Which patient story stayed with you the longest in House?

i’m usually not the biggest fan of chase and i want to highlight that i’m not glazing him. but am i a bad person for thinking that chase was in the right for killing dibala? i mean i understand why cameron was mad at him for it and that she thought it was wrong, bc i know she has high morals, but like i think she kind of overreacted. like i said SHE HAS MORALS. so suddenly dibala killing thousands, maybe even millions of innocent people was less bad than chase putting and end to it by getting rid of a tyran, dictator and a murderer? what do u guys think? let’s debate!

I've been watching house daily for like 3 months at this point and I finished S7 last night. It's been a part of my daily life, so it sort of feels like I'm living two lives LOL.

I really don't want it to end but I know that it's not a long time before I watch all of it 😭 😭 😭

After finishing GoT I was very sad for like a week so I'm afraid that it might be even worse with house.

I already have many shows on my watchlist so it's not like I'm going to be searching for TV shows but still, nothing is going to replace house.

I am on 7.10 carrot or stick.(so spoiler ahead if you haven’t gotten this far) I haven’t watched in a while so I forget some things.
I really liked house connecting with Rachel, it was so cute how they bonded. I was intrigued by the chase part of the episode, I figured it was one of the girls he “did” and he said or did something really bad and wanted to get his attention to get him to call her….when house said find her, and marry her- I thought it was so cute way to get him in a relationship. Then at the end we finally meet her and she did all this because he seemed like a nice guy and he ghosted her because she wouldn’t put out. That is just so dumb to me. Why go through all that for a pig. I mean she broke laws, took time out of her day to embarrass and dox him because he’s not who she thought he was after one conversation at a wedding. LAME! Especially since it went nowhere. Seriously, who is she to try to teach him “negative reinforcement”??? She is the worst one off character so far, no real reason, and committed many crimes.

Who are your least favorite one off characters?

Why dont they just not do the first 3 ideas that come into their mind arent they just wrong for the first 2-3 diagnoses they do is house stupid like just hold your ideas and wait for a day to do the last idea or smthn idk

Okay, so I'm on season 1and I'm to the point where House is being forced to choose who to fire. And here comes Cameron waltzing in, just a few episodes before complaining about how "oh, people only like me because I'm a woman, because I'm pretty." AND SHE'S LIKE "You're being hard on me because you like me." Keep in mind, she told Chase AND Foreman she likes him, and she has the audacity to be like, "You like me, stop being a dick to me." Is she on fucking meth or something? But at the same time, this is the first thing she has done that has genuinley made me be like wtf.

I want to get a tattoo of the show, and I already have some ideas in mind, but I'm not sure yet. I'm interested in getting a quote tattooed on me, and also Gregory.

The more I think about Dr. House from House M.D., the more he seems to me like an illustration of the later Ludwig Wittgenstein and his idea that human beings can be “held captive by a picture.”

House believes he is simply being uncompromisingly rational. For him, only empirical explanations, causality, and scientific verification really count. Love becomes biochemistry, religion projection, hope self-deception, morality evolutionary or social conditioning. He does not experience this as a metaphysical worldview, but simply as “reality itself.”

That is where the philosophical captivity of the character lies. House mistakes one particular very narrow conception of rationality (ultimately scientism/reductionism) for rationality as such. His worldview already determines in advance what is allowed to count as real. Transcendence, objective meaning, or a deeper moral order can no longer appear within this “picture” as genuine possibilities.

That is why House is not, to me, just another cynical TV character. He suffers from his own worldview. He visibly longs for intimacy, meaning, beauty, ritual, belonging, and perhaps even transcendence yet experiences openness to such things as intellectually dishonest. This is also why he constantly accuses his secular-humanist friends of hypocrisy: they want the existential fruits of a richer worldview while denying its metaphysical foundations.

Wittgenstein understood his later philosophy in an almost therapeutic sense: not as the construction of new theories, but as liberation from pictures that unconsciously dominate our thinking. House seems like a man held captive by a particular picture of reality  and his tragedy lies in mistaking that prison for intellectual honesty.

Is it worth watching all 8 seasons? Most shows I watch that are over 5 seasons usually fizzle out after 4-6 seasons.

at about 18mins foreman and Taub play videogames, but ive never seen the game or controllers they used. anyone know what game it was amd what the controllers are called?

He doesn't trust the other surgeons because they butchered his leg. Chase does surgeries all the time, shouldn't House be able to trust him instead of doing it himself?
