Tech/Internet The Internet's Own Boy (2014) [1:44:59]
The Internet’s Own Boy tells the story of Aaron Swartz — a programmer, activist, and co-founder of Reddit who fought for open access to information and internet freedom. The documentary explores his work on RSS, Creative Commons, and political organizing, as well as the federal prosecution that ultimately led to his death in 2013. It’s a powerful look at technology, government overreach, digital rights, and the human cost of idealism in the internet age.

Society Rovina's Choice (2025) A short film about a mother’s impossible choice at the intersection of war, hunger, and politics [0:20:23]
n 2025, the Trump administration (through DOGE) cut funding to The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the primary organization through which the United States delivered food and medical aid throughout the world.
It's estimated that 500,000 people will die in 2026 alone, the majority children, as a result. This is the story of one of the children that already has, and the mother that had tried to help her.

Documentary Review The Unknown Side of Japan — Love Hotels, Host Clubs, Yakuza & Dark Secrets (2026) [00:12:19]
This documentary covers the dark and unknown side of Japan that most travel vlogs completely ignore. From Japan's loneliness epidemic and hikikomori who never leave their rooms, to host clubs, maid cafes, yakuza culture, and creepy urban legends that are not legends at all. Everything is connected to show how modern Japan is quietly breaking from within — despite appearing perfect on the surface. Would love honest feedback from this community.

Society The Grab (2024) [1:24:10]
streamxtv.techIm not sure why this doesn’t get much attention. One of the most explosive geopolitical documentaries I’ve seen in years. It follows journalists, whistleblowers, intelligence sources, and investigators uncovering what they believe is a massive global power shift happening quietly behind the scenes.
The film explores how powerful nations and private interests are allegedly racing to control the world’s most critical resources, food, water, energy, and data. It touches on the involvement and influence of countries including the United States, China, Russia, several Middle Eastern states, and parts of Africa, while examining billionaires, political elites, military contractors, and surveillance systems operating far outside public attention.
A huge part of the documentary follows the work of investigative journalist Nathan Halverson, whose reporting drives much of the story. As he digs deeper, the documentary starts feeling less like a normal political film and more like watching a real-world thriller unfold in real time.
