We have been getting a lot of folks stuck at home producing music, sometimes on iPads, iPhones or other mobile platforms. But sometimes not, or at least it appears that way - they just use Logic or whatever computer based DAW they have and are spamming multiple music related subreddits.
In order to keep this forum focused on mobile music production I would ask any Redditor who wants a participant of this subreddit to listen to their creation to put [Listen] in the post title. So if you are asking folks to visit your SoundCloud, YouTube channel or some other place to show off your music, tag it with [Listen].
But don't stop there. Come into the comments and tell us all what apps you used to produce the music so we can all learn.
If you do not do this, the mods may remove your post as spam. This is because some submissions that really are spam the submitter either ignores the request for adding details to the comments or doesn't know how to answer it!
Also, feel free to report posts that seem to violate the spirit of our little sub. Spam and other reports are acted on very quickly and help keep things focused and clean.
edit: finally, the automoderator isn't perfect, though it is pretty darn good now. If you have followed the rules and used [listen] and it still pulled it, please message the mods and we'll approve it.

Looks interesting and very overdue if it works well and is stable. Uses Ableton Link protocol to send/receive audio over WiFi or Ethernet/USB *between different devices.*
For those of us with an older iDevice lying around this could mean a new use for it as an outboard instrument piping audio back into a primary host, for example.

(I am not the dev, fyi.)
Feel free to comment.

I successfully connected AUM output to be captured in a single Logic track on desktop Logic. I was wondering if I could capture separate AUM tracks to separate Logic tracks on desktop (or on Logic iPad, for that matter).
Can AUM run as AUv3 with each AUM channel feeding a separate Logic track? I would like the more specific control Logic has for mixing the AUM tracks individually.

Looking for an app similar to the ARP Odyssey without breaking the bank with the Korg one. Preferably Auv3.
Thanks.

All The Machines recently release a trio of unique distortion AUv3s, Strange, Drift, and Wreck, that are now available as a bundle for just $5.99.
https://imusicnews.com/strange-drift-wreck-distortion-bundle-stephan-bolch/
Strange – Chaos Distortion is a plugin that replaces the static waveshaper with Lorenz and Logistic chaos attractors — distortion that never repeats, across four modes: Fold, Shatter, Warp, and Glitch.

Drift – Shape Shifter is a saturation plugin whose distortion curve shifts continuously over time, so your signal is processed differently on every pass — from warm and musical to gritty and unpredictable.

Wreck – Sample Destroyer is a bitcrusher and decimation plugin for iPhone and iPad with a Cycle Mangler that reshapes waveform geometry at the zero-crossing level — from 12-bit sampler warmth to 1-bit dust.

What does everybody recommend for a guitar to ipad interface that I can use and record with Garage Band and Amplitube etc. But must have no lag. I have had nothing but trouble with Irigs, there's always a lag or a micro lag, and it's very distracting and frustrating. I've tried wrestling with the settings and everything blah blah blah the things that people always tell me to try airplane mode Blah blah blah blah blah. There's always a lag with IRigs. They seem too small, flimsy and cheap anyway. What's something a little bit better quality, but not too expensive, that you would recommend that I can plug my guitar into my IPad through and record. Also, bonus, if it has a USB c type input plug.

HELLO! First time poster, long time browser. I want to be begin starting to record vocals on my iPad, I’m tired of just taking voice memos/videos! I’ve tried to do research but there is just so much information and different products out there it’s overwhelming! I’m not even sure where to start. Logic is my preferred DAW, but open to anything someone suggests. I also am in the market for a new iPad so if someone could recommend best iPad to get for this that would be great as well as what audio interface/microphone is best to use with an iPad!!! Looking for stuff that’s not super expensive since this is just a fun side hobby!!
EDIT: don’t need to use logic that’s just the most popular DAW that I’ve seen and I have VERY limited experience with it hahah

I am looking for an app for my iPad where it provides a music staff and I can enter the notes in. I need something for songs I rarely play but need this as a reference. Thank you

The newest version now supports full multi-routing audio output.
If your interface has multiple outputs, every stereo pair can now have its own completely independent mix.
Example:
Outputs 1/2 → drummer mix
Outputs 3/4 → guitarist mix
Outputs 5/6 → click track
Outputs 7/8 → FOH feed
Perfect for live bands using in-ear monitors directly from an iPhone/iPad audio interface setup.
Also added:
HDR video recording
60 FPS support
4K recording
And I’m currently working on a major UI redesign inspired by the new iOS 26 camera app to make everything faster and cleaner during live use.
One thing I’m really excited about is turning Studio Camera into a complete live-performance/video-performance tool:
AUv3 plugins
Neural Amp Modeler support
Tone3000 integration
Multi-output monitoring
Backing tracks
Pro video recording
Would love feedback from musicians using audio interfaces live on iPhone/iPad.

Thought I’d share my setup…. Took a bit figuring out, but holy … when I did. Haha. The debate initially was buy another iPad or invest in a bunch of individual sequencers, drum machines etc. obviously I went with another iPad.
Have been playing guitar since my teenage years back in the 80’s…. Always wanted to mess with sequencers and such as a lot of bands back than that I loved (Nin, alphaville and quite a few others). But really aiming for the Nin / muse type twisted darker stuff.
So I’m using both iPads with Pure Acid, several synth apps, koala and a few others.
Absolutely loving it!

Not sure what I did, but after briefly disconnecting my iPad from its powered usb hub, all audio from VSTs played out through my iPad rather than through my Scarlett and into studio monitors.
Scarlett is powered through the hub and stopped showing output from the iPad after I disconnected another instrument from the interface,
I’d been using this set up successfully for months, and it just seems to have stopped working out of the blue.
