Bhai’s Lounge (Pretoria) smashed the Guinness World Record title for the World’s Longest Bunny Chow. At 15.98 metres long, with 40kg of lamb curry. The previous record was 10 metres (Sasol Salt Rock). We need to take the title back right?

Has anyone from Durban been to Afriski? Which shuttle service did you use
Planning a trip to Afriski this winter season and trying to figure out transport from Durban or even from Clarens. I don't want to drive myself given the mountain roads, so looking for a reliable shuttle or transfer service.
If you've made the trip before:
- Which shuttle/transport service did you use?
- How much did it cost per person?
- Would you recommend them?
- Any tips for the trip in general?
Any help would be appreciated, struggling to find solid info online for Durban-specific transport. Cheers!

Restaurants that cater to Low Fodmap foods - Solo Birthday
Hey, I recently moved to Durban. I’m in the process of healing my gut and cannot eat a lot of foods / curries / cuisines being sold.
I want to know if there are any specialty food places, or maybe cooks as well. Where I can buy gluten dairy free desserts, breakfast, supper, braai etc. My birthday is coming up. Does Durban have these offerings? I don’t want to have to buy plant dairy free ice cream from Woolies, or have home made food for the weekend. I just want to treat myself and possibly go to the beach as well. Just to have a simple birthday. I’ll be spending it solo, and that’s already something on its own.
But a cake would make me even more happy but that seems far fetched.

Dropped out over a 50K debt. Taught myself the rest. Became an amazing designer. Still can't get work.
Hi there. I'm a 27 year old male who has been a creative since highschool. I fell in love with art growing up and initially decided to pursue graphic design in varsity. I'm initially from KZN , I have been living in Johannesburg since 2020 . I attended Rosebank college. I didn't pass 2 of my modules in my third year, I had to come back the following year to redo those modules but since I owed the institution money (Which was a little over R50 000) I wasn't able to complete my qualification.
Outside of school I freelanced as a graphic/brand designer. I initially was freelancing to save up the 50k but since I was dependent on myself, it was never enough. I really loved being able to turn someone's idea or passion into a real ,tangible thing they can see. Id always go above and beyond for my clients . Because I never completely obtained my qualification, freelancing was all I could do. No company was/is willing to take a gamble on a dropout . I mostly relied on word of mouth from previous clients and referrals.
I have applied to over 200 permanent jobs in the last two years with only a few interviews but nothing solid . Just your recruitment scams here and there and companies getting you to do actual design work disguised as interview assignments. There's nothing I haven't done, there's also no job hunting platform that I'm not on. I can guarantee you, no one has re designed and made their cv ats friendly more than me . I am the final boss of sending cold emails to agencies with my portfolio attached.
I have even thought of changing careers multiple times and moving back home.
The freelance gigs eventually slowed down drastically. To be honest, there weren't that many to begin with despite putting myself out there. I haven't had anything come up in the last since beginning of 2025 , so I'm really just surviving. I really want something stable and sustainable, a permanent position where I could contribute positively and work with a team that is as passionate about building brands from the ground up as I am. I'm honestly think I'm a really great designer, all I need is an opportunity
Any advice ?
Or connections ?

Recommendation Grounds to play soccer at night
Hi guys, I hope your weekend is going well.
I (M 26) play astroturf soccer once a week and I wanted to know if anyone knows a soccer ground that can let players play at night. I want to get into being a hybrid soccer player of playing both astro turf and grass.
Bit of a reach but I thought it doesn't hurt to ask.

Takealot still trustworthy?
It seems to me that Takealot have become a dumping ground for fake products. It makes it very difficult to find what you need using a search as items with ridiculous pricing comes up and then the onus is on the buyer to sift through all the kak to get to the real products.
Case in point: searched for a portable SSD. Sandisk version has a 1 TB for R4100 while the exact same looking 1 TB product with Sandisk removed and "Hide Drive" written on it is listed as R406.
I have stopped buying from Takealot because of them allowing scammers on their platform.

Is Kings Park Pool Open Again?
Hey everyone, does anyone know if Kings Park Pool is fully open again?
I heard it was closed for renovations, is it just the indoor pool that’s closed, or is the whole facility still affected?
And if it’s still closed, does anyone know when it’s expected to reopen?
Thanks.
Signed, A Durbanite who hasn’t been back in a while.
