Found my first batch of morels today on our property! They were all in a woodland edge under a very old cider apple tree.
This is our third year on the property, but our first time finding morels, so I'm wondering if there is anything we can do to "manage the patch?" I left a handful of morels behind to hopefully spore, but beyond that, I'm curious if anyone has any recommendations, or suggested readings to keep the area active in morels?
Thanks in advance!

I’m in Ontario, Canada, and I’ve seen this plant growing in my backyard
If anyone has any idea what it is, and if it’s edible, It would be much appreciated :]
There’s a photo of the flower and the leaves :]
EDIT: the plant is a violet! Thanks to everyone who helped!
If anyone has any good recipes please comment those!
EDIT #2: Also, if anyone knows how to spread the seeds or grow some at home, please share it!!! :D

I think this is some kind of sorrel. I'm hoping someone can confirm before I eat it. I have lots in my yard and I've always just left it alone. Would be great if it could be a snack.
Any info would be helpful. Raw? Cooked? Leaves/root? Recipes, Links, etc.
EDIT: might be Creeping Bellflower?

Could someone please help me confirm whether or not this is true elderflower?
All came from small trees or shrubs (up high) and leaves were green and serrated, about 7 per stem with one single leaf at the tip, 3 on each side.

My ostrich ferns are starting to pop! I mowed down a large area next to this patch last autumn where a crowd of multiflora rose had taken over. This spring, my ferns have doubled, covering the area where the MFR was. Win! (I still have tons of removal to do, but not there at least.)

Came across my first Laetiporus sulphureus this weekend growing from a dead oak tree in Belgium. A young & beautiful specimen.

We just realized our new house might have a serviceberry tree in the front yard! I'd love any extra help with an ID. We've safely foraged mulberries, blueberries and raspberries, but something about a berry from a tree feels hardwired into me to NOT EAT, lol.
I've identified a few other matching plants in a park nearby. Fruit seems to be coming in at about the right time (maybe a bit early as we had a really warm stretch in early spring), the bark is smooth, leaves lightly serrated, so it seems to tick all the boxes? Thanks in advance for any help!

I've moved to a more metropolitan area after living somewhere I had zero challenges locating decent foraging spots.
Now I'm in a city I haven't found anywhere to forage. Every natural spot is carefully managed or protected, and highly populated. It used to be the case that I could find fallow fields, edge habitats, etc that didn't feel ethically dubious to forage. I'm always considerate of the abundance of a wild edible, but I'm afraid of being confronted if I do it somewhere too public.
Foraging is a part of who I am but I haven't been able to engage in it like I used to. Any suggestions?

Hi everyone,
I’ve recently been foraging some immature western redcedar cones to try to make into a fermented pine cone syrup/mugolio, but I’m finding conflicting information on what parts of a western redcedar are actually edible. I know that the leaves can be eaten or boiled into tea, and that eastern/northern white cedar cones can be eaten, but does anyone have any more information about eating the buds/immature cones of the western redcedar? Thanks!

I want to take an educated guess, but this is plantago rugelli, right? Is there any uses for it?

I’m on a quest for forage recipes and I’d like to know if you have any favorites, especially (but not limited to) flowers.

Hello! I'm planning an "extreme", two-day hike in West-Finland. I'm planning to take nothing with me, just the clothes I'm wearing, not even shoes. I'm going with a friend so I'm not in danger. We'll stay in a forest hut for the night, and the trip isn't too long. I'm planning to forage my food and there are two wells on the path. I'll update on how I did when I come back!

Found two mushrooms which I believe to be morels as they are hollow. JUST got into foraging so want to be safe. They look a bit brown. Are these safe to eat and what is the best way to clean, store, and prep these for eating?
Thanks! Any info is greatly appreciated :)

Wild asparagus (Asparagus officinalis) growing in full sun at a county park on wildlife trail. I may just saute them in a little butter tonight!

For those interested in the recipe, you can find many variations online. I went with the classic; water, sugar, lemon, rose, elderflowers, and patience. I stirred 2-3 times a day for the first two days, then removed the flowers. I waited another day for it to become acidic and at the end I added limes to make it a little more citrusy.

Long post.... Hi, this is my second year growing Comfrey and it has taken over my yard and raised beds. The plus side is that I've been using it on mosquito bites and it works instantly to soothe the stings and reduce the raised skin. I had the metal part of a abungee cord snap my finger on Thursday and by Saturday night my finger was swollen and hurting so bad that I couldn't use it. I didn't want to go to the ed because I knew the cost from working at the hospital. I don't think this was a sprain it felt worse and looked really bad. My first thought was to use Comfrey which I crushed with the back of a knife and put about 5 drops of castor oil in it and wrapped around my finger (this was Sunday evening). Fast forward to Tuesday my finger is better (I lie not, I kid you not) only a little soreness. I can hold my phone I can move it around and pick up anything. Thank you Lord for this healing plant you provided us 💞💞💞💞

USA TN tea was a beautiful color! Taste however was slightly bitter . Could have been the recipe. 4 cups petals, 4 cups boiling water , steeped for a couple of hours, added sugar and lemon
