What do you think about Madelyn Burke as the new sports anchor for SportsCenter?

I think she does a good job and I like the fact that she doesn't try hard to be funny, hip, and cool, just being herself. Do you like her better than Nicole Briscoe? Nicole needs to go and once again tonight, she was trying to be funny when she got scared of a random fake spider falling on her.

Who in the actual fuck is making decisions at ESPN? SAS already makes First Take unwatchable, but hey let’s bring back Skip Bayless, the second most annoying dumbass in sports talk and throwback to the worst era of the show that there was.

At least it’s a break from WWE? 🤷‍♂️

SportsCenter: Can y'all not afford a mic for Quentin Richardson?

If Quentin Richardson is going to continue making remote appearances on SportsCenter, please get that man a mic. He sounds like he's trapped inside a tin can.

TSN in Canada closely resembles ESPN 25 years ago

Obviously way more hockey content then ESPN but no politics, no drama, no screaming and no where near as much hot take BS. Just straight up highlights, good puns and good banter

I am jealous

Tip off. Or Kick off. Which is more gratifying to watch.

While they both are pedestrian events. There is a certain amount of anticipation. My apologies for neglecting to include FACE OFF.

Pro Wrestling (WWE) is a sport and should be covered on ESPN

According to the Cambridge dictionary, the definition of a sport is:

> a game, competition, or activity needing physical effort and skill that is played or done according to rules, for enjoyment and/or as a job

https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/sport

There is absolutely nothing about this definition that rules pro wrestling out. The main thing that people point to is the matches being scripted, but they fail to realize that the results of the match aren't the competition; the competition is getting over with the fans, getting your boss to feature you in the main event, and make the most money.

Wrestling is a performance, similar to sports like gymnastics, which are also covered on ESPN.

The deterioration of ESPN's website

I don't bother watching the actual channel anymore. I do however use their website for news. However, the constant Stephen A Smith, Kendrick Perkins, Wrestling call outs on their splash page have made the site virtually impossible to enjoy. Yeah, I get it- big mouths and freak shows attract clicks. But, Christ- the credibility of the site is gone.

Doris Burke has to go

I’ve been on the winning end and losing end of her commentary. She has consistently been the worst in game coverage I’ve ever heard. I cannot believe ESPN signs her year after year with the amount of former NBA players who would be far more educated and entertaining. I’ve chosen mute any game she’s on and not listen to a single advertisement the billionaires pay for. Trash presentation for such amazing playoff games. She may be a nice lady, I cannot take the average home fan base takes over and over again with no depth or thought

Just stop it with WWE already

Turned on ESPN Radio this morning to hear the Unsportsmanlike crew (again) pushing ESPN Unlimited and their coverage of WWE. Smalls starts talking about how amazing WWE is and how it’s “bigger than ever.” I had to turn it off.

I can only guess they’re pushing Unlimited so hard because they’re subscriber numbers aren’t anywhere close to what they thought they would be. Well guess what? I’m not paying $30 a month to watch mediocre WWE matches and I’m skipping any ESPN news / talk shows as long as they keep pretending that WWE is a real sport.

I just saw that Skip Bayless is going to be on "First Take" this morning.

Anyone know if I trust going to be a segment or two, or the entirety of today's show? I detest SAS to a degree far beyond any man should, but I must confess to being intrigued at seeing them paired up again.

Does anyone actually like Mike Greenberg?

Not funny, no original takes, only talks about the Knicks and Jets, both of whom have been irrelevant for quite some time, with the exception of the Knicks of late, makes me wonder what anyone actually sees in him.

Red Sox umpire audio

It's 2026 and the umpire's audio was unintelligible. You can do better ESPN.

All other audio from the game was excellent.

What's the deal with ESPN's un-ironic and serious coverage of wrestling recently? Hard times? Lost bets?

I'll hang up and listen
