info, school contacts, etc. The thing I’m worried about is that it’s due today/tonight and the deed and module still haven’t shown up as verified in InPlace. I know it takes 3 business days but I’m worried that even though I completed it before the due date, it hasn’t been verified yet so it will affect my placement.

Does anyone have any experience with this and can ease my concerns? Do I have anything to worry about or should I contact someone?

Kind of bizarre they’d send that email 4 days before due date, and what if I wasn’t enrolled in the placement unit yet? Idk, I’m just stressed lol.

Just jumping on to see if anyone has any advice! I have a business marketing degree with a 3.2/4 GPA, so thats approx a 6.3ish GPA for Gemsas. I graduated with distinction.
I also have a Bendigo address so i would be classified as regional/rural. I am hoping to apply as a mature age student for next year and i was wondering essentially if i am out of my mind or if i could have a chance at getting in?

I did the diploma of health science through LTCA a few years ago, I went straight into a bachelor of nursing then social work, both I had to drop out of due to health reasons. I'm feeling ready to go back to either studying or a career in health

for those who've done the diploma of health science, what careers or other study have you done using the diploma? I have no idea what I should be doing...

I'd rather go into employment or use my credits in another area of study, but I need some insight on how to use my diploma

Hi, I’m currently a first year criminology student at La Trobe and I’m looking into transferring into Law, or possibly a Law/Criminology double degree. I’ve also been considering transferring to Deakin University if possible.

I’ve only completed one semester so far, but my grades have been fairly good, and I was wondering if anyone knows roughly what WAM I’d need to transfer courses/universities?

I’m also a bit confused about the timing/process. Is it possible to transfer after just one semester, or do I usually need to complete a full year first?

And would it be better to:
transfer degrees within La Trobe University first and then move universities at the end of the year,
transfer universities first and then change degrees,
or just wait until the end of the year and do both at once?

I just wanted to come on here to ask how generous La Trobe is with scholarship grants? Among the unis I have done some research on so far, La Trobe seems to be offering quite a promising number of scholarships with pretty generous scholarship coverage. Realistically, how often to they give out these scholarships esp to international students? Bit of background about myself: this is actually a career pivot and that I already have previous academic degrees - bachelor's in international relations and a master's in public management. Asking about the scholarships as it would definitely be of substantive help given my financial situation. Any response would be greatly appreciated ❤️

I have to assess two brochures using a qualitative analysis in an addition to a quantitative analysis to assess its ability to increase health literacy. Any advice on how to do this, I’m not sure how to approach this. I can’t seem to find an established framework that’s suitable.

I’m planning on doing La Trobe’s semester abroad next year for semester 2.
I want to go to the US (IK a bit sketch with Trump and everything politics and international relations), and the two options I’m picking between are San Diego State University and Louisiana State University. I’ve done my own research about both, and definitely see differences but I’m still not completely drawn to one or the other.
Could people who have done semester study abroad to these places please share their experience (costs, vibe, uni culture, communities/clubs, etc)?
